His team came three days later on time as planned. We walked through with Edgar and Uriel what they were going to do that morning, discussed any changes and then Edgar came when the job was done to walk through what was done and ensured we were satisfied. We live on a large wooded lot in San Rafael and tree work is part of our annual routine... we've used some of the larger companies and also some of the individuals outfits (guy + truck + chainsaws).... A friend recommended All Seasons and they are among the best we have used ever. The owner, Uriel, came by in April and surveyed the site. He knew all the different tree -- and plant -- types and spoke about how they would protect the garden. He also said he would recommend waiting until summer when the rains are over to prevent the sudden oak death spores from potentially infecting the new cuts. I thought this was great advice and he was clearly thinking more about the trees welfare than his own pocket. I called him a few months later and they came out and spent a day pruning trees... very professional, respectful, on-time, and left the place cleaner than they found it. The day of - 8 men came in, worked tirelessly to cut the trees, cleaned up perfectly and managed very professionally the different stakeholders' opinions (neighbors and city official) on how and where to cut the trees. I used this company before and they did good work. I called them to do another job for me. First, they didn't return my call. I waited two weeks and called them again. They said they would call the next day because they had to "look at the schedule". Didn't happen. 7-10 days later I called again and they said they would call back in one hour. They never called back in one hour, in fact, I never heard from them again. I don't get it. If they don't want to work for me it's fine, but don't keep Dogging me like this. He quoted me a price for trimming our large jacaranda tree (I agreed to this) and he said that he could get it done in "mid January." Because I would have to take time off work to meet Eddie at the house, I followed-up THREE TIMES over the course of two weeks to try to nail down an appointment time. Eddie never responded. Then out of the blue at 10:30 a.m. on 1/19/18 (long after I had gone to work), he sent a text wanting to trim our tree THAT DAY. This was impossible, and then he just vanished again. I followed-up THREE MORE TIMES. Eddie did not respond. Finally on FEBRUARY 8, 2018, he texted that he was "booked until March." All Seasons Tree Care is As good as it gets!. Yuriels' crew trimmed some very large trees for my neighbor and I then got an estimate which was extremely competitive. A crew of six very hard working and knowledgeable workers showed up at 8am and worked all days trimming and shaping four large trees and multiple fruit and ornamental trees on our large lot. This is a company that possibly when they show up do an ok job but trying to communicate with them is next to impossible. The characteristics I look for most in a company are communication, commitment, and follow through with what was agreed to. All Seasons Tree Care seems to lack any of these. I was told back in December that they could trim up a pine tree we had on one of our rental properties but it wouldn't be until the end of January. Uriel even gave me a written quote to do the work. I never knew exactly when they were going to do the work. I called Uriel several times to have him give me a date for the work so that I could let my renter and their neighbor know. Finally I spoke with Uriel and he said he would have to check at the office and get back to me. NOTHING!!! After continuing to call I reached him again and he was just getting back from out of town but he would get back to me and again NOTHING!!! The only call I am making is to let them know they have lost my business and hopefully much more business with this review. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY!! I had 2 great experiences with All Seasons Tree Care this month and they are now my go-to tree care guys. Uriel is encyclopedic about trees and shrubs and impressed me with his knowledge. I see he has one bad review concerning the time his guys showed up, 8am. Personally, that time suited me, but you can ask them to show up later if noise is a concern. Both times, the quote was very reasonable, the understanding of the task was evident, the crew came in and out fast with all safety gear and precautions taken and they have the tools and machinery that you hope they have. They wore hardhats, harnesses when ascending trees, and when spraying was needed they used environmentally safe products (not Roundup). They even boarded up the wood chipper from the street to protect curious children and passers by. Both times the job exceeded my expectations, including just a little bit extra than originally agreed. Best of all, these guys are friendly, not ostentatious. They are hard working, professional and safe. I sincerely recommend All Seasons and found them much nicer to deal with than the marin based tree services. read more
