The glazing had come off some tile and there was mold in some of the grout on the walls and where the seams of the floor and wall met. Jesse is very responsive, polite and respectful. The job entailed replacing some cracked limestone tiles which I provided. The job was performed "as scheduled" and his workers were courteous. The only reason I didn't rate this project 5 stars was there was a tad bit of confusion it seemed with what the job entailed in the beginning, which I understand since there was a lot of back and forth and they had other jobs going on but also in the end, although I understand replacing tiles takes skill, the tiles, although they were cut to fit well, the height of some of the replacement pieces are not flush with the existing floor level. It's not hugely off and it's not a high traffic area but it's enough that I notice it when walking over the area barefoot. Having said that his quote was over10% less than another contractor and it was obvious he was not trying to overcharge for his services, unlike some contractors who take one look at the neighborhood and seem to jack up their bids accordingly. We hired Jesse and crew for tie and grout cleaning for our new home. His quote was the most reasonable for our project. We had to change around the date a few times but he was patient and worked with us. The kitchen grout especially had turned black and he was not only able to restore it, he helped seal in some cracks as well. He also pointed out areas that needed repairs/sealing besides what we asked him to do. He offered to teach us how to do some repairs ourselves instead of charging us for them. Negative stars. DO NOT do business with this person. Find a licensed contractor and pay more for better quality work So you don't get taken advantage of like I did. Jesse has stolen at least $1590 of my $2590 deposit and left me with an unfinished kitchen I can't use. My cabinets were never finished nor counter. I gave him the money to buy my countertop which he never did and was supposed to buy the day i gave it to him, he never got it and then told me he doesn't have the money to buy it, he needs "more money". I'm Waiting on my $1500 refund that he's refusing to give me. I gave him $2590 in cash all hundreds trusting that I would get a good end result and all I'm left with is unfinished cabinets, and having to redo the little work he did do. Very Unprofessional, he sent a one man crew who doesn't speak English to do a big job which took well over the time frame only to still not finish, also sent his wife and step father to do terrible work! literally the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with.
