We have been very disappointed with All Pro. Communication, timeliness, and follow through have really lacked. We paid for tune ups for two air conditioning units on our property. However, only one was thoroughly addressed; the second had indoor and outdoor filters that were never cleaned and were filled with debris and dust. When that unit failed to perform again, it was almost impossible to get All Pro back out. We resorted to working with a different company (for another hefty fee!), whose technician discovered the clogged filters, as well as three leaks that needed addressing. All of this during a horrible, triple digit heatwave. We are the first to compliment companies who do a great job! Needed a complete HVAC unit and received 3 bids...Keith gave me a very competitive bid and after talking with neighbors who told me they would use him again and trusted him...we decided to go with All Pro....I live in Folsom and wanted to get a local to do the job...The whole tear out and install took a few days, but well worth the wait. They did a very professional job, showed up on time, and didn't hesitate to answer all my questions and concerns. We've had a chance to use it for 3 weeks or so and it works great! We are extremely pleased with the professionalism, pricing and service from this company and would highly recommend them! We called All Pro Heating and Air for an estimate on a new HVAC system as ours was 20 years old and wasn't cooling the house. They scheduled an appointment right away for Keith, the owner, to give us an estimate. The price was very reasonable. Keith recommended a bigger capacity unit (with a good warranty), as our current one was rated for a much smaller house. Our install was scheduled for a week later. Keith and his crew came out and completed the removal of the old unit and install of the new unit in one day! In addition, he improved our air flow, replaced some registers, installed a new WiFi thermostat, and removed the smart vent. The crew wore masks, protected our flooring, had the old unit hauled away, and cleaned up the work area. My AC died during a heat wave when it was 110º outside. I'm a bit of a DIYer so I crawled into the attic, did some troubleshooting, and determined that my furnace blower wasn't working... but I wasn't sure if it was the motor or the ECM... and I didn't feel like going without AC for weeks as I stumbled through the project. So without knowing better, I called one of those HVAC companies that I'd heard on the radio for years. I told them what I'd discovered, and they sent out a "technician" (along with a $100 diagnostic fee) to inspect my system. This tech was nice, but quickly "turned" me to a "system design consultant" who would "show me some options." Long story short, they told me my system wasn't worth spending $2,500 to repair and employed their sales gimmicks to attempt to sell me at $40,000 rip out and replace of the whole system! Sure, it's 16 years old, but it has lots of life left in it. So I searched yelp for local companies, and Keith was one of the first to respond (through his wife Kelly on yelp messenger). He came out the next morning, actually listened to me, then went and inspected the system and verified that the blower was dead. Turns out that my particular Trane ECM motor is 3-4x more expensive than most motors, so Keith didn't have one on hand. He started making calls, checked warranties, and eventually found a supplier that could get one on the truck that night! He came back on his weekend just to install it for us before he traveled for work on Monday. And while he was here, he showed me things that I could do to better maintain my system each year and improve the lifespan! $1,350 later my system is up and running and my house is a pleasant 72º again. Bottom line: Keith is prompt, friendly, knowledgable, professional, and just plain someone that you want to do business with. Keith, was very helpful in getting our furnace replaced. On very short notice a few months back, when it first gave out, he was quick to come out and give us a competitive bid. We repaired instead. Now between the holidays, the furnace gave out again. He updated his bid on a Friday and said he would come out Saturday before New Year's Eve and replace it. This is my son's house. My son got one other bid that despite our request for a bid only to replace, again repaired the unit saying they would credit the repair cost against their replacement, which they could not do for a week. The competing bid was 50% above what Pro-Air was willing to do for a comparable furnace. We had Keith come out and he installed a premium furnace at a fraction of the cost of what his competition would do. This is probably piling on at this point given the great reviews All Pro has gotten, but I wanted to add my 2 cents. I had a HVAC system that was on its last legs and I didn't have much knowledge of HVACs. I compared many different company's on price, reliability of the systems they quoted (go to http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/magazine/2012/12/most-and-least-reliable-gas-furnaces/index.htm for reliability ratings) and warranties, and All Pro came out on top. But, probably most importantly I felt that Keith was the most trustworthy person I spoke with. Keith was very helpful explaining rating systems and the SMUD financing options so that I felt very comfortable with my decision, and walked me through the entire process from installation to the final inspection. This was important because every company I spoke to quoted different systems and made different recommendations on SEER and EER ratings, intake duct size, drain pans, etc. He and his team were prompt, efficient, friendly and cleaned up every thing after they finished each day. About two years ago, I found I needed a new furnace. It was up in the attic, in a hard to reach area. I had called a few "well know" furnace repair companies. One company came out, and I ended up paying $459, for a repair that did not work. They said I also needed to replace the thermostat ($160), along with the furnace. I called another company, and their bid was around $4,000. I went online and did some research, looking to buy a similar furnace for less, and locate a licensed heat/air person to install it. I ended up finding a Goodman unit at a "wholesale" price, direct from a local warehouse. On their website was a list of "approved" contractors. Since I live in Folsom, CA, I called All Pro Heating & Air, which was also in Folsom. Keith answered the phone. I told him I had already found the furnace, at a price I liked. He said he would be happy to pick it up for me (no mark-up in price), bring it to my house and install it. Including the cost of the furnace, his price was almost $2,000 less than the other company. Plus the furnace I found had a 10 yr. warranty, where theirs only had a 5 year. Keith also said he liked Goodman, and it was a good product. He came over with the new unit a few days later. He installed it, and took the old one away. He also told me I did not need a new thermostat, just a little adjustment. Not only was he inexpensive, but he was honest. I noticed that he took his time with my job, (it took a lot longer than he had thought it would, due to the ducting needing to be repaired). He did not charge me for that. He answered all my questions, and actually came back at 8:30 pm, to drop off a part. He goes above and beyond. I have referred him to my daughter Samantha, and also my son Christopher. Both were very happy with the work he did on their air conditioning systems. The only small drawback is, he is a busy guy, so you may need to work with his schedule. Saw the reviews on Yelp, and decided to give Keith a call due to the problems I was having with my gas furnace. Made arrangements with him to arrive in the late afternoon, which suited both of our schedules. Our furnace is located under our house in an area that you can actually stand up in. Keith got right to work, amking a few adjustments to the flue and the tubing that neede to be replaced. He made a few suggestions which I can easily do. I got the impression that Keith was about 'doing the right thing' instead of trying to sell new units as a catch-all for any problems you might have. Our 28 yr old Trane heat pump finally blew up.We had a few estimates on upgrading to a complete new system with gas heat .Keith came over and gave us the straight story on our options and a fare price.We had read the good reviews that All Pro had received on Yelp and decided to go with Keith. A tech from Beutler said we had about $7600.00 of work to get the system in good shape or a total replacement system for $12,193.00 . He said several things that did not make sense, like our duct system needed cleaning. About a year before on a similar check up, that tech said our system was in great shape and the ducts were surprisingly clean. So I did what you're doing, went searching through on-line reviews to find a very professional and honest company to get a second opinion. After finding a lot of great reviews, and specific comments about honesty, ...I settled on All Pro and talked with Keith. He's busy and it sometimes takes a day to track him down but he is totally worth it!!! A very thorough and honest specialist. He came by and went through our system. I told him what Beutler had said needed work or replacement. He checked everything and found the entire system was in very good shape. No work was needed, the ducts did not need cleaned and everything that the Beutler tech said was worn, failing or corroded was a total lie. Tech's from large companies get a commission or fee from any equipment they sell to customers so there is a big incentive to lie about current equipment and get people to buy replacements or do major maintenance. If you are looking for someone that is honest and you can trust to be absolutely straight and professional, .....just go with Keith at All Pro. You won't regret it and won't have to worry about getting scammed. For several years I have had an annual maintenance contract with a major AC/heating company, but had not been at all happy with their deteriorating service. I had not noticed any problems with the operation of my system, and was not planing to renew my contract after a final routine service in January. At that appointment, however, the technicians told me that my 15 year old AC/heating system had so many issues that it would not be cost effective to repair it. I called in another major company in the area for a second opinion, but got the same treatment. Both companies used aggressive sales tactics to try to convince me to spend around $12,000 for an entirely new system, pressuring me with deadlines for special deals. They provided no alternative solutions for a more affordable repair, were not interested in discussing the options. They both also repeatedly referred to the danger of carbon monoxide leakage into the house because there was a hole in my heat exchange, causing me to feel urgency to resolve the issue. Because I have some other, unrelated but very expensive home repair issues to deal with right now, I was especially concerned to find a more cost-effective solution. A friend and coworker recommended All Pro. Keith came and inspected the unit, determined that the heat exchange was still under warranty, and so was able to get the part replaced for free from the manufacturer (whereas the other companies were quoting me several thousand dollars for the part). Keith did not feel there were any other issues that required immediate attention, and thought I should be able to get another five years out of my system with proper maintenance. He did the repair efficiently and for a reasonable price, was professional and friendly to deal with. I was especially pleased that Keith's company is local to Folsom and I could support a Folsom business owner. After the AC unit on my rental property quit I did an abundance of research to locate a good, fair, and reputable HVAC repair company. I decided to call All Pro. I called four times on 8/12/13 and each time received a message that the voicemail box was full. I went to the website and sent a message via the contact form there. I did not receive a reply. I called again on 8/13/13 and got voicemail. I left a message asking for a call back, even if it was only to say they were too busy to handle the work. I did not receive a call back. On 8/15/13 with the temperatures rising to over 100 degrees I called another company. Keith may be great, but his company communication is extremely poor. I suggest that he take steps to improve his response to voicemail and web contacts if he wants to maintain a high rating here at Yelp. read more

This review is long overdue! We had family arriving from out of town, it was one of the hottest weekends of the year, when our 14 year old Air Conditioning Unit started to make funny noises, and then started to blow warm air. I happened to be outside, saw a neighbor and asked if he had any recommendations for a good Heating & Air Company as we've used a few in the past that weren't all that good. He highly recommended Keith from All Pro Heating & Air. We called and spoke with Keith, who was extremely busy, but said he'd stop by on his way back from another job. He arrived in no time, gave the unit a quick inspection, repaired a part and advised us to schedule a maintenance call in the future. He left without giving us an invoice, so we thought he'd send us a bill, but never did. We called more than several times with our information and still did not hear back from him. Months passed, the Air Conditioning Unit finally died on us, and we called on All Pro again. Keith gave us several options with repairing for replacing the Unit. With the deal he was recommending to replace the entire HVAC System, we decided to go for it. It's been almost a year since the new HVAC was installed, and we have been extremely happy. I was looking to replace my heater and air conditioning unit before its end of life (original builder grade heater and air conditioner 14 years old and had some problems). I called many of the larger companies that I hear on the radio, TV, and mail for proposals and their recommendations. He sealed the duct work on our old house and then replaced all of the duct work on our new house, replaced the furnace and provided zoning on our 2 levels. I can't say enough good things about Keith and his crew at All Pro... only wish I could give them 6 stars :) Just purchased a house that needed all new ducting run and a new unit. Keith came out on his day off without me having to be there and emailed me a VERY fair quote. I had received a verbal quote from the company that had serviced the unit prior the the house being put on the market and they wanted about 15% more to replace everything with equal (a 2 ton unit) equipment. Keith's quote included a 3 ton unit, which was what was recommended for the 1530 sf house. The day after I got the keys Keith and his crew were there at 8AM and finished the whole job in 2 days. Before they started the job Keith went around with me to verify what they would be doing and if I had any concerns. We decided to cut in a few more registers but not before he was able to check with his guys under the house that it could be done; they had actually found one that had been covered over with new subfloor so cut that back out. They took out the plywood under the kitchen sink and put in a register at the toekick under the sink cabinet (LOVE THAT) and then cleaned (old sheetrock, dirt, and mouse droppings) and sealed that compartment before putting the plywood back on. They cleaned and sealed all the registers tubes right to the subfloor and floor cover, completely sealed the unit where it enters the crawlspace. They were able to modify the new unit to fit onto an existing concrete berm so that it sits above the wet ground instead of in the mud and surrounded by the berm like the old unit. They worked until after dark the 2nd day to get everything done and tested. I am VERY impressed with their professionalism, service, and friendly faces. AND Keith has a 10 warranty on his work! They have arrived ON TIME (which lets face it, rarely happens these days), they are thorough, HONEST, professional and very reasonably priced! I had one place tell me I needed a specific part replaced and when All Pro came out, they said my unit was in perfect condition and just need routine maintenance. We have a rental property that they service for us as well. When we went to sell the home, the seller's "home inspector" did not check the AC unit for them. So our 20 year old HVAC furnace failed this Christmas holiday. After getting quotes for replacement from a big and then a small vendor, we requested a quote from Keith. His price for a top rated unit was thousands less than the other quotes we had for lower rated systems. He said he and two techs would do the entire job the Friday before the New Year's holiday weekend. He arrived Friday morning with only one tech, the other having a family commitment. I said we would be pleased if he just got the furnace part done today, and the A/C part of the system could wait til another day, but he said he thought he would do the entire installation.
