I've called Rey's a couple of times already and they never disappoint. One time I had an issue which they couldn't pin point, but they told me to keep calling every time I noticed the sound and they would help me until they could find it. Well...it turns out it wasn't the unit. It was a plumbing issue and they still helped me pin point the issue - no charge. They texted me a you tube video so I could fix it. It's so hard to find companies you can trust, but Rey's has proven themselves. They are always giving back to the community as well. West Sac or surrounding area - just call Rey's first. read more

I will preface this review by saying that this company is responsive and will get a tech out there quickly. But unless you need a simple, residential fix of your HVAC system, they won't bother to service you. I had a tech from Rey's come out a couple weeks ago and after looking at the condenser for Gree mini split that was experiencing an H5 error, the tech just didn't want to diagnose it and look at fixing the unit as he felt it "was too complicated" for as he stated, they only do residential HVAC systems. My unit is part of an apartment complex which is classed as commercial, but HVAC systems are HVAC systems and a company like this one and with their reputation, should be able to fix this. I will also grant that the system is 10 years old. But I had another tech come and was able to diagnose the issue within 30 minutes and found that I just needed to replace a couple temperature sensors that cost a total of $100 and got it up and operational within an hour. Also, the reason I contacted them is that they are listed as a Gree certified partner vendor. He also complained that they used to go out of their way to service customers but got burned or ended up spending too much time and resources, so they now decline service that they consider not "worth their time and effort". When I hear this, I believe this is a company that grew too big and now only focuses on things they can fix easily and will avoid things they consider too difficult. But then my fix was actually pretty easy. Just be aware of their current business state and make sure your fix is easy, but then why bother I guess? Good luck with this contractor... read more

Our AC stopped working on Friday night. We reached out to a few places, Reys responded first so we set an appointment for Saturday between 2-4pm. Adrian showed up promptly at 2:45, he did an inspection explaining everything he was doing. He found the problem and replaced the capacitor. Adrian was professional, knowledgeable and very nice! I saw a lots of 5 stars on yelp so I call them to give me a quote for an HVAC replacement. A couple of other companies came before them and I had some quotes in hand. Jesus came to give me a quote for HVAC replacement. But when he looked at the failed unit, he told me I may fix it for you and he did!. What a surprise, :) he saved me thousands of dollars. He even didn't want to charge me for anything but when I insist, he just charged me for a simple diagnosis service. He could have charged me for a full HVAC replacement! but he fixed it!. :) Their Yelp five star is a real FIVE. These guys are super honest which might be rare in these days!. Reys Heating And Air I had purchased a brand new AC/heating system/installed from Rey's Heating and Air, and right underneath the three-year mark my heater went out. Had a repair man come out and when you open the unit, you can clearly see it looked like something was burnt out. I was told that was regular wear and tear. The repair man said the unit went out to a piece of black tape, not being wrapped around a wire that should've been included at install. He wrap a small piece of black tape around the wire charged me $80 and was on his way. My husband came home and was upset that I was charged $80 to wrap a piece of black tape around a wire that I was told that should've been included at the install, and addition to that extremely worried that nothing was fixed and the unit malfunction. Sure enough a few weeks later the unit started to ark, went out completely, and sparks were flying. We had to disconnect it. Another repair rep came out, opened it up, which it looked exactly the same, and immediately identified that the board went out and it needed to be replaced. He also identified a lot of wires that were not placed correctly, causing them to not work properly, which his company clearly installed this way since it was a brand new unit installed by them. My husband has a photo of the board prior to the first repair man coming out and also a current photo and they are exactly the same. Why the first repair man wasn't able to identify that the board needed to be replaced and decided to advise that we only needed a piece of tape wrapped around a wire was complete negligence, and extremely disappointing. If this was fixed at that point in time we wouldn't have had to go a week without a heater. Apparently they didn't have the board in stock so rather than overnighting for the inconvenience it was ground shipped over which took 5 to 7 business days and was received the day Monday the day before Veterans Day's. I was told they were closed on Veterans Day so that would be another day that I had no heater and I wasn't able to get an early appointment on Wednesday morning, which should've been expedited. The board was replaced, the repairman advised he wasn't going to charge me for labor. I guess I was supposed to do a cartwheel, even though I had to go a whole week without a heater in the winter, the first repair man clearly didn't want to help me, and was negligent, and this whole process could've been completely avoided. And my unit went out less than three years after I purchased a whole new one. Now after the experience I've had do you think I would recommend them for the next person. read more

cannot thank Rays enough for their timely responses and thorough inspection of our HVAC system. Gonzo was amazing! He explained what he observed (our unit has weird and inconsistent heating). He ran several tests and asked to inspect our attic (which I learned has our diverters). After his inspection, he determined not just 1 but multiple options for us, which I appreciated. Rather than presenting us with a single big fix, he also presented us with smaller fixes that we could implement now to achieve consistent heat/cooling in the house. He also pointed out that our units were past their serviceable lifespan. So having the least expensive and smallest fix options was nice knowing that we probably have to replace our entire HVAC in the near future. read more

Yelp inquiry and schedule said phone consultation but they said in person on the day of. Customer service said "we've never heard of phone consultation " so I had to send them a screenshot for proof. I had to let tech come earlier but felt slow on task- only found switch not working. Felt it was Appropriate pricing for diagnosing our house fan = $79. I Was told they have to check if the kind of switch we have is available. Then gave me an estimate of $395 to change the "faulty switch" for quietcool. But $79 diagnostic fee go towards the $395. Thankfully, I got a 2nd opinion from a coworker's husband who is an electrician and researched some more online about the estimate. TOO STEEP! The switch is only $35-50 in home depot. I understand we all need to make a living but dayyyyyym. read more

This review is long overdue. We first used Rey's Air Solution back in approximately 2019. Even then, the tech who came out to do our HVAC inspection was punctual, courteous, professional, and knew his stuff. He explained all that he'd done to my husband, and I kept this company in the back of my mind for future HVAC service. Admittedly, we neglected to do our HVAC inspection for quite a few years, and finally reached out to Rey's Air Solution again this year. The tech who came to help us earlier this year conducted himself in the same friendly, professional manner that the first tech had, way back in 2019. Just a few days ago, we were fortunate to have Allen stop by and do our semi-annual HVAC inspection. As with the previous two technicians, Allen was punctual, courteous, professional and friendly. He also took some time to explain to my husband all he had done. It was time to replace a 12 yr old system that just wasn't installed well. After getting multiple quotes, we decided on Rey's. The recommendations on yelp, Reddit and Google all matched the experience we had with Jesus. He gave us a good amount of information on different systems and options for better air flow, never once trying to pressure or upsell us. The quote was also within our price range for a brand we wanted. Install was set up about a week later, and a whole crew of great guys came out. They were clean, polite, and pretty damn funny. I love seeing coworkers happy and having fun. It's important to me to see they enjoy their job and each others company. It was cold the day they came to install, so they made sure to come back on a 80 degree day to make sure the AC was functioning and cooling correctly. Not only is the new unit quiet, but our doors no longer slam closed when the unit comes on, and it no longer sounds like it's not getting adequate air flow. In all, we're very happy with our experience and installation, and glad we stuck with a locally owned company. We look forward to working with Jesus and his crew in the years to come. read more

A co-worker recommended this company based on his experience. I called and had an appointment the next day. Erik came by to do an inspection and give me a quote last week. He inspected my attic, took pictures, and was very thorough and received the quote via email the next day. I appreciated the no frills up-sell. He gave me his recommendations and explained why. Offered the best rated unit Trane but lower SEER and FUE at a better cost when you compare cost savings to upgrade in unit meaning it would take ten years to pay for itself so was it worth it to upgrade? I felt that he was extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. The price was fair and competitive. Now the downside is that they do not offer special financing that is not passed on down to the customer and he explained this to me which made sense. I did not have the money on hand so I had to find my own financing and could not find as good of a deal as a competitor offered for that. Only for that reason, I could not go with them. If I had the money in the bank, they would have been my first choice hands down. Even though I did not ultimately choose them, I highly recommend them! I see why they have 100% five stars. read more

I called Jesus because of a previous review in Yelp that spoke to the same situation I was in: my AC had been diagnosed during regular service as needing either 2500 in refrigerant and capacitor; and/or a whole new unit very soon. I thought it was suspicious that the company would come say it needed replacement at exactly the date the unit was out of warranty (but only 10 years old). So I called Rey's for a second opinion. I didn't tell Adrian the tech what i had been told, so he went right to work and within 15 minutes had found that 1) yes, I needed a new capacitor and 2) no, no way did i need refrigerant or a new unit. He replaced the capacitor for a 1/4 of what my original company would have charged. Rey's rocks! they are honest, they don't try to upsell, and they want your business for life. And they now have it. Yelp gives these guys a good rating and so did Reddit so when my HVAC quit working I decided to give them a call. I had an absolutely terrible experience with Rey's air. Absolutely zero follow though. They came out, looked at my equipment, gave me some options in person to replace the coil that is bad, but said they would follow up with a quote in 24-48 hours. I called 2 days later, they said the unit is discontinued and they would need to quote something that would retrofit it. Fine, please send me a quote, i told them. 2 days later i called back and the tech said they would need to come out and take measurements before they can send me a quote. But the soonest they could be out is 2 days later. I was ready to just sign a contract to have the work done ( 5000 - 7000 was the verbal quote) but apparently they don't want the work. Ill find another local company who values their customers time and energy. read more

Out of the 4 companies that I contacted and got quotes from-- Rey's was the best. First, they were prompt in scheduling. Second pricing was also the best. They also answered all of my questions and were honest about what needed to be done and not done. They did not try to sell me extra things. Also if anyone says "we have direct contact with SMUD and we're the only company that is "certified" and can get you that rebate-- don't fall for it. Every company can get you that rebate, just make sure you have your account number and your name on that account. Micheal was really good about answering my questions via email and phone, Jesus was the one who came and got us the quote-- very nice guy, Cesar scheduled the permit from the city and was also very helpful. Overall satisfied. I forgot the names of the ladies who answers the phones, they were also very friendly and helpful. Job was completed in a day. As promised. read more

Allen came out to do a maintenance check on my heating system. They scheduled with a 2 hour window, texted me a half hour before arrival, and called when he arrived. He was exceptionally professional, informative, friendly, and all around did a fabulous job! Keep him around. The service is very reasonably priced. He took time to explain the system and how it works and that there were no repairs needed. He did offer two services, a maintenance plan and an air scrubber system to purify and filter the air. Technician did not offer the correct repair (which was a leaky valve) instead he initially offered sealant or unit replacement: both options would involve more expense than necessary. After a mediocre experience with a Vacaville HVAC company, Rey's became my go-to techs. I never feel like I'm being upsold and the prices are reasonable. They've done maybe 4 tuneups now and replaced a faulty blower in July. I've met maybe 4 of the techs and they're all nice guys who are happy to answer questions. Provided service today and was exceptional. We were given a 12p-2p arrival time and he arrived at 11:58am and knocked on the door exactly at 12p. He was thorough and clean. He took a ton of photos and reviewed all the photos with me to ensure I knew how things worked, what he did and why. Rey's has become our go-to HVAC company. This is the second time we've had them out here and both times I am very pleased with their service. We had technician Allen Suetos out here today on a same day call for service. Our a/c wasn't working properly and as we go into the summer the last thing I want to deal with it is a malfunctioning a/c. Allen was incredibly professional and competent. He gave me a good education on how our unit works along with some tips on how to keep it functioning in top shape for the long haul. Allen is a great technician. I have asked them four times, to stop emailing me to no avail. Plus the guy that came out was awful. We will be complaining to other consumer sources as well. read more
