There are so many great things to say about Absolute Comfort employees & owners - I am saying what seems most important. But there are even more great qualities than this! 2025 in the spring we purchased a 2 mini split systems for our upstairs - it has a separate living area. An open area, 1 bedroom, and a full bathroom, and as you may know, the top floor gets the hot Sacramento County summer heat! We were so pleased with Absolute Comforts Heating and Air's outstanding service, installation, and Pricing that In the fall of 2025 we bought a central heat & air system from them for our downstairs. Their customer service & pricing far exceeded our expectations. Each experience has been OUTSTANDING! The office staff, field technicians, & owner wee wonderful to work with with. Now it is February 2026 and we have been using the systems for several months & love them! Like anything new we had a couple questions regarding the downstairs units ductwork & the fan speeds. I called hoping a technician could come look at it. I had been putting off the call because most companies would only provide phone answers or charge for a technician to come out. Absolute Comfort came at no charge! Some additional details of our experience is below. I am limited to my number of words so had to remove some paragraphs. From start to finish and top to bottom they are Wonderful!!!! The office staff, sales/ service technician & finishing with the installation technicians - they were all knowledgeable, personable, honest, straightforward and great at their jobs! Absolute Comfort provided quality work and installed great products at the best prices (we had 4 quotes in 2025 and several quotes over the years, since our upstairs addition was added in 2002) - theirs was the best prices by far - and no cutting corners or sacrifing other areas to provided those prices. Top products were installed right by qualified experienced technicians, & provided outstanding customer service by providing clear communication of the steps of the installation and answered questions as we asked them. Even our question months later In the past we had worked with contractors and several companies some were satisfactory, and a couple were awful. So we know about different levels of service, believe us when we say Absolute Comfort is Excellent! They are the whole package; products, owners, & staff. Plus this is a local business. Everyone - the owners, sale, service / installation technicians, the phone / office staff, they are all residents of Northern California. Not out sourced. (Sorry not the systems & parts - those are not from California.) The employees show pride in their work and the company. This can be seen in their work ethic & pleasant demeanor. I am pleased to say, Absolute Comfort provided outstanding service again! In February 2026 I spoke to the office staff, Kristi and Theresa , a few times and they were knowledgeable, professional,, & friendly. I called the office in February and I asked my questions. She asked me to wait and I could hear her talk about scheduling times she came back on the phone & said let's have our technician Jim come out and she asked when I would be available, and gave me a 1 hour appointment window! Hence this new 5 of 5 star review! I am still in awe of this company! They are the best!! Awesome with communication too! The day of the appointment Theresa called me the morning to let me know Jim was snowed in (he lives in the high foothills and there was a cold rain storm the night before - rain here, snow at his place. She apologized and said they really wanted to come today and asked if I was available in the afternoon James the service technician could come from 2-4 . I said yes. I was already home from work for this appointment - so yes this afternoon is Great! In the afternoon James texted to see if he could come earlier at 1:30. Yes again! When he arrived we talked about the duct work questions we had, then he put down a tarp explained that his ladder was went from all the rain, and the tarp would also keep the floor clean from attic insulation and dust. He went up in the attic and thoroughly checked the ductwork, plus took photos. Then showed them to us when he explained his findings and answered our questions. Turned out the duct work was doing great & we felt much better seeing the pictures and hearing what was going on. We asked about the system fan speeds which he answered and showed us on the system wall control. All at no charge! This exceptional service Absolute Comfort provided is why I am writing this updated review. We are sharing our knowledge and experience that we feel Absolute Comfort Heating and Air is the HVAC business to use. Communication from this team from start to finish was superb. Walked us through the entire process step by step. We had technician Daniel P. and he was on time each time and explained the process very well. The best part was the customer service team. We got updated texts of appointment verifications with the name and picture of the person that was coming so we knew we weren't speaking to a stranger. The customer service is the best! I'm a bit late posting but... I left a voicemail message about my heating/air problem on a Saturday evening not expecting a callback until Monday. Sunday morning, Theresa called me and I was able to get a Monday morning appointment. It turned out to be a breaker issue . My AC unit is over 25 years old but the tech got things back up and running. Long story short, I received three quotes for a new unit and scheduled the install according to what worked for me. We are really happy and like the new unit. Dave runs a really good company and his team did a good job with installation and follow-up. I totally recommend this company. The owner David was quick to ensure someone came out to troubleshoot a heating issue in our home. James came out promptly, and thoroughly investigated the issue. He found an issue with the way the thermostat was configured, AND went into the attic to check the furnace. Turns out the furnace flame was not lit, which James fixed. Accessing the attic is no simple task... I'm impressed with James' willingness to go above and beyond to make sure everything was addressed. He even made sure my carbon monoxide monitors were in place and active before he left. Going into winter with small children and a newborn, I couldn't be more thankful for their thorough, quick, above-and-beyond service, while being very friendly and personable along the way! Our AC went out Sunday of July 4th weekend with 111 degree temperatures. Absolute Comfort was booked solid and wasn't sure they could get to us until Wednesday, but assured us they would try to get to us sooner, if they were in the area. They showed up the same day they were called by our property management, around 3:00 p.m. and fixed it with minimal time or intrusion. Even getting 15-20 calls a day all weekend, with the owner jumping in to take calls, they still managed to work us in early. On Saturday, July 6, 2024 at about 5:45 p.m. after she worked the July 4th holiday, Theresa called me back when I left a voicemail about my malfunctioning air conditioning system. The temperature was about 110 degrees and my family was burning up. Theresa recommended that I switch out the thermostat battery and to clean out the air filters in the house. Then she advised me to check the circuit breakers. Maybe that was obvious. But I didn't think of it. And it solved the problem. And my a/c's been working since. Why did Theresa bother to help me after hours on a Saturday after working so hard that week? I will not forget Theresa's help and kindness. Our A/C went out during a heat wave (111 degrees). We had another local A/C company who we have dealt with on numerous occasions come out and tell us the blower motor went out. Much to our dismay, and discomfort, we were told that it would be three weeks before they could get another blower motor in. Luckily, a friend of ours was familiar with Absolute Comfort and recommended them to us. They were able to get us a blower motor within three days and installed it. The office called us multiple times to let us know the status of finding a motor and, they did not disappoint in finding one. The technician even spent time with us afterwards, answering our questions and helping us understand under what circumstances we should decide to replace the system. Absolute Comfort recently completed the replacement of my HVAC system. My Trane system had failed after 18 years of service and parts needed for repairing it were no longer available. They replaced it with a high quality American Standard HVAC system. Just a couple of days before Thanksgiving, I had lost heat and called them in to repair my Trane system only to find out it could not be fixed. They were able to assemble the new equipment needed and started the replacement work on the Monday following Thanksgiving. The heating system was functional by the end of Monday and work was completed on the cooling system on Tuesday. The personnel were highly competent, courteous and maintained a well ordered workplace. The cleanup was complete. The pricing for this work was commensurate for high quality equipment and highly skilled personnel. read more

They were on time, answered my questions, did a thorough Job, even washed the the condenser coils and removed the leaves. (Something no one else has ever done) they had up to date technology to check all the different components, and sent me the results via text with pictures/records for each test. Three weeks later, I was on Vacation and my neighbor called and the AC system was blowing hor air. I called Absolute and they sent a technician out right away. They checked the unit and determined a circuit breaker had failed due to high temperatures. It was something they could not test in thier checkup earlier. The team at Absolute Comfort installed an American Standard variable speed heat pump this week at my residence. The selection of this unit was made easy with Dave listening to my requests and questions, providing options and thorough information. The knowledge and work ethics of the installation crew was amazing. Working in a small, hot attic space to replace the old gas heater with an air handler was done with lots of muscle and coordination - and without the language I would have been uttering.
