I've hired Jaguar Heating and Air a few times and they've been great. The only thing is that they will not service HVAC systems in the rain. An important aspect to know given each time my heat has gone out it's been raining. I understand the need for technicians to be safe but other HVAC companies will repair/service HVAC systems in bad weather. I recently waited two days to get an appointment just to have them cancel on me the day of the appointment due to on/off rain and they wanted to reschedule to gone out six days later. Instead, I was able to find another company to service my HVAC the same day. read more

We had our HVAC replaced by Jaguar and they were a fantastic company to work with. I had multiple bids on the project and Jaguar was the obvious choice. We have an addition that creates some heating/cooling challenges and both Montie and Mark recognized the issue, had immediate solutions and answered a ton of questions I had. The entire process was seamless. They showed up when they said they would, took great care to protect my home as equipment was brought in and out and took the time to explain everything they were installing. Both of the other bids I had wanted me to upgrade my electrical panel for the new system whereas Jaguar had a system solution that didn't require a panel upgrade. Not only did they come across with the lowest priced bid, they saved me a lot of time and money not having to change the panel. Our new system works great and we are very pleased. I just got a new package system to replace my 17 year old one. The bid process and installation went smoothly. There was a minor issue with the thermostat that I found the first night and they were out the next day to take care of it. Noticed the heater stopped working so I did a quick yelp search and found a rare company with 400+ reviews and 5 stars (across all sac locations). I also requested the soonest appointment from 2 other highly rated companies and to my surprise jagaur was able to do same day and they also responded the soonest. Thomas came within the 2 hour window and identified the problem within 30 mins and replaced the broken ignitor within an additional hour. Thomas was efficient and friendly. Did a quick search on the typical cost of the repair and the pricing was fair and not overpriced. Would recommend this company for your appliance repair needs. read more

Jaguar Heating & Air is the best! We have been clients since 2021 and are always satisfied with the quality of their work, their professionalism, and their honesty. The office staff is wonderful and responsive, too! Jaguar Technicians have performed regular Spring & Fall maintenance checks and in so doing have caught and corrected several errors made by the company that originally installed our replacement HVAC system in 2015. We recently called after hours when our heater mysteriously would not come on after a major storm. They responded to our call first thing the next morning and were ready to send a Technician out the same day. When Jaguar Technician Johnathan arrived, he quickly determined what the heater issue was and did a great job of explaining it to us. No repair was necessary. While he was here, Johnathan also investigated a second problem for us. We had noticed that over that past several months the blower filter was becoming extremely dirty very quickly-- in less than a month's time. After scoping our ducts and determining that they were very clean, he noticed that our older home has two return registers in the living room floor and another one in the hallway. A quick scoping of the return ducts showed a large amount of built up dust! Within a week Jaguar sent out their Technician, Ryan -- for a very reasonable price I must say -- to clean the return register ducts. He did a fantastic job! From start to finish, Ryan asked good questions and was very professional, knowledgeable and conscientious. Additionally, everything was perfectly cleaned up when the job was complete. Every single Jaguar Technician we have had do work on our HVAC system has been, without exception, excellent. Additionally, communication about appointments, arrival times, billing etc. is very good. Simply said, this is a well-run company that cares about the quality of their work and the customers they serve. read more

We had the pleasure of meeting Install Manager, Dwayne today. After learning that we were frustrated with an issue getting a service call resolved, he drove from Elk Grove to Carmichael to give a 2nd opinion on a recommendation and make sure our clogged drip line was completely open, all within 2 hours of learning of the issue. Dwayne is very knowledgeable and obviously takes pride in doing a job correctly. We appreciate him coming out so quickly and ensuring everything was resolved before he left. We had a great experience with Jaguar replacing our existing HVAC unit with a new heat pump. Jaguar performed an initial inspection of the existing unit and did suggest repairs, but the unit was old & those repairs were extensive so we decided to replace. Jaguar included everything in a very competitive quote (including some duct repair and electrical upgrade required for the heat pump). Everyone at Jaguar was professional and responsive through the entire process. We are looking forward to next winter & saving on the gas bill :) read more

Our furnace stopped heating overnight and as I looked for a well reviewed local company, Jaguar was at the top of the list. Making an appointment was quick, easy, and they arrived on time. There was a $79 diagnostic fee that I didn't realize at first but they informed me before confirming the appointment. It seems most companies have a similar fee. The tech quickly inspected the furnace and found the control board was bad and needed replacement. The diagnostic fee does go towards the repair, however I ultimately did not go through with the repair as it was $975 to replace the board and the board itself is ~$150. With other companies quoting between $450-$875, Jaguar was the highest quote for the repair. read more

Our AC unit has been having issues now that it's in the middle of summer and won't turn on at times when it's hot out. We recently had our AC go out during a very hot week (and being home a with a toddler and newborn). Let me preface by saying this is only my 2nd review on Yelp, but I feel obligated to write a review for a local business that did a superb job. My a/c unit broke down on a Saturday in August, on Sunday I try to contact someone to get it fixed. Since it's mid-summer, I am pretty much resigned to reaching out to many different companies which will respond to me the next day (if I am lucky) and tell me they are booked for the next few weeks. I message Jaguar Heating and Air on Yelp and THEY RESPOND WITHIN HALF AN HOUR ON A SUNDAY NIGHT. Bam, I've got an appointment the next day with them. On Monday afternoon their technician Vincent actually shows up at the appointed time (okay, I have low expectations but what do you expect when you are the last service call of the day in middle of summer). Vincent quickly diagnoses the problem and contacts the warehouse for parts. The warehouse needs to order the part and it will take up to 10 working days to get it. At this point I am expecting Vincent to say "see you in 2 weeks" and move on to the next customer in what must be a very long queue. But instead he calls HQ for advice and they suggest hitting local distributors for after market parts. Vincent departs saying he will let us know the next day if he can find the required part to fix my a/c. The next day (i.e. Tuesday) comes, and Vincent calls me back promptly in the morning and says he located the part and can complete the fix the same afternoon. Again I am impressed because he actually shows up at the appointed time (yeah, I've got low expectations again). He fixes my unit so it's back in action, I expect him to rush off to his next job, but instead he stares thoughtfully at my a/c unit. Vincent says something is not quite right, I say it's always been excessively noisy, and he calls HQ for consultation. They determine my motor is overamped, he will come back to replace the motor but at least my a/c is working and back to the way it was. This review is getting overlong, suffice it to say that Vincent fixed the motor so MY A/C WORKS BETTER THAN IT DID BEFORE, with the motor replaced it is much quieter and it wasn't even related to the breakdown I called them to fix. My AC unit broke down. Justifiably, I was saddened, and wanted to get it fixed as soon as possible. I called the first company on the list, who was not Jaguar, and got a machine. As it was after hours, I wasn't too surprised, and I hung up. What did surprise me was a human being picked up when I called Jaguar. The office person was courteous and quick working to get me set yp with an appointment the next day. As I have been burned on appointments before, I called again at the appointment time, and she knew who I was and told me the te H was incoming... And it was he who called me as soon s I hung up from calling. The tech sweeped in and was incredibly courteous and helpful. He fixed my problem quickly and was in and out in less than an hour. This company has been totally amazing! During the summer back in August my a/c broke and Jesse came out and told me almost immediately what was going on with it. I was quoted a reasonable price for the services that we were needing to fix. Then just a few days ago my furnace stopped working as soon as it started getting to the cold fall days. So I called Jaguar up and they sent Jesse out again. He was able to fix the issue we were having that night! They were not under my house for 3 days, it took a day and a half. You are lying. They should have told me to remember my air conditioning would be off for days and to wait until October to have the job done. Don't lie, your tech told me working under the house was much easier than working in very hot attics. He told me all about the 150 degree attics they have to work in. I paid for a maintenance contract. Don't lie that you have no responsibility to check the freon and give me a new filter. I am cancelling my maintenance contract because you are lying. read more

This company has the best customer service from the office staff to the service techs and they are a very knowledgeable team. I purchased a house in June and the dual zone system never worked right. After calling 2 other companies Jaguar Heating & Air was the only one that could figure out what to do to make it work. These guys showed up on time and the owner did not leave until everything was working correctly, he was also very fair on the pricing and really shows he cares that his customers are happy . A company is only as good as their front line service people and if all their employees are like "Aldrin" then they have a customer for life. About 2 months ago, I had contacted Jaguar Heating & Air for an A/C tune up before the main heat of summer was going to arrive. The lady answering the phone was very nice and helpful with scheduling the appointment. Ken was the technician that came out to give my A/C a tune-up. He arrived on-time and was very friendly. He was very thorough with the inspection of my A/C unit as well as went into my attic to check my furnace to make sure everything looked good. About 2 days ago (8/11/19), we felt out A/C not working very well and confirmed it the next day that the A/C was not cooling down the house. I contacted Jaguar today (8/13/19) to schedule an appointment to have a technician come out to diagnose the possible issue. I was thinking that the scheduled date would have been a few days later; however, I was informed that a technician was in the area today and had an opening between 3-5pm which of course I took right away. Jesse, the technician, had called me around 2pm that he had completed his earlier appointment and would be free to come by earlier which I appreciated but had to decline as I wasn't home yet. Jesse showed up on time at 3pm and was very friendly. He explained that he first wanted to turn on the system to see what the issue might be. Walking towards the A/C unit, he stated that he didn't hear the compressor running and said there could be a few things that could be the issues. He explained the 3 different options I had in regards to possibly fixing the A/C unit and get it running again. As he started take apart the A/C unit, he showed me the voltage readings and explained what the numbers meant which I appreciated. He explained each step in terms of trying to fix the issue. If step 1 didn't work then he would need to move to step 2 to try and get the A/C unit running again and if nether option 1 or 2 fixed the issue then it would have been the compressor that would need to be fixed. However, after diagnosing the issue, he was able to fix the issue with option 1 which was replacing the capacitor and it got the A/C unit and compressor running again. After getting the unit running again he then gave me a suggestion and option if I wanted to add on. He had suggested adding on an assist unit to help take the load off the capacitor and compressor. He explained what it did and why he had suggested it but did not try to push or be forceful with adding the assist unit. After he had explained it in an understandable way, I wanted to add the assist unit to help take the load off the capacitor and compressor. After everything was installed and he confirmed everything was running properly, he went into the house to make sure that the A/C unit was cooling down the house, which it was. After confirming everything was good to go, he suggested that if I have any questions later on to feel free and give him a call or text. He answered all the questions I had and was very friendly. I would definitely recommend Jaguar Heating & Air if you're ever looking for a company to give you a tune-up or even repair work. I know I'll be using them for any future repairs or tune-ups! read more

Montie came on time and did an assessment of my system and ducts. My ducts were completely damaged and funneling air to my attic, which is why I was getting low air pressure. He gave me a reasonable quote to fix it and didn't try and sell me on things that I didn't need. This is the kind of service I will use in the future. Honest and upfront unlike a lot of places that I called which tried to sell me on thousands of dollars for replacements that I just did not need at this time. Customer service is outstanding. My AC went out and they were able to squeeze me in for a same day appointment. The service rep (Jesse) showed up on time a and was very professional. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly, although he did not have the part in stock- he told me what I needed and where the part goes. He told me he would return later that day and finish the job and gave me his cell phone number to contact direct. I found the part at a nearby appliance store and installed prior to Jesse returning- but I was able to text him and advise, he answered a few questions I had about the installation. At the end of the night, Jesse followed up with a text message making sure my family and I were comfortable with our AC and that everything was working fine.
