Our AC decided to call it quits a few days ago. It isn't a super old unit, so we assumed it wouldn't be a big deal to repair. We called a few places that we had used in the past, but they couldn't come out for several days. A friend of mine recommended Good Guys, so we reached out to them. Thankfully, they were able to come out the next day! Jason was our service technician. He was prompt and polite. He quickly found the problem and got to work making the necessary repairs. He was knowledgeable and explained everything to us. Within an hour our unit was up and running again! We will definitely be using Good Guys whenever we need any heating and air repairs. read more

Mr. Jason Lee, a technician, came to my house for a winter tune-up for heating and HVAC. He arrived exactly on time, which I appreciated, and conducted himself in a very professional manner throughout the entire visit. Not only did he complete the maintenance efficiently, but he also took the time to explain the process to me in detail, answering all of my questions with patience and expertise. He provided valuable tips on how to maintain my system, which I found extremely helpful. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed by his knowledge and dedication to customer service. I highly recommend Mr. Lee and his company to anyone in need of reliable HVAC services. read more

Mike did a great job explaining everything thank you so much!!! He came early and thoroughly went through everything

Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable. Mike explained how the system works, especially with the remote. Good job!

Jason did a great job explaining our options and was very thorough in his tasks. I would contact them again for service.

Good Guys was great from start to finish. Booking was quick and easy. Tim was wonderful, he was very thorough and informative. He got our AC back up and running. We ended up going with a maintenance plan. We look forward to having them maintain our units in the future. read more

The guys did such an amazing job on the ac unit and whole house fan. I got tons of quotes and I liked the price and availability

We have had multiple great experiences with Good Guys Heating & Air. They are professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and make the entire process easy from start to finish. It's so refreshing to work with a company that shows up when they say they will, communicate clearly, and genuinely care about taking care of their customers. They take the time to explain everything, answer your questions, and make sure the job was done right, not just done quickly. Great service, great people, and a company you can feel confident recommending to friends and family. If you're looking for an honest, reliable heating and air company that provides excellent customer service, Good Guys Heating & Air absolutely lives up to their name! read more

I don't usually leave reviews like this, but I think it's important to share my experience so others can make informed decisions. What started as a straightforward job based on a phone conversation ended up being very different once work began. Their son, Butch, handled the visit, and the pricing came in significantly higher than what was originally discussed. I wasn't onsite at the time since I'm actively flipping homes, so I had to rely on communication from their side, which in hindsight wasn't ideal. The bigger issue for me was the service contract. We were sold on follow up service that was supposed to be included, but it was never honored. I followed up consistently over the course of more than a year with texts and calls and was repeatedly given different reasons for delays. At a certain point, it just became a cycle of excuses with no resolution. By the time anything could have been addressed, the service plan had effectively expired, which made the whole thing feel meaningless. I understand that personal situations come up, and I was told about accidents and hardships. I respect that. But from a business standpoint, communication and accountability still matter. There was no clear timeline, no follow through, and no effort to make it right. To be fair, I've heard good things about the company overall, but my experience did not reflect that. I ended up using Clark & Rush instead and had a much smoother experience with clear pricing and timely service. My advice is simple. Get everything in writing, confirm pricing before work begins, and make sure expectations around any service contract are clearly defined. If you're not onsite, stay closely involved. I do have records of communication with dates and timestamps if needed for verification. Based on my experience, I can't confidently recommend them at this time. read more

These guys were awesome. Butch and Randy helped get the process started for me to get a new HVAC system (heat pump inverter). They were professional and thorough and it was obvious they were very experienced. They had very competitive pricing as well. Joe and Justin were the installers and they were respectful and did a great job. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for service or new install. The only constructive criticism I would give is that they left the workspace in our upstairs bathroom a bit messy but overall a fantastic experience with good guys. 10/10 read more

We've been consistently using The Good Guys for the last couple of years, and it's been great being on the annual maintenance plan. Our regular technician, Mike Runge, is top tier --he's always professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. When our AC went out during this brutal heat, they were able to come out the very same day. Mike quickly diagnosed the problem, explained everything clearly, and gave us a fair, honest price to get it fixed. We really appreciate the fast response, professionalism, and quality service. If you're looking for someone reliable who won't overcharge you, I highly recommend them. Thanks for getting our AC back up and running--we're so grateful! read more

I would definitely recommend Good Guys and will be using them again for any future HVAC needs! read more

TL;DR: They're amazing and you should use them! This was our second time using Good Guys and both times have been amazing! We called yesterday morning when we noticed our AC was not kicking on and they were able to get a tech out today! Butch arrived on time and was friendly as could be. He wasted no time jumping in and trying to diagnose the problem. He went through everything he could think of, figured it out, and advised us of best solutions. We never felt pressured or unsure of the decisions we were making. He also pointed out things to keep an eye on, as they appeared to be going bad or outdated, but again, never once did he push for us to buy or do anything now. He was also honest with us about replacing the unit altogether (yes, you're thinking he wants us to spend the money and they make it), but the unit is 32 years old with a life expectancy of 20, soo he's not wrong. Beyond suggesting a new unit he priced out different components that we could replace, as we wanted to, in order to squeeze as much life out as we could. We were already considering replacing, so he helped us set up a no obligation consultation later this week. And honestly, if not for the service and respect we've been shown, we'd consider shopping around more, but this family owned company has earned our business and trust for years to come! If you need service or repairs, do not hesitate to reach out and use Good Guys, because they truly are: Good Guys! read more

I want to begin by saying that my past experiences with your company have been excellent. I purchased a full AC system from you and had it installed, and the service was great. Later, when I needed an additional unit for another part of the house, the interaction was just as positive. I've also had your team out for routine service about a year before this recent issue, and everything was handled well. Unfortunately, the most recent visit was the complete opposite of what I've come to expect. The technician who came out was extremely rude and disrespectful from the moment he arrived. The compressor failure we were dealing with was likely caused by a PG&E power outage, and the compressor was still under warranty. Despite that, I was quoted $7,200 to fix the two systems. Because the quote seemed unusually high, I contacted another licensed organization. They completed all the necessary repairs around a third of the cost, and both systems are now working perfectly. This experience made something very clear: one employee's behavior and pricing practices can undo years of trust. Based on this interaction alone, I no longer feel comfortable using Good Guys. read more

Our HVAC system went down a couple of weeks ago, and initially we thought that the blower motor was the culprit, and Jason and Joe ordered a replacement that came in a few days later, only to find out that a computer board had also failed. (Which came first, the chicken or the egg?) Bottom line: the old HVAC unit was too costly to repair. Ultimately, Jim, the owner, came out to assess the situation and got a new unit ordered for a great price. Chris and Joe, the technicians, spent the afternoon installing a brand new unit, and it works GREAT! Thanks to the entire team at Good Guys for ensuring a warm holiday season! read more

The technician charged $450 for a part Home Depot sells for $22. A 2,000% markup seems excessive.

Jason Lee has performed our maintenance service for us twice now and is always prompt, professional, and helpful in his explanations! Very thorough job and after having our system for two years, we are still very happy with our choice to go with good guys. We are going to explore ductwork options with them now, which was great to not be pressured to do all our work at once. I can't recommend them enough. Everyone that we've encountered has been friendly and provided great customer service, including Jessica and Crystal when we make calls to them. Our calls are always returned in a timely manner as well. read more

Mike R. with Good Guys arrived on time this morning to give us a complete HVAC inspection. He conducted an attic, furnace water heater and AC inspection and even installed a new filter for us. After his inspections he reviewed typical recommendations with us without any pressure. Mike is highly professional and a very personable guy! We are grateful and have peace of mind knowing our water heater, furnace and AC are all in tip top shape! We highly recommend Mike R and The Good Guys Heating and Cooling Company! read more

Dodged a bullet with this company. Set up an appointment for them to come to my house for Whole House Fan Repair. They quoted me a $99 service fee to check on it. They asked what type of fan, they asked if there was a warranty on it. The girl I spoke to sounded very knowledgeable. Couple days later got a message that they do not do that kind of repair and cancelled the appointment. Called Mr. electric of Roseville and they are coming out instead with no charge. read more

Our service technician Jason Lee was outstanding. Professional, polite , approachable and explained everything he was doing perfectly. Good Guys saved the day! Our bathroom ceiling was suddenly caving in due to a leak from the air conditioner we suspected. I called Good Guys after hours and Butch was at our house within an hour and a half to take a look and figured out exactly what was going on. Our heating and air unit was old and they discovered what was causing the leak and found fire hazards we had no idea was happening! We have had our heating and air unit inspected and serviced several times and previous service people never found these issues that good guys discovered. It's a good thing We found good guys, because the next Emergency would have been a fire, And they showed us pictures where some insulation Had already burned in the past. Then they came back first thing in the morning with a new Heating/AC unit and got to work! They used a big crane to get the unit up and the old unit down... pretty impressive! New units and installation are not cheap for heating and air of course, so they were kind enough to help us process the loan we needed also. It was quick and easy. We are very happy with Good Guys Work and professionalism, and grateful for their help. Our new AC is working great, so far so good! read more

I called them out because my air conditioner was making a noise and blowing hot air, they charged me $650 and did not fix the problem. It worked for about three hours and was back to doing the same thing. They made me wait a day before they came back out to check their work they did and this time. tried to charge me $6500 or offered me a new air conditioner for $10,000 and kept pushing the new air conditioner on me telling me it would only be $150 a month then I could sell the payment if I sold my house and then have the audacity to charge me another service call I said why would you charge me again and he said to me well we can't catch everything the first time I felt completely ripped off. I felt like they planned this and are trying to just get me to buy a new air conditioner and I want to write this review so that elderly people are not taking advantage of because I truly feel like they would take advantage of an elderly person they would fall for their bull crap worst service I've ever had would not recommend them would never use them again. They also signed me up for a program where if they had to come back out, it would be a cheaper service. I told that I would never call them back out, so why would I keep that. asked him if he was going to refund me the $180 for that so-called contract because I would never use them again and he told me no so I will be opening a complaint to the Better Business Bureau on this company because I truly feel like they are just trying to rip people off and sell brand new air conditioners to people that don't need them. I called another service company out. My Freon was low. All they had to do is put Freon in it like I had suggested in the beginning read more

Terrible. Signed up for the maintenance plan and won't be renewing. They we're supposed to clean my coils and I could have done a better job with a garden hose. Came to our same day that we called! Knew the problem right away and had cool air within the hour!

We've purchased two HVAC systems from Good Guys and every experience we've had with their team members has been very positive. Last week we had our units serviced for the fall switch over. Jacob was our tech and he was prompt, careful and very friendly. He determined that we needed new return air grates so he called his office and arranged for replacements. Jake was great and even vacuumed our carpet before he left. 1of 2 2 of 2: Today, one week later, Lucas came for the follow-up appointment to replace our two 12' ceiling fresh air return vent grates. He was on time, very attentive and very careful transporting his large ladder through the house. He replaced both grates in about 45 minutes, include wiping down the grates and feathering touch up paint around the grates. He made our chore of replacing furnace filters much easier & safer. His work was terrific and the Good Guys team has made us a customer for life. Thank you for great work. read more

I'm very happy I chose Good Guys to take care of my HVAC issues. Decades of deferred maintenance resulted in no A/C, a faulty heater, and decaying ineffective ductwork. I contacted Good Guys and within a week the issues were all resolved. Randy provided the inspection and estimates on a Tuesday. On the following Tuesday, (after Thanksgiving), Chris, Clinton, Dillon, Mike... and a few more... showed up promptly at 8am. (They were actually early but politely waited in their caravan of trucks until the stroke of 8.) By 4pm they had completed all of the work, plus some extra related items they noticed they could help with. There were two crews working at the same time. One crew was removing the old HVAC, rebuilding the platform, rewiring and installing a new larger and more efficient system. The other crew was removing the old duct work and decayed insulation and then reinstalling new duct work while also rerouting it to improve efficiency. The owner, Bill, stopped by early to check that the teams were executing the plan without issues and we chatted for a bit. Then he was off to the next job site to provide the same quality service. Before the they left, they cleaned to jobsite inside, outside, and under the house. Chris also showed me how to use my new thermostat which I can now control remotely with my iPhone. The quote for the work was in line with other quotes I received, by slightly lower. When you consider the Service, Speed, Quality, and Pricing for the scope of work they performed, you'll realize these really are The Good Guys. (Just without the capes.) read more

Words can't express how amazing this company is. Not only are they on time, they Text message telling you when en route with a friendly experience every time. Good Guys Heating & Cooling - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Shingle Springs, California

Absolutely fantastic experience with Good Guys Heating & Cooling. From Randy the Project Manager coming out initially to give us a quote to the four days of brand new duct work, insulation, two new HVAC systems (& more) at our home.. this huge job for our home in Folsom was handled with care & professionalism from the start. The team that was within our home was incredibly hard-working, respectful, & friendly -- every single one (can't remember every single name, but literally a wonderful experience with each). Butch, the owner's son, stopped by several days in a row as well to check in updating us on progress & any follow-up that might be needed post installation. Aaron & Clinton were the last guys on the job on our final day and even stayed beyond their regular hours (after super long days in a row I might add) cleaning behind them & making sure everything was perfect. We would highly recommend this family-owned business to anyone. Our job happened to be quite a big one & not only was it fairly priced, but the amount of care & detail that went into it from start to finish made us feel a lot better about how much we were spending. HIGHLY recommend this business. You can tell they are a close knit group & must not only work for a really good family, but as a team have a very close bond. Thank you Good Guys Heating & Cooling -- We will without a doubt be keeping the recommendations coming! read more

We highly recommend Good Guys Heating & Cooling! They came out quickly to give us a quote to extend our gas line and even started the next day! We had Khit and Kev work on our home, they were very kind, professional, clean, and had great communication. They ran into a problem that needed them to cut into our drywall. They spoke to us first before doing so, and told us they were unable to fix it. Being a new homeowner and needing the hole fixed quickly, Khit, went out of his way to come back to fix the hole for us! Once we got our new oven/stove hooked up it worked perfectly without any gas leaks. Both guys checked to ensure no leaks prior to finishing for the day. We appreciate both of them and high recommend Good Guys Heating & Cooling for any job! read more
