It's been hot, and my AC wasn't cooling enough, so I scheduled an appointment with All Power Services. To get it scheduled, I had to call them almost 10 times. Each time, a different employee answered the phone, which meant I had to explain everything over and over again. However, no one showed up on the scheduled day. My tenant called them to find out what happened and was told that our appointment wasn't even on their schedule. (Am I a liar?) But when I called to check about the no-show, the employee who answered said the technician's phone was dead. HAHA! If they had scheduled it correctly, the technician should have knocked on my door, regardless of whether his phone was dead. By the way, the All Power Service van was parked right in front of the condo building where my unit is. Lesson learned: when you schedule with them, make sure the technician's phone is fully charged. read more

Their sub-contractor Tim, who is an unlicensed contractor, showed up and was very negligent. He put his metal case on new marble countertops and when I asked him to place it elsewhere, he began to argue with me. Then he asked to use a bathroom, said he had been driving a long ways. When I said there was no toilet paper, he said he carried around baby wipes and could use those. He spent three hours and at the end, said that his report would be written up by another general contractor based on his notes. The report that I did receive had ZERO pictures, identified ZERO problems (he said it wasn't his job, he wasn't equipped) and provided little insight into what repairs actually needed to take place. For instance, he recommended that we upgrade to Nest thermostats. The A/C wasn't working, this will NOT address that issue. Then he said that h verbally told me they were not cooling without taking a picture of the difference in temperature on the thermostat. Am I supposed to verbally tell the Sellers that and they should accept my word? As for electric panels and wiring, he provided no pictures even though he took off the covers to inspect them and the house was built in 1923. I e-mailed Tim who provided what looked like an amateur list of control panels (manufacturers and dates) along with their function but not what needed to be repaired. Many outlets were missing covers including outlets that are on the exterior with no shelter. He mentions this but providers no specifics and no evidence. $510 later I do not have an inspection report to provide to the listing agent on behalf of my clients. I called to address this problem with the front office who assured me that in 35 years of business they have never had a complaint. read more

We recently hired Rob Tardi (the owner) to handle installing a brand new central HVAC system into our century-old house with Nest integration and zoning. This included removing old A/C and heater units from the walls. Rob was personally involved in the installation. My interaction with him from the start was very professional; he was transparent regarding what was and wasn't covered under his estimate and his contract was very detailed. We had another HVAC company come out when our AC stopped working properly. After a brief diagnostic (and a call to the office) the technician said we needed to replace equipment to the tune of $9000. I called All Power and Rob came out the next day. After a painstaking and thorough diagnostic process, he was able to locate the problems--an insulation panel had come unglued preventing the airflow from properly reaching the coil and lack of timely furnace filter replacement (that one is on me). Needless to say, the final cost for the service was far less than the $9000 I was quoted by the other service. We used Rob and All Power for an electrical panel upgrade last year. In both cases he was conscientious, diligent, and professional--the quality of the work was top notch and the cost was much less than we had been quoted by other firms. From now on, Rob at All Power will be my first (and only) call. read more

This review specifically reflects the Electrician (Tim) they sent out to us. We needed a fast turnaround and All Power accommodated us which was good. They sent out an electrician (Tim) to look at our HVAC and electric panels. Tim arrived an hour late. After introductions, he entered the house walked into the kitchen and started to undo the belt on his pants. Creepy, I know. My Fiancee offered him the use of the bathroom, but he ignored her as he slipped a meter holster onto his belt and then put it back on. He looked at the HVAC and panels. I shadowed him asking questions. He told me that because I was asking questions, he would not be able to take notes. I asked him if that would be a problem, he said no. For some reason I let myself believe him. The Zinsco electric panel we need replaced was in the kitchen. When he looked at it and removed the cover he noted issues with it and stated that it needed to be replaced. When re-attaching the cover he decided to add some screws to secure it better, so he found wood screws and drilled them into metal stripping it completely. It is now impossible to remove without cutting into the wall. He looked at an outlet near the sink and noted that it needed to be GFCI. Then when re-attaching, he cracked it. He noted numerous issues regarding grounding and other GFCI circuits. I asked about fixing the Mastik on the roof, as well as replacing some circuits on the main panel for safety. He agreed. I told him that we didn't want to replace the panel, he agreed. When he delivered his report (an hour before my deadline) he didn't include about 75% of what we talked about. Furthermore, he gave an estimate for replacing the back panel which we specifically stated we did NOT want to do. As this inspection was part of our contingencies for a home purchase, his poor demeanor, lack of professionalism and horrendous listening skills were reflected in his report making it barely useful. Even our realtor and her firm were upset about how this all happened. If this is reflective of how other employees at All Power are, they should be seen as highly rated and one could assume that they are only so because of gaming Yelp. Best Aaron read more

The "inspector" Tim was 1/2 an hour late and gave me a lame excuse as to why. He arrived at 11:00 obviously just out of the shower. He didn't wait to be invited into my home. He was abrupt, bordering on rude. Communication skills were horrific. The appointment was to specifically look under my house at the duct work... Tim arrived having to use a cane! I gave him the benefit of the doubt because, why would a company send someone out to look under my house if he wasn't able to do so. When I showed him where the crawl space is, he balked and said that he would be able to stick his head in and maybe take some photos because, you know, he's not able to! What was the point then! I then told him no thanks, thank you for coming. His response was "maybe we can send someone else out that isn't disabled." I then called the office to see if maybe they could send someone else as I need this work done. Marilyn was apologetic in regards to the poor service, but in the end ended up giving excuses as to why it can't be done. read more

I work in a huge building with a limited amount of windows - none of which you can crack open. One day, the AC went out. Needless to say we were all melting. Rob from All Power Services came out got on the roof and fixed the system. Hooray!! I am grateful and the 70 (+) staff is grateful as well. Rob Tardi came out to the business I work at in Los Angeles. We were having trouble with our air conditioner and it was hotter than heck. We were all sweltering in the office. I called All Power Services. We were quickly booked an appointment by Marilyn at the front desk (who's a doll) and Rob came out to save the day. He worked fast, thoroughly, and professionally. He completely repaired the A/C and put in a new, easy to use thermostat. He showed me and my co-worker's how to operate it and answered any questions we had. The A/C has been working perfectly ever since and we've been nicely cooled off during the hot days and comfortably warmed up during the cold days. His pricing is EXTREMELY reasonable and he is hands down the best A/C/heating/HVAC/General Contractor guy around. I wouldn't call anyone else to assist my workplace. Also, if I ever need anything on my personal residence I will definitely be calling him. Highly recommend. Don't pay attention to those few 1 star reviews. We had all power services do an inspection on our house when we bought it. Their service was fine. We chose to use them to address some of the problems identified (faulty sub panels). We had numerous issues. To start, Rob does not do the electrical work. He subcontracts it to other electricians, but does not seem to communicate well with them. Instead of a relatively straightforward update of the sub panels, we ended up with a multi-day project, holes in the exterior of the house (with rain on the way!!) and had loose ends that weren't tied up for 2 weeks after the project. I had the work inspected by other reputable electricians and it seems to be safe, etc. Rob never gave us a heads up about the scope of the project, never asked before knocking holes in our walls, and seemed incredulous that I would have wanted advance notice to set up a contractor to repair the work etc. We were left scrambling and adding significant cost to the project. I also told Rob that I wanted to be there for all work and they sent the electrician out to finish some work without my consent or advance notice. Yelp and Angie's List are filled with people with great ratings. Don't waste your time with All Power Services and save yourself some headaches. read more

We had our AC hooked up by a different company before we found Rob. Rob came to hook up our heater, but was also able to point out several safety things the other guys did wrong. He was able to type them up so that we could have the other guys fix them. Rob is very very knowledgeable, timely, professional and does high quality work. Given that at one point, we had a large ranch with multiple electrical and AC issues--all of which he addressed quickly and well--we've had to deal with more complex issues than many people. The work that he did to get our large koi pond working again and the recent work on our townhome were, as usual, excellent! I have done surveys for his office manager on all recent jobs and have recommended him to others, without hesitation. Back in Sept 2014 I had reached out to Rob Tardy with All Power to service my HVAC unit. My appointment time was moved FIVE Times that week and he blew me off after waiting a full day for him during one of those FIVE times. I had to make multiple calls following up. Finally, I gave up and used someone else. Now, I gave him the benefit of the doubt back then assuming that maybe this company had lack of technicians or Rob Tardy who was supposed to be the technician had personal issues going on so I let it go. Then, this past Sunday on 11/23 I called All Power again to try to schedule a new repair that I needed. I got the answering service. I left my contact info. I called twice that day hoping to get a return call because I was looking to schedule it for today, Tuesday 11/25. I never got it. On Monday at 8:30 AM I was provided the cell number of this Rob Tardy again. I called and left a voicemail. At 4:30 PM I called and left a VM again. It's now the next day and STILL NO RETURN CALL!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! Instead, yesterday at 5:00 pm I got a hold of Jacob with Air-Al Inc. He scheduled the appointment for today and all is well. Yep, my AC went down on the hottest day ever recorded in Burbank. The contractor that American Home Shield dispatched could not get here for several days. So I called ten AC companies, mostly all referrals off of nextdoor.com. I had mixed results with attempting to leave messages, etc. I am so happy to tell you first off that Marilyn in Rob's office was an absolute delight. Rob arrived on time today (one day after I called) and was the epitome of professionalism and so very pleasant. He got me up and running quickly, answered all of my questions, explained everything thoroughly and charged me a very fair price. Can't say enough good things about All Power Services. UPDATE - JULY 3 The AC went out again yesterday so I called Rob. He offered to come today - on a Sunday - during a three day weekend. He arrived early, as polite and professional as before and found a broken switch that needed to be replaced. He fixed it quickly and charged me an extremely fair price.
