On our way home from CA, we stopped in again, for the delicious food, the comfortable and western decor, and to see our favorite server, Jose Velasquez! And he was here! He was so very attentive. He made sure our drinks were filled, and our food was served hot. Jose has a very charming disposition. He spoke to us to very intelligently, contributed to our conversation, and was a joy to visit with! A very kind young man. We will be back. I was able to get her attention and asked how much longer for our food and she said we are just waiting on the fries. We had 2 orders of fries the tables she had just served before us had 6 between the two. We ordered before both of them. When we asked for a box, she asked if we wanted the ticket split we immediately said no altogether is fine. She brought the ticket and when she handed it to me I was looking how much mine cost so I could get cash out and she snapped at me "did I mess up this ticket too?" We were so uncomfortable my sister quickly handed her card and we left. We looked for a manager but they were on the phone and we wanted out of there. Her name was something like Denae or Denise. She had an opportunity to start fresh with us today and earn a really good tip but because of how badly we were treated we left exactly 15%. When the food did come, it was delicious. My grilled cheese was served on two thiccc slices of bread with melty american cheese. I would have preferred if the bread was toasted even a little bit. The sandwich was served with ridged chips. Regarding the fried steak sandwich, GF reports "it was heavy but tasty, not what I usually eat". She received tots on the side which were the crispiest tots I have ever had. I don't have words for the fried biscuit. It was out of this world. I can't do it justice by describing it. It was ORGASMIC. I'm glad I probably won't have the opportunity to eat this again because that shit is DANGEROUS. Food was very solid, service excellent, wait was a challenge.
