If I could give less than 1 star I would. I should have paid attention to the critical reviews. I wanted a single customer cabinet for my MBR closet. My experience followed a familiar pattern: THey started out great - returned calls promptly and showed up to measure. Got the cabinet frame installed within 3W as promised (though the paint job was subpar and they had to take it back to the shop to repaint). So far so good. But of course, I also needed cabinet door and drawers. He never could commit to getting them - always one excuse after another. Travel, shop problems, etc. etc. After many weeks of this, I gave up and found a different cabinet contractor to make the drawers and doors. So I had to spend extra - not happy about this. But at least I didn't have to deal with their lies and deceit anymore. That alone is very valuable. I value and respect someone who delivers results and is trustworthy. They are neither. The GC's cabinet shop of choice was All Perfect Finish. When Emile came for a site inspection, he recognized the existing cabinets in my kitchen, and said that he had worked on them about 13 years ago. So he was very comfortable in building a much larger, single cabinet to match the others in my kitchen in style, color, and quality. The cabinet was completed in a timely manner, and ready for installation at the end of my remodel when the painters had finished. I was in the market of painting my kitchen cabinets and had received two previous bids. Finding someone to finish pieces of wood was more of a challenge than I expected. I had contacted Emil to inquire about scope of the project I had, which was finishing some African Mahogany. Within minutes Emil responded to my inquiry, and set up a site visit that day, around 530pm when I was able to make it home. I appreciated the fact that he sat in traffic to make our meeting and was right on time. He assessed the wood and asked for a scrap piece to stain and finish based on the look I was going for. Three days later he came by the house and dropped off sample piece of wood for me to look over. Days later I received an estimate, and soon after he arranged to come pick up the wood. Just over a week later I received a call and all 32 pieces were finished beautifully, delivered packaged and protected, and looked brilliant. On top of that he brought me some extra stain, numbered the bottles, and walked me through the process of staining in the event I needed touch up or additional pieces. Wanting to keep the wood tones but lighten up the cabinets and feel in my kitchen, Emil helped me visualize and spent time creating multiple samples for me to take back to view in the unit until i found the shade that felt just right. We had a couple hiccups along the way, as you typically would with these kinds of projects, but for the most part Emil was responsive and timely. He went above and beyond finishing a couple pieces within the kitchen that were out of scope but really helped to bring whole space together. I had a very bad experience with All Perfect Finish and can not recommend them to anyone. They are very unprofessional and work quality is very poor. As everyone has mentioned, they are very bad with communication. Many times they had me wait at home for them but they never showed up and no call or text was made telling me so. I was lied to multiple times about dates and products being ordered but in the end they were never ordered. They also left my cabinet doors crooked and one was even measured incorrectly. They refuse to come back to finish the work. I had to get another contractor to to come to do the rest. He will screen your phone calls when you try to call and will never call/text you back. You will have better luck working with another company out there. This is one of the worst companies I have ever worked with and have no idea how they are still in business. read more

The French Connection, formerly of Los Gatos, did our kitchen about 25 years ago. The cabinets are cherry wood with pewter nobs and require special handling. We were very concerned about who did the refinish work. After interviewing a couple of people APF agreed to take one cabinet door and demonstrate the quality of workmanship; well, the demonstration was outstanding along with the price quote. It is so rare that one can get quality and value. The job is complete now and APF did a wonderful job. They were timely as well as having done an amazing job of refinishing the cabinets and nobs. Wow! I can't believe how incredible our built-in hutch looks after Emil's masterful repair!!! We had All perfect finish repair out beautiful mahogany built-in buffet from our 1928 home. There was damage to the built-in from another worker who had worked on it and created a bit of a disaster.Although I was upset about the damage I have to admit that after Emil's worked on it, it looks better than it ever did. It was a joy to watch Emil's work because you can tell he is an absolute master at what he does. He had a level of perfection that you almost never find. He paid attention to all details including the weather and how it would affect the final finish. He also gave me tips and pointers on how to repair the rest of the woodwork in the house including what products to use and the best techniques. All Perfect Finish did a great job refinishing my kitchen cabinets. It brought our older maple cabinets back to life with like a nice smooth factory-like finish. I appreciated the help they provided in helping me pick the appropriate color to match my existing crown molding. All the doors and drawers were painted back at their shop to minimize the disruption at home, which I also appreciated. They also replaced the crown at the top of cabinets which was a great update, and repaired a crack in one of the cabinet doors. The price was reasonable with great workmanship. Earlier this year we had water damage in our home due to sewage fill-up. Other contractors were on the job for demolition/dryout and reconstruction. Among the last steps of getting things back to "normal" was to paint new wood for toe kicks and base shoes to match the kitchen cabinetry unaffected by water damage. We were in need of finished wood quickly for reconstruction to be completed on time. Six years earlier, All Perfect Finish refinished our kitchen cabinets, but they did not know of our recent water damage. Upon a phone call to Emil, he and his team responded with flying colors! I dropped off unfinished wood sheets and strips one week before our absolute latest due date. Not only did APF promptly and beautifully finish them in exactly the right finish, but Emil hand delivered them just two days later (five days before our discussed due date!). He also provided us cans of paint and directions regarding what sequence to use them for any touch ups we might require. After evaluating what to do to restore our 20 year old kitchen cabinets to a like new condition (reface, refinish, or replace) we decided to have them stripped down to the bare wood and repainted. Using Yelp as a guide, we selected All Perfect Finish to do the job. Here in Silicon Valley it is difficult to find a Company experienced in "Old World Craftsmanship" but we found that Emile and his crew (Luis and Eddy) were artisans in their craft. One word of advice, whatever schedule Emile gives you mentally double that time - as schedules slip, paint suppliers have shipment delays, etc. If you build in this factor you will not be frustrated in any delays. This is just a reality to keep in mind when planning down time of your kitchen. Just real life you need to anticipate and deal with. Very happy with the "new" kitchen! read more

I brought in a door from our natural bathroom maple cabinets which had a fair amount of water damage from the past. Emil and his crew refinished the door in a few days to show what the finished product would look like, and the result was fantastic. This is a belated review for Emil and his team who refinished my driveway gate. I had to wait and see how the gate did in all climates because I have been fooled before. I had purchased a beautiful wood gate from Oregon with a finish that was applied by the gate manufacturers. The finished lasted less than 10 months. The finish started to peel off in many areas and the wood underneath was damaged. I had various quotes from different folks but Emil recommend a finish that is used on wooden boats. This finish has lasted through the summer heat in Campbell and now in freezing weather and morning dew. it continues to look beautiful and best of all, it is not peeling off! Emil is the owner and was a true professional to work with. I choose him by cold calling a bunch of places and sending a picture of the custom-built fireplace surround I wanted finished. Out of 5 bids, almost all came back with the typical $50/linear foot price, even though my setup was not the "typical" cabinetry as I had 2 columns, a 10' mantel, and 3 small speaker cabinets. His bid was the only one that I thought was fair considering the work to be done. His honesty, integrity and customer-orientation continued all the way through the end of the project. I was a very small job for him, yet he treated me with all the attention I needed. I literally spent a total of over 3 hours at his shop at different times and he happily explained to me the differences between the stains, reworked a bunch of samples to match some existing cabinetry, and answered all the other questions I had. At one point, I wasn't happy with how the finish looked (mostly due to an error in the cabinetry) and he let me take it back home, correct it, and then he refinished it again to my liking. Unbelievable! I was so impressed! I was so happy with his service and work, I tipped him. This clearly wasn't the norm, as he looked at me and asked if I was "an angel." Then, he promptly took the tip money and told me to give it the guys in the shop as they were the ones who did the work. Again, I thought I was dreaming ... here is a guy that takes care of his customers and his employees. That says it all. He is the real angel. I will be going back for my next project for sure!!! APF refinished the cabinets throughout our home. The end result was very good, but it took forever to get there. A 2 week job took 3 months. There were numerous no-shows and postponements, and when the workers did show up, they only worked a few hours. The refinishing part was great, the little repairs were bad. Beware of the contract which says not to talk to the workers (but Emil generally did not come by to check up on the work, so who else was I going to ask questions) and to pay half upfront and half before the refinished cabinets were delivered and installed, which of course gave them no incentive to finish.
