If something needs replacement, they explain why. They actually talked me out of repairs and upgrades, which I didn't need. Their prices are reasonable but work can take awhile. This is understandable as these are old cars and they have to track down the parts. They can even fabricate parts that aren't made anymore and not available. At times, you may have to wait a week or two to get a part, but then it only takes a day to do the actual work. Their shop is full of classic cars being repaired/restored from the humble, like mine, to the high end ones I dream about.

However, the driver's door would not open and the car would not start. So, I knew needed help from someone who knew more than I did about fixing the problem with my car. As I considered several options, none of them seemed good, based upon my own experience as well as on-line reviews. So I decided to ask Google for the highest rated Corvette Auto Repair Shops in Scottsdale. Legends Luxury Auto Repair was #1. I was very impressed by the outstanding reviews of Legends and decided to see if Legends would be interested in working on my car, if I could find someone who could tow the car to them (a challenge since I could not get the auto transmission out of park.) My call went to voice mail, so I left a message asking for a return call. A couple of hours later, I called again and was pleased to talk to Danny (the Owner and Master Mechanic). I explained the problem with the car and asked if he would be willing to work on it, if I could find a way to get it to him. He said he was confident he could fix it, but suggested that I try several things first. Over the next 20-30 minutes he recommended that I try several things, which did not work. Then he gave me another assignment, which would take several minutes, and I did not want to take any more of his time, so I told him I would try it and would call him back to let him know if his recommendation worked ... and it did and I did! I called him to report success, to thank him, and to offer to pay him for his time and patient troubleshooting and guidance. He would not accept any payment and said he was glad to help and that he did not charge for work that he did not do. When I objected, he said all he did was guide me and I did the work that fixed the problem. He gave me far more credit than I deserve, so I am giving him the credit in this review. I assured him that I would be his customer with both my 2014 and 1970 Corvettes for life! I can confidently say that my conversations and interactions with Danny were the best I have ever had with a mechanic for my Vettes, which is why I am pleased to give Danny and Legends Luxury Auto Repair a 5-Star Review! We moved the truck.on to a very satisfied new owner. We stopprd driving Mom's '94 Ford Tempo about 10 years ago. We covered it and rolled it into a side yard. Kirk, the service manager, has been a big part of why I keep coming back -- he's down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to even when I don't fully understand the technical side of things. I really appreciate their communication process, including texted reports and photos of the work being done. So far, everything they've done has been straightforward and honest. When I've questioned their diagnostics or recommendations, Kirk has taken the time to explain things clearly and has even reached out to Jasper (the company that rebuilt my engine) just to help put my mind at ease. That level of follow-through means a lot, especially after a bad experience elsewhere. My one significant complaint is their shop fees. These charges aren't itemized as a "shop supply fee" or anything specific -- they just appear as a flat fee, and they're not disclosed anywhere in the initial quote. Most shops I've dealt with cap this type of fee around $50, but I was charged $90 on one occasion. Not listing this upfront feels misleading, and I think it's something customers should be made aware of before authorizing work. That said, trust in the actual mechanical work matters a lot to me, and this shop has earned that trust. I'll continue bringing my vehicle here, but I'd strongly encourage them to be more transparent about these fees upfront -- it would go a long way toward making an already good experience a great one.
