I was given Danny's of Legends Luxury Auto Repair's phone number from a Cadillac XLR Forum I am part of, and then checked his Yelp reviews and other online reviews, and could not believe how many 5 star reviews he has! I can see why now. Read on fellow Yelpers... My experience with Danny started with programming a key fob that 3 different CADILLAC dealerships were unable to do. Not Danny though. He was not only able to program my spare key fob with no problem (there were some steps involved, but he just zipped through them) but then asked to see the broken one that I was told from the dealership was unrepairable, which he promptly returned to me in working condition about 5 minutes after I handed it to him! I now have 3 working xlr key fobs instead of 1. I have since brought my 2006 Cadillac XLR V to his shop for some other repairs I had been procrastinating due to cost. Now EVERYTHING mechanical, electrical, and otherwise is working fine and the car is running like brand new. AND just like his website and business cards say, the repairs were done at less than 40% of the quotes I had from multiple Cadillac dealerships. I know this for sure, I have many quotes in my email. Plus, none of them that I had called anyway, had an actual Master Certified XLR Tech which Danny is. That must explain his uncanny ability to diagnose and fix any problem with these cars. If you own a Cadillac XLR or XLR V, I highly recommend that you only take it to Legends Luxury Auto Repair on Scottsdale Rd midway between McKellips and McDowell Rd. You will save yourself thousands of dollars, not to mention, you'll have the peace of mind knowing your repairs and/or upgrades were done right. Now, I don't want to leave out that they repair other cars also. Danny's and his other mechanics' skills go beyond that with ASE Certifications, GM Master Tech certifications, and all kinds of others that I can't remember (see the About page on his website legendsluxuryautorepair.com). They have fixed my Toyota Tundra truck too, but they specialize in Cadillac repair, Corvette repair (all generations, models, and years), and all GM car and truck repairs. And lastly, the customer service second to none. Kathryn, his wife and shop manager, marketing manager, and basically the person who keeps everything running seamlessly here! She is a pleasure to work with and makes sure everyone is taken care of. There's a nice waiting room here if you decide to wait with free WIFI, coffee, comfortable couches, tv, refreshments, and whatever you need. Awesome shop, great experience, I highly recommend Legends Luxury Auto Repair for any Cadillac, Corvette, and GM auto repairs. Oh yah, there are also car club and military discounts on top of their already very fair pricing. read more

When I replaced the battery on my 2014 (C7) Corvette and the lights in the rear compartment, turn signal lights, and head lights lit up, I thought I had successfully solved problems caused by the previously dead battery. However, the driver's door would not open and the car would not start. So, I knew needed help from someone who knew more than I did about fixing the problem with my car. As I considered several options, none of them seemed good, based upon my own experience as well as on-line reviews. So I decided to ask Google for the highest rated Corvette Auto Repair Shops in Scottsdale. Legends Luxury Auto Repair was #1. I was very impressed by the outstanding reviews of Legends and decided to see if Legends would be interested in working on my car, if I could find someone who could tow the car to them (a challenge since I could not get the auto transmission out of park.) My call went to voice mail, so I left a message asking for a return call. A couple of hours later, I called again and was pleased to talk to Danny (the Owner and Master Mechanic). I explained the problem with the car and asked if he would be willing to work on it, if I could find a way to get it to him. He said he was confident he could fix it, but suggested that I try several things first. Over the next 20-30 minutes he recommended that I try several things, which did not work. Then he gave me another assignment, which would take several minutes, and I did not want to take any more of his time, so I told him I would try it and would call him back to let him know if his recommendation worked ... and it did and I did! I called him to report success, to thank him, and to offer to pay him for his time and patient troubleshooting and guidance. He would not accept any payment and said he was glad to help and that he did not charge for work that he did not do. When I objected, he said all he did was guide me and I did the work that fixed the problem. He gave me far more credit than I deserve, so I am giving him the credit in this review. I assured him that I would be his customer with both my 2014 and 1970 Corvettes for life! I can confidently say that my conversations and interactions with Danny were the best I have ever had with a mechanic for my Vettes, which is why I am pleased to give Danny and Legends Luxury Auto Repair a 5-Star Review! I own a 2007 Cadillac XLR. Little did I know, XLRs should NOT be taken to a Cadillac dealership for service, unless they have a CERTIFIED "XLR" TECH on site (they have completed specialized training for the care & feeding of the XLR). Long story short, I took my car to a dealership for service, as my convertible top was having mechanical issues. They said my hydraulic pump had to replaced... Two-thousand dollars & two days later, the problem was still there - it was misdiagnosed and I learned the hard way. I'm more than grateful, to have found Danny at Legends! Not only is he an ASE & GM Master Tech, he's also a Master Certified XLR Tech. He diagnosed my top's problem in less than 15 minutes and had it fixed in less than 30. Parts & labor? Just 15% of what I was charged for at the dealership with a misdiagnosis! I've had Danny work on my car a few other times since then, for regular maintenance, etc. and I wouldn't trade him for the world! He is the most honest, knowledgeable & hardworking mechanic I've ever experienced! Danny goes above & beyond and the outcome? Excellent AND affordable- MUCH LESS than dealership prices! I would recommend Danny in a matter of seconds to friends, family and even my 83 year-old mother. Aside from the usual (knowledge, honesty, affordable, etc.), TRUST is the main ingredient to the RIGHT mechanic, and Danny/Legends is indeed the one to call. read more

I had a very bad car repair experience at a Chevy dealership service center who had my car for almost 3 months. In order to get any updates, They did not fix the problem. Talked to Danny at Legends Luxury Auto Repair over the phone and immediately felt at ease so I had my C5 Corvette towed to Legends. He called me twice the day it arrived, explained in detail what he was doing and what he was looking for. He told me when he would call for updates, and followed through. He had my car 6 business days. The day I picked it up, he went over everything. I was so confident, I decided to drive the car to Wisconsin the next day. No issues! Corvette ran like new. If you have a Corvette, Danny's group know's Corvettes! The price I paid at the dealership was 500 dollars more than what Legend's charged me. Can't say enough great things about this shop. So nice to drive my car again! Thanks Legends!! read more

I took my 2008 Pontiac Solstice to Luxury Legends for a pre-purchase inspection and to bring the car back to good working condition after purchase. I was told the car was a good find, just needed fluids replaced and brakes and a few parts and a couple of tires. Great news! When I initially took ownership of the car, it was riding a little loose and pulled a bit to the right, engine sounded rough, and .. it looked like a 2008. When I got it back, it looked brand new and sounded awesome. It has it's mojo back now. It sticks to the road and has power under the hood. I was super impressed by the work they did. They even shopped around for the parts that were needed to get good prices. Very nice guys in the shop. I'm taking all my vehicles there from now on. Great work for a very fair price. read more

Just moved to the Scottsdale area. My top priority was to find a good, honest, fair mechanic to take care of our cars. Both Chevrolets. An old van and a 2007 Corvette. The gentleman at Corvette Arizona suggested Legends. He said that the owner had close to 30 years experience working on GM products and was the only mechanic in the area that he would recommend to work on Vettes. From the very first phone call, the experience has been amazing. The owner, Danny Smith and his wife are already like family after just one visit!!! No pressure, no bull, no bait and switch. Just good old fashioned professional service with a huge smile. I recommend Legends Luxury Auto Repair to anyone with a vehicle. I wish I could give them 100 Stars!!! read more

Danny is the man to go to for Corvettes. Brought my C7 in for an A/C blower motor problem, Danny found the issue with the connector and sorted me out w/o having to replace the part. I also had a rear dif issue, getting a code "Rear Axel System Off". Dealership was quoting me $2200 for a new computer. Turns out Danny fixed it with a Dif fluid flush and bled the lines. No more rear-end off message and saved me a bundle! Put my money to good use and had Danny replace leaking rear shocks. Also super fast, had me in and out same week, even did the rear shocks same day! Super service and top notch troubleshooting. When he says he treats your cars like his own and your money like it was his he MEANS it! read more

Danny and his team at Legends are amazing. I have a classic 2004 Cadillac XLR and Danny knows this car from bumper to bumper and takes care of it as though it's his own. He has done some incredible things to bring my classic auto up to speed and keep it running with perfection. He is honest and professional and his wife, Katharine, is a joy to work with as she manages the business from the front desk. Finding Legends was like finding a pot of gold. Legends' pricing is better than competitive -- Danny keeps his prices very reasonable, much more so than a dealer. Without Danny I probably would have gotten rid of this car by now. read more

The team at Legends is extremely knowledgeable, Although I do not have a GM vehicle, they were able to assist me with an AC issue on my Volvo. Danny and William have extreme automotive knowledge and make a great team. After working on my AC, I spent quite a bit of time getting to know the team at Legends and found the entire team including the front office personnel to be very knowledgable in their fields. I truly enjoyed my experience at Legends and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for top quality service technicians for their vehicle in Phoenix. read more

I was advised at the Cadillac dealer that one of my front shocks and one of my back shocks were leaking. Dealer quoted me a price for the work. I made an appointment with Legends to have my car looked at. I was advised that the shocks were leaking, 2 in the rear and one in the front. The recommendation was to replace all 4 shocks and well as strut mounts in the front end of the Escalade. Legends performed the work. They did a great job. Also saved about 30% from what the dealer quoted for the same repair. I highly recommend this repair shop. read more

Legends has been maintaining my 2008 Corvette in perfect condition for nearly three years. Yesterday I arrived at 10:00 AM for an appointment to overhaul the brakes on all four wheels. Danny turned the car back over to me at 11:00, job done! I live 40 miles from his facility and was waiting there so Danny put three mechanics on the job. Dale Earnhardt's cars never received better treatment! Folks, car service doesn't getr any better than this! Thank you Danny! read more

I recently took my 2014 Chevy Corvette for repair. Danny communicated with me throughout the entire process from establishing an appointment to full completion of the work. I felt comfortable with his automotive knowledge and customer-focused service approach. After my vehicle was done, Danny provided a follow-up call to ensure I was satisfied with the work. My Corvette is performing optimally!! 100% satisfied and would highly recommend this repair shop. read more

Danny and his team are extremely knowledgeable and customer service orientated. I went to two auto repair shops prior to visiting Legends Luxury Auto and neither one could correctly diagnose what was wrong with my truck and fix it! Danny was able to identify and fix the problem quickly and at a very fair price. I highly recommend Danny and his team at Legends for your auto repair needs, especially if another shop was unable to fix your problem. read more

Legends is by-far the best automotive repair shop I have dealt with. Both Danny and Katherine are outstanding in customer service and competent repair work. I brought my 1988 Alante to their shop on Wednesday due to leaks I noticed on my garage floor. Danny promptly diagnosed the problems and did the necessary repairs and went out of his way to extensively test his repairs to make sure everything was properly fixed. read more

Danny and his team are fantastic. They are true mechanics, not just parts replacers. With his 30 plus years of experience, coupled with his multiple certifications from GM, there is nothing that he cannot diagnose and repair. He has worked on my 75 Chevy Caprice, 85 Cadillac Eldorado and 91 Camaro Z28 as well as my Daughter's 2003 Chevy Tahoe. I would put Legends above every shop in the Valley. read more

Absolutely the BEST automotive repair business in all of America. I had issues with my C7 Corvette that Chevrolet couldn't even figure out but I found out about Legends on a Corvette chat and called them up. They were able to tell me what was wrong after asking just 2 questions and my car was repaired a few days later (only because they had to order a part). I take my car there for everything now. read more

Danny and his team are superior mechanics and honest on top of that... Trust is huge in automotive repair. We will never take our corvette or suburban anywhere else. Had issues with both because of purchasing used vehicles that were improperly taken care of. Thanks to Legends we have vehicles that will continue to provide transportation for us for years to come. We feel like family as well.. read more

Legends has been taking care of my 2013 ATS for a few years now, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The owner Danny is very courteous, super knowledgeable, and has a passion for the Cadillac brand like I do. Although, some of my maintenance still goes through the dealership, I enjoy bringing my car into Legends. Those guys are great! I highly recommend taking your car there, you won't be sorry. read more

Danny is hands down the best mechanic we have ever found. We only take our vehicles to Danny as we know he is honest, hard working, and obviously the best mechanic in Arizona. Danny always takes time to explain the issue and how he fixed the problem. Our cars are always running in tip top shape. Save yourself the hassle and go to Danny. I promise you won't be disappointed. read more
