The Phoenix shop diagnosed it as a rear ring and pinion and provided a reasonable price and timeframe. When I picked it up the price had increased $200 dollars but I was still happy so I paid. When driving away, I had the same clinking noise and asked if anyone test drove it before telling me to come from Scottsdale to pick it up. No one did. The Phoenix shop owner offered a new diagnosis of rebuild of the rear driveshaft cardan joint. I was upset and needed my Jeep to get to work so I left. I will never go back there. Here's why. Orin agreed to look at my Jeep last Thursday afternoon. Once I arrived at this Deer Valley shop, he listened to the clink and guided us onto a lift. Within 10 minutes after I arrived he diagnosed several loose bolts connecting the rear driveshaft to the transfer case, tightened the bolts and our problem was solved. My favorite part (and my daughter's) was the cute little cocoa bar they had set up since it's Christmas time! So cute! Service was a in house rebuild on a 2006 F150 transmission. Mike takes care of the rebuilds and his expertise shows. Oh I guess now is a good time to mention that this vehicle has 439,000 plus miles on it. And the transmission had never been touched as far as repairs, just fluid and filter changes when I remembered they were due. They stand behind the work and do understand the customers needs. Had a slight issue after picking the truck up that was promptly addressed even though it was actually not related to the rebuild. My shift cable was so old that it would not retain adjustment. It was 20 years old at least. Mike found the issue and actually walked me out so I could see what was happening. Part was ordered, wrong part was shipped over to there shop twice due to it not matching the vin number. When they found the part number after removal. Nadira actually ran and picked it up to help expedite the repair. Mike took care of the labor to install and I just paid for the cable. They didn't have to do this, this was above and beyond since this was not related to the actual work preformed or quoted. Transmission has about 350 miles on it now and wow its working way better than I could have dreamed of shifts are on point and smoother than I would have ever dreamed off. Way to go, This shop is on my highly recommend list and I will be taking all my business here if the need ever arises. Shop has my vote for business of the year, way to go to the whole crew involved. Told me to come in to check it out and Mike went out to diagnose the issue and he advised it's not a trans issue, but an electrical issue based on the codes that were coming up. He suggested I find a place specializing in electrical. They didn't try to nickel and dime me and charge an inspection fee. For a Saturday they were pretty busy and the parking lot was full. I brought my truck here for transmission . They did a horrible job. Got the truck back after 6…read moreweeks and it was not shifting correctly, it was going into limp mode, un-drivable and also leaking transmission fluid badly. Long story short I took the truck back in several times trying to correct the problems, each time it was there for weeks at a time and they shipped the truck off to some other location each time as well and would not tell me where it was. each time it came back with new scratches, filthy inside and still not correctly fixed. They kept telling me how "complicated" this transmission was and claiming that the TCM was no good and supposedly replaced that a few times claiming each time they received a bad part again....it was an absurd nightmare. finally they seemed to have it fixed, it lasted about a month then started slipping again pretty frequently, since the check engine light was not coming on I was told there was nothing wrong and to "just drive it like that" I did not want to take it in again so I did just drive it like that for almost 3 years slipping between 3rd and 4th consistently. It finally fully broke again.It was still under their warranty but my experience with them was so bad and I was so tired of not having a correctly working transmission that I went out of pocket and payed another shop to do the work (cost me $7200) somehow the new place was able to do the work in less than a week , replaced the broken transmission and all components and everything works perfectly. Dealing with Anthem was a truly horrible experience, I do not know how this place can even be in business. Steve and his wife come off as friendly at first but the second anything goes wrong or you DARE to call and check in on your vehicle that has been there for weeks or months the shitty attitude shows up, dismissive , talk over you , dont listen, pretend to completely forget who you are...you name it. They should not own a business, they do not have integrity and should have never ever allowed me to go thru such an ordeal. I am glad it is over and will never go there again.

Update: Their Front Desk Guy Hooked me on a $200 dollar UPsell on my Vintage PU Truck that I had…read morebrought in for 1(one) minor issue involving the PRNDL linkage. Without indicating there was ANY cost involved whatsoever, Front Desk Guy sweetly asked "would you like us to give it a once-over?" Which, since I was at that time a regular customer, I THOUGHT that meant just give it a safety-check out of courtesy to a repeat, publicly complimentary, senior-citizen client that they maybe cared for! How wrong I was. After having it several days, they tell me that they can't fix the original problem because they "Couldn't find the part - and wouldn't install an after-market part off of Ebay" (My car is a 1999 w/ low mileage) Then the real Clinker after 3 days: They call and say, "We couldn't fix your problem, but come and get your truck and pay Christian Bro's nearly $200 bucks for a "diagnostic" that I WAS NOT INFORMED UP FRONT would cost anything at all! But also, this 'Diagnostic' informs me that my truck needs OVER $4300 DOLLARS in servicings and repairs - Including NEW BRAKES that, apparently the "Diagnostic expert" wasn't aware had been replaced by them on that very truck a few months earlier! I felt totally taken advantage of and complained to the manager, John, who gave me some "yada yada" and stated that that particular employee working the front desk was fired - However, and this is the whole point of the story - This manager of this multi-million dollar, allegedly 'Christian', gold-mine on the corner of Thunderbird & 75th Ave would NOT refund all, or any part, of this deceitful charge with a humble apology for their unscrupulous employee (note: Failure to disclose a COST right up front is a LIE ) Not only that, but Upsell #1 opened the door for MEGA-UPSELL #2 of $4,319 dollars! I STILL look back at this lengthy report with shock and awe. According to this diagnostic that I didn't ask for, there's no reason, whatsoever, my truck is still able to roll down the street. According to them, practically EVERYTHING on my vehicle is on it's last couple of miles.; Lastly, and final insult to my patronage, my age, my intelligence, nor would Christian Brothers even offer a discount or a half-off on the next visit to them. You know, a way of saying, "We still want your business". I think they saw a senior-woman and saw a dumb sucker ready to be plucked out of the stream of suckers. In that lone experience, I learned Christian Brothers is all about "Show me the $ MONEY $" They are only after the money, and customer retention is completely moot. They could care LESS if you are a returning customer. I am no longer using Christian Brothers for any auto repair needs.
