My mother was gifted a blanket by her late sister over two decades ago. The blanket was so loved and used that it become frayed to irreparable. My mother instructed me to discard it because it was completely unusable. But I kept it, since I knew deep down it was an irreplaceable item to her/us. Currently, my mother is battling end-stage liver disease and currently is in the hospital. She is in quiet discomfort, understandably, so. I thought if I can do anything for my mom, it was to gift her something that would mitigate her duress and pain. My mothers imminent death is tentative, ergo I immediately called the first place I saw on Yelp. I explained the situation and they were more than happy to help even if the task of fixing the blanket seemed impossible. With alacrity "All Fit Tailoring and Alterations" took the decayed blanket and gave it new life. When I presented it to my mom today it brought her so much ease and "loved it". Seeing her peaceful after a long time was a priceless moment. Thank-you for taking me on as a client, being efficient and altering my mothers blanket with so much care. Her favorite part of the blanket was the floral purple trim (I told them purple was my moms favorite color). You guys are truly a Godsend. Perpetually grateful read more

This tailor does charge a bit more on the expensive side. However, very reliable work. Everything they have altered for me has turned out perfect. I never worry when I drop something off with them. They also understand current style and can give good advice on alterations so things still look modern. I recently moved further away from Back Bay. I found a local tailor who ended up ruining a simple pant hem. Ended up coming back to this tailor. read more

Binh tailored my wedding gown and did an absolutely incredible job, I cannot recommend her enough. I wanted a few relatively largely changes made to my Amsale gown, and Binh executed each expertly. She removed an entire lace layer from the gown and opened up the slit. This came out wonderful, and she was able to advise me on the best way to go about this process in order to make sure the dress was not too sheer. My gown was also quite a bit loose in several areas, and Binh did a wonderful job taking it in perfectly throughout the hip and legs, as well as in the waist and bust. My gown fit me like a glove on my second (out of three fittings)! Binh's expertise was certainly worth the price, as I felt so comfortable and beautiful on my big day. read more

My experience with Binh was wonderful and I highly recommend her for your wedding dress alterations. From day 1, she understood my vision (I added off the shoulder straps and removed the extra lining inside the dress) and provided helpful suggestions on how to make my dress fit perfectly. The final result was STUNNING for my Sedona, AZ elopement. :) All Fit Tailoring is clean and is in a lovely space so you can be assured it follows the covid safety protocols. read more

I had my wedding dress altered at All Fit Tailoring and I HIGHLY recommend them. The shop is spotless. Binh is an absolute gem. She is so kind, and she genuinely wanted to make my wedding dress perfect for me (and she did!). I had to have the dress taken in quite a bit, but Binh did it absolutely perfectly. She is an expert and this truly shows during conversations with her. The cost was 100% worth it to me because I fully trusted Binh and her team. An added bonus for anyone who works in the Back Bay Area - it's very convenient to be able to pop into your wedding tailoring appointments without having to take time off of work. Something I hadn't thought about until it actually played out for me. read more

Bihn was so sweet and did an incredible job on my wedding gown. I was extremely pleased with how my gown turned out and by my surprise she got it perfect on the first fitting. Bihn was nice enough to hold my dress in store until my big day since I didn't have room in my apartment & she even steamed it prior to my wedding. 100% recommend trusting her with your wedding gown - she will make you look stunning read more

I LOVED working with All Fit Tailoring. I had a pretty complex wedding dress from BHLDN. I'm also a shorter lady and my dress was big, so I was worried about getting lost in all that fabric and about getting the proportions just right to fit my body. All Fit Tailoring eased all my worries starting from my first appointment, and the process was simple and painless the whole way through. They were professional, prompt, and very sweet every time I visited for a fitting. The wedding planning process is so hectic and stressful, and professional vendors like All Fit Tailoring are really a dream come true. And, of course, the dress came out beautifully. It fit like a glove and I didn't get lost in all that beautiful fabric :) read more

Absolutely amazing - couldn't recommend Bihn more! She did a fantastic job with my wedding dress and was a joy to work with.

DO NOT BRING YOUR WEDDING DRESS HERE. it is overpriced and on top of that, they do a terrible job. I was charged $900 to just hem and adjust the length of the straps of my wedding dress. The hem was uneven.... larger on one side than the other and the tailor blamed the original dress saying she only measured from the bottom up. I'm sorry. you half-ass your job only doing a quick fix when you are altering a couture dress... unacceptable. If you are a bride - find somewhere else. I am ok paying for good quality work but you won't find that at all-fit. read more

Used All Fit for my Sarah Seven wedding dress after being highly recommended from Ceremony that they send all the Sarah Seven brides there. I only had about 2 months from when my dress was shipped to my wedding day so didn't get to do a ton of shopping around but was very happy with the service & fit of my dress. My dress wasn't complicated but needed multiple areas to be taken in, hem, bustle & they added small discreet hooks & eye to my dress for my cathedral cape to attach more seamlessly. Dress came out amazing and looked like a dream wedding day but is definitely pricey- so be prepared! read more

All Fit Tailoring and Alterations - Thanks to Binh, her mom and dad for making this dress fit me so well. I love and glad that I kept my train but just hemmed the front. - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

I recently had my wedding dress altered at All Fit and am glad I trusted them with it -- I'm very pleased with how it turned out. In the initial appointment, they listened to what I was looking for and were also helpful in suggesting ideas for adjustments. I ended up having the straps shortened and adding a bustle. It came out just as they explained and I had imagined. The prices aren't cheap, but I think they're reasonable for the area, and certainly for the quality of work you get. They were also a pleasure to work with. read more

They were so sweet!! I could tell that they were true experts at their craft, and walked me through every suggestion they had with clarity and good rationale. At my final fitting, they took lots of photos for me to show friends and family, and even recorded a video of instructions on how to do my bustle, which ended up being a breeze to put up on the day-of. Thank you for your beautiful work! read more

I had the best experience bringing my bridal gown in here. Binh answered my email request very quickly and times were very flexible to come in. She was very knowledgable in what would work best for my gown and what needed to be done with it. I trusted her judgement 100% and it paid off because I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day. For the quality of work, the price is fair! My gown fit me perfectly and I received many compliments. I would highly recommend!! read more

They did an incredible job on my dressess! My white dress fit like a glove and my red dress was shortened perfectly. With the amount of details on my train they hemmed it gorgeously, the only reason why I didn't give a 5/5 is because I had to repeatedly tell them the white dress was still too long, which they were a little apprehensive about and eventually left (I did step on it multiple times) but they were right it looked prettier longer as long as you weren't moving . Overall professionals and worth the price. read more

I brought in my grandmother's wedding dress to be altered to wear for my own wedding. The dress wasn't in very good condition due to poor storage, and there were some very tricky lace repairs that All Fit did a nice job with. Unfortunately, that was about the end of my positive experience there. I wish Binh had been honest with me at the start of our work together that this kind of alteration of an older dress wasn't her speciality. Instead, she just seemed annoyed that she had to work with me at all. I watched her greet several other brides warmly and spend 15-30 minutes working with them, while I was lucky to get 5 or 10 minutes before being rushed out of my appointments. I picked up my dress the week before the wedding only to discover that it was still several inches too long. I called Binh and drove two hours to bring the dress back to her for a last minute fix. When I arrived, Binh insisted that I had told her not to change the length, and showed me a note she'd written at a previous meeting that the length was good. I don't know how that miscommunication happened, but I can't imagine that she saw me wear the dress with my intended shoes, saw that it was four or five inches too long, and thought that was acceptable. When I finally picked up the adjusted dress the day before the wedding, it was still somehow too long. I'm honestly not entire sure if it was shortened at all in the six days between when I dropped it off and picked it up. I was stepping on the front all day during my wedding, and even had to switch to a back up dress for the reception because I couldn't dance in my dress, even with the expensive bustle that Binh added. I'm really disappointed with my experience, and despite being extremely happy with all of the the other vendors for my wedding, really regret choosing All Fit. I'm sure All Fit provides a great service for fitting newer dresses, but I would never recommend bringing an older item here unless you want to be treated coldly and end up with a poorly fitted garment. read more

Binh and her Mom saved my Wedding! When I first went to All fit, I couldn't fit into my wedding dress, it came in too small. (Or I gained too many pounds) I was a wreck, but Binh and her mom made me feel comfortable from the start! They assessed the situation and gave me a few options with different price points to make me feel comfortable. I ended up ordering more fabric and had them re-build the entire back of the dress which was the pricier option, because I wanted the dress to look the same. It was worth every penny! I even wanted them to do the front over after I saw how great the back look. The alterations required a number of visits and they were pleasant each time, It was even bittersweet picking up my dress because I had to say bye!! They worked a miracle and I'm forever grateful because it came out so fabulous! read more

Binh is incredible and worth every penny. I lost a significant amount of inches before my wedding day and she nipped and tucked every inch of my wedding dress to fit me absolutely perfectly. She pays such attention to detail and you can tell she has such a passion for ensuring each dress is delicately handled with the utmost care. Despite being a bit pricier than I expected for alterations, her work was worth every single penny, I felt so stunning on my wedding day and it's all thanks to Binh's incredible eye for detail. Binh flexed to my busy schedule and stayed open for me a couple times so that I could come when it was convenient for me. Extremely rude customer service. Heard great things about this place, but after just speaking to the woman on the phone regarding bridal gown alterations, I couldn't bring myself to give them my business . Binh is the absolute best! I had ordered my dress custom sized, but somehow the dress ended up a little shorter than I wanted. She was able to add another layer to the dress to both give the skirt a fuller look and seamlessly make my dress seem longer! I actually went back for a fitting twice because I couldn't decide how I wanted to address the length of the skirt and she was so patient and listened to exactly what my concerns were and what I wanted. My dress was almost completely soft tulle and lace/chiffon applique, but she was great with how delicate the dress was and all the intricate details of the bodice when she had to adjust the straps. I wouldn't trust anybody else with something so important. My wedding was one of the best days of my life and it all started with wearing a dress I loved. Thanks Binh for everything! read more

Lan and Nam are super sweet (no fuss, no attitude). If you want to try a new tailor at a great price then give them a try. They're newly opened for a few months so they're currently offering 25% off through the end of June. I brought in two dresses for some basic alterations and couldn't be more pleased. The yellow Theory dress (pictured) had straps taken up to reduce the gap at the arm hole. The navy Banana Republic maxi dress (also pictured) was shortened on the bottom. Both jobs were completed a few days early. I dropped off both items last Saturday and was promised one week but I received a call that they were ready on Wednesday. Both jobs were completed for a total of $30 after the 25% off promotion. I also snagged their pricing list for other alterations but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post it or if it's more for my own reference. When I picked up my items I also brought along my white Theory blazer to have the sleeves fixed. I can't wait to see what they can do to rescue a bad tailoring job from last year. :) read more

Quality of work was good, however they bait and switch you on pricing. Buyer Beware. The seamstress told me one number when I had her look at it, upon picking up the dressed charged me $200 dollars more then what she quoted me. She blamed it on her accent and said I must not of understood her. I understood her perfectly well and almost fought it until I realized she had my dress hostage. My advice would be to get the estimate in writing and make sure your receipt says the amount before walking out the door. Lesson learned. read more

Binh worked absolute magic on my dress!! As we ladies know, bridal dress sizing is...ridiculous...to say the least. I had ordered three sizes above my normal dress size to fit my booty, but that left the top of my dress absolutely massive on my smaller waist and chest. The before and after shots of what Binh did to make my dress fit me beautifully are nothing short of miraculous! With all of the uncertainty and stress surrounding our 2020 wedding, it meant so much to know that at the very least my dress was an easy part. Bring your wedding dress or other important garments into All Fit! My sewing skills are limited to buttons and pants hems, if that's a level 1, altering wedding dresses require skills that only a talented master would have. The team at All Fit are just that, masters. Also noteworthy is their kindness, organized customer service system, and obvious humility/pride that they have for the work they do for each bride. It's not just about the dress, Binh provided helpful advice on undergarments for my specific style of dress/body type and what to be considerate of as I was moving around on my wedding day (the fabric might move this way as I moved in another direction). I went into All Fit with a dress I was having second thoughts about, but All Fit performed what seemed like magic and now I wish I could wear the dress everyday. I felt gorgeous! They provide clear explanations of costs and while the cost might be slightly higher than others, it's worth it to be confident that your dress and you will be taken care of, right down to the last button. read more

If you have a wedding dress to be tailored, don't even think about anywhere else, because All Fit's got you covered. The staff is not only incredibly friendly, but incredibly talented- my dress could not have fit me more perfectly, and they were able to rejigger a complicated lace/crochet overlay and make it look like it had never been touched. They made some great suggestions ("let's make mom happy and keep a mini-train, and the next time you come in you can see what it looks like and we can trim it off if you don't like it"), and were honest about what would and would not work or look good (for example, if I made the dress any snugger any lower, I wouldn't be able to move and dance freely). These ladies really know their stuff, and I felt beautiful on my wedding day partly because of the work they did on my dress (and will post pictures shortly). Yes, their work comes at a cost, but it's absolutely worth it. I only wish I had more beautiful clothing to take them to do their magic on... read more

This place was the worst! I'm new to Boston so I was trying to figure out where to go to get my wedding dress fitted. I saw this place so I booked a consultation and that's when it all went wrong. It took the woman 25 minutes and $80 total to tell me that alterations would cost me $1,000 (I understand this is a ritzy part of town so that's not even the part that upset me the most), but on top of that, she was rude! Before telling me the price for alterations, she was already telling me I couldn't afford additional alterations and that if I wanted to save some money on taking the sides in on my dress, I should "spend the money for alterations on eating more cheeseburgers instead". Not even kidding you. She then goes on to tell me about how she has gained weight over the years and for me not to worry, that once I get married and a few years go on I'll become "fat and happy". It was just obvious that she is struggling with her self esteem by putting me down, instead, but it was so unprofessional that I couldn't wait to get out of there. And as far as me becoming fat and happy - actually, no. I'm a vegetarian who leads an active lifestyle and I do my best to take care of myself in the best way that I can. Body shaming is NEVER an okay thing to do, and it's important to recognize how your own internal issues can become misplaced towards someone else. I really hope she can learn to love herself because to me, that's where those types of comments stem from. read more

Boston has a million tailors. They're all over - but the problem is, when you look through reviews, there tend to be many positive reviews (OMG best tailor EVER!! He did everything SO fast and saved my wedding!!!) and many negatives (She destroyed my favorite suit!! STAY AWAY!!!). So, you never really know where to go. They all charge generally the same amount, so price isn't a help either. After doing a bunch of homework, I landed on All Fit on Newbury St. to get a few jeans tailored. For $30 a pair (and they accept credit cards unlike some other shops), they keep the original hem, and do a MUCH cleaner/better job than other tailors in the area who have done similar work for me in the past. You don't feel rushed, the people are friendly, and the work is done on-time and done well. I've never been more impressed with a tailor. And to back that up, they have about 100 wedding dresses currently in progress in the shop. So the fact that so many people trust them is another positive sign. Kudos to Binh - I'll be back to see you much more in the future. read more

My Mother of the Bride dress did not fit correctly and I was skeptical about how the local tailor wanted to alter it. My daughter uses this tailor for alterations. Instead of altering the shoulders, they pulled up the waist and shortened the sleeves. The dress looked incredible on me! I didn't care how much I paid, I wanted the dress to be correctly altered and look fabulous. You get what you pay for, it was well worth the cost! I got many compliments. They also altered my daughter's wedding dress. She is 5'3" and wedding dresses are usually made for taller people. Her dress fit like a glove, the bustle in the back was amazing they certainly focus on detail! She looked stunning in the dress as it was altered correctly to fit her petite height. All Fit Tailoring and Alterations - Allison and Ben, the dress was stunning! Thank you All Fit Tailoring! - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

All Fit did an incredible job in my dress. I am petite so the gown needed to be taken in at almost every seam and the fabric was very delicate and lacy. When my dress came in, it fit horribly and I almost had buyer's remorse thinking it would never look right. After a few fittings, it fit like a glove and I was so happy with the dress. The only draw back is the expense - I was not expecting alterations to cost the same amount as the dress. I would recommend getting a ballpark quote on costs before getting all pinned in so you're not surprised like I was. But after all was said and done, I was so happy with my dress and the experience I had during each fitting. Bihn made it a fun process and she spent time making sure I was happy. If you want to be sure your alterations come out exactly the way you want them,I would recommend All Fit. read more

If you are looking for wedding dress or any alterations, look no further than All Fit Tailoring. Binh at All Fit tailored 2 wedding dresses for me for my July 3rd wedding. On the day of my wedding, my maid of honor was stemming one of my dresses and the stemmer created a massive stain On the dress. As I was panicking, my maid of honor called Binh from All Fit. Binh was not working that day but instructed my sister to have someone meet her and bring the dress and she would figure it out. In under 3 hours, Binh had cut out the piece that was stained and used a piece of my train that she had cut previously to replace the stained part. You could not tell, the dress looked absolutely perfect. I know All Fit is a little pricier than some of the other options but you literally cannot beat that kind of service. Both of my dresses came out absolutely perfect. The week of my wedding, one of my dresses was too big because I had lost too much weight and of course Binh had fixed it within 24 hours. I brought a bridesmaids dress here for tailoring. It was very large so the alterations were quoted at $475. I proceeded because I need the alterations done and do not have a lot of time to quote elsewhere. I mentioned the price to the dress store where I purchased the dress and they were shocked. I promptly called All Fit and asked them not to start the alterations yet. That's literally all I said. Next I know, the owner is calling me telling she's removed the pins. Now, I haven't canceled the work or been refunded and she's removing the pins. I do plan to take the dress elsewhere as other similarly talented tailors on the same street are $170. When I informed her I never canceled the service and would have been happy to pay her for the fitting she told me she couldn't leave the pins in because she was afraid I would sue her if I got poked. She then got angry when I told her how ridiculous this was and she exclaimed she wasn't going to let someone else "steal her work." This woman I know does good work, but her ego combined with her reactive personality make her undesirable to work with. As I mentioned, I was very happy to pay her for the fitting to save myself another trip to newbury street. The dress store was going to pick up the dress and bring it to the less expensive tailor so I didn't need an additional trip and fitting. She also has refused to refund me until I come into the store because she claimed she's unable to process a refund unless I'm in the store. I have disputed this with my credit card company to avoid dealing with this woman. Very unexpected and undesirable behavior coming from a high end business owner over spending 10 minutes pinning a dress and then behaving as though she's the only person capable of doing so. She actually insulted other local tailors saying "you get what you pay for". This woman has a high degree of arrogance and a bit of a temper. I hear her alterations are high end but all I got was a high end temper tantrum with a large dose of drama, but thankfully I'm only a bridesmaid and she didn't do this to the bride. I would encourage anyone who wants less stress in preparation for their special day, to go elsewhere, nobody needs additional drama from the tailor of all people! No thank you! read more

Binh is the secret hero of my wedding. When my dress arrived in the midst of Covid, I was really unhappy with it. I'm very grateful. In the end, I wore the original dress and I think it fit me as well as it possibly could have, thanks to her very high quality alterations. Professional, punctual, and skilled are just a few of the words I would use to describe the tailoring of three business suits. Each to my specifications. Are there a lot of brides with bridal dresses? Yes absolutely. But that is exactly why this shop runs so smoothly. If they handle bridal dresses and grooms tuxedos, just imagine how easy a suit alteration is as part of their work flow. The shop is run by a mother and her daughter, both are kind and responsive. I needed a quick turn around on three suit pants for a conference in San Francisco, and the mother and daughter texted me personally to let me know when I could pick up my pats. Tailored my wedding dress perfectly :) super professional and struck the right balance between my input and the tailor's input.

I was very impressed by quick turn-around time at All Fit. I brought my Bridesmaid dress in for alterations Friday and it was ready for pick up on Monday! The ladies working were very professional and quick to provide service. I would definitely agree with some of the previous reviews that the customer service could be improved. I felt as though my consultation was very rushed (though I was not looking to make any extreme changes to the dress). They quickly pinned and chalked the dress for hemming and that was that. I would have preferred to have a bit more communication, but, I suppose that may be why their turn-around is so quick! I'll take it. I paid $100 for the straps to be pulled up a half an inch and for the hemming at the bottom. I thought this was a little steep for the minimal changes I had done, but I was willing to pay extra to go to a place with a good reputation. I was satisfied with their work and would definitely recommend them to any of my friends in the area looking for alterations! read more
