As an adult, I keep track of my appointments and dont want to be infantilized. If you don't confirm an appointment by the time they want, they will cancel your slot and make you an 'anytime appointment'. I understand needing a schedule, but I really dont like threats. Additionally, they just didn't show up for an appointment they pestered me about and when i contacted them at 6pm, i got an 'oopsie' reply from a third party person who said i'd be contacted by the office. That was several months ago so.... All in all I just didn't appreciate how I was treated.

That promise has never once been honored. Instead, they send a different technician almost every visit. Each new technician arrives unfamiliar with the property, and we have to walk them through everything all over again -- where to go, which bait traps need refilling, and where things are located. Apparently the photos they take are not sufficient because they still cannot find basic areas on the property. We have repeatedly requested the same technician as originally promised, and those requests have completely fallen on deaf ears. The final straw was our most recent visit. The technician sprayed so much pesticide on our kitchen floor that the entire floor was soaking wet. My mother slipped and fell because of it. Completely careless and unacceptable. After this incident, we called to cancel service due to both the repeated failure to honor their promises and the dangerous negligence of their technician. We were transferred to FOUR different people before finally speaking with someone named Kweegan, who was incredibly rude. He informed us that he would cancel all future appointments but that we would still be charged for every appointment even though they would no longer be coming. This company does not honor its word, does not communicate internally, and clearly does not value customer safety or customer service. I would strongly recommend avoiding GoAptive.

I reached out to Rodent Retreat specifically because they are a local veteran-owned business, not a franchise. The whole team was amazing. I was able to schedule an inspection right away, and the gentleman who came explained different options to humanely remove the raccoon and prevent any other critters (including field mice and roof rats) from getting to the house. Based on the services I selected, they came back several times to repair the eaves, seal up possible points of entry on the roof and around the foundation, set rodent traps in the attic and garage, and sanitize the attic. Everyone I dealt with was incredibly friendly and polite, communication was exceptional, and pricing is very reasonable, especially given the high quality of service. They really went above and beyond. I highly recommend Rodent Retreat!
