Most of the food and ambiance was great and delicious. The crudo wasn't a great cut - a bit chewy. The one thing that really bothered me was their sneaky way of trying to get people to order bottled water that looks like tap, where they charge you $12 for it. It's more the principle vs the cost. Don't do that. read more

We had a great experience at Alisa. Our server Ula was amazing, kind, really great recommendations, attentive to us all night. We had a great experience and we'll be coming back. read more

It was good. A lovely ambiance with a good outdoor patio. I will say - not the best for family style which is surprising for a Greek restaurant. You'll have to order multiples of everything if you're hoping to be full. Both bottles of wine we got were ehhh - which was disappointing given the name. In terms of a good Mediterranean higher end option in the area it is nice to see and there were some standout bites. I'd recommend the spicy feta, tzatziki, a lot of flatbread., wagyu skewers (multiple orders), bluefin tuna, and halloumi. read more

Fan of the cute vibe. My friends and I opted to try a new spot for our monthly dining ritual. A friend has recommended, racing about their delicious shareable food options. The patio vibe was there. However, the food, not so there. We ordered: chicken skewers, Greek salad, hummus trio, fish dish-risoto [the host raved about it.] It was busy, but not as busy. Sadly, our food was half cooked, and fish dish was terrible. The server & host manager did stop by and ask what we thought of the dishes & why we didn't like them. We ended up ordering desserts. Which to our surprise goat cheesecake was delicious. In the end, we must have over stayed that they asked us nicely to leave. Will we come back, big maybe. Maybe if that goat cheesecake stays on their menu. read more

Patio is definitely a nice vibe. Service was good. The food was just ok, especially for the price. Hummus was terrible. Taziki, meatballs, fish, and Waygu skewers were fine, it not anything special. Drinks were extremely small, ice tea was gone in like 4 sips. There are too many other places to try or worth goi g back to before this one unfortunately. read more

My husband and I came here on a whim on a Sunday night after spending the afternoon in Venice. I'd heard about Alisa opening on Abbot Kinney and I love Greek food, so I was curious about trying this place. We got street parking in the neighborhood (which isn't always easy to get). When we arrived, we were seated immediately. Both the interior and the exterior of the restaurant are so beautiful, with an old-world feel. Their outdoor dining was perfect on a late summer evening. Service was friendly and efficient. We never waited very long for anything. At the time we came, I'd seen some bad reviews of the food here so I wasn't sure what to expect, but we loved everything we ordered. For appetizers, we shared the halloumi, flatbread, eggplant and tzatziki dips. All of these were excellent and the dips tasted freshly made. For mains, my husband got the black cod orzo while I had the octopus. The orzo was served in a lobster stock which added a rich and unique flavor to his dish. My octopus came with a carrot puree and parsley aioli which I really liked. It was also a perfect serving size after the amount of appetizers we had. We both had wine and were happy with the orange and white wines we ordered. I loved the dining experience here and am glad to have this addition to Abbot Kinney. read more

Absolutely amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional -- they made us feel truly taken care of. The food was outstanding: beautifully presented, perfectly balanced flavors, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Every dish we tried was delicious, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the kitchen. read more

Had such a lovely dinner at Alisa tonight! Every dish was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. We started with the hummus, smoked tomato, grilled eggplant, grilled halloumi, and warm flatbread--all fantastic. The spanakopita was so incredibly good that we immediately ordered a second one! For our mains, the branzino was perfectly cooked and delicate, while both the beef and chicken skewers were tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. Even though we were completely full, we couldn't resist dessert. We shared two incredible chocolate mousses to cleanse the palate (because why not?) and finished with the frozen Greek yogurt, which was the perfect light, refreshing ending to an outstanding meal. The food, service, and atmosphere made for a truly memorable evening. We can't wait to go back read more

I came here for dinner on Sunday night with my family. We had 7pm reservations. We wanted to sit outside, but it was full. We sat at our table inside, and they were kind enough to move us outside before our entrees came out. The outside is definitely better than the inside. We shared the following: feta with the burnt tomato jam, hummus, flatbread, eggplant dip, Greek salad, branzino, chicken skewers, wagyu sirloin skewers, and dark chocolate mousse with olive oil. Everything was great, including the service. It's on the pricier side, but for Greek food, it's great. I definitely recommend making reservations in advance and requesting outside. read more

First and foremost you have to sit outside because it's so pretty. The service is very good and the hostess was kind enough to switch our table from inside to outside. The food was not amazing and really I gave it a 4/5 for service and aesthetics. We got the hummus, feta, eggplant dip, pita, Greek salad, chicken skewer, sirloin skewer, branzino and chocolate mousse. Everything was good but nothing was great. read more

Was looking forward to trying out this spot, came for a special dinner and was disappointed with the experience. The ambiance was great and the appetizers were delicious. But after when it came to the rest of the meal and the main courses, the service was extremely slow and it took a very long time for the food to come out. When it did come out, it was warm at best, the meatballs were also dry. The server did not check in one time on us and we had to track her down to be able to get our food and pay. read more

We ate here for dinner last night and had such a wonderful experience! My husband and two of our friends sat outside and ordered the following: - spanakopita (absolutely delicious, but only has 2 per order so we each had about 2 small bites per person) - tzatziki (soooo good. The dips don't come with anything to dip them in, so you have to order that on the side. We each got a flatbread and it was amazing) - spicy feta dip (also incredible and went with the flatbread) - Greek salad (probably my least favorite dish, but still wonderful. The feta was great on top! Just felt like it wasn't necessarily worth it for the addition to me) - chicken skewers (SO FREAKING GOOD. Tender and delicious!) - beef and lamb meatballs (a true highlight. There were only 3, so each of us didn't get whole lot, but this was probably one of my FAV dishes!) - wagyu sirloin skewers (soooo tasty. I liked the meatballs and chicken better, but still a true delight!) - grilled branzino (I didn't eat this because I was stuffed, but everyone loved it!) I would 10000% come back. A perfect place to take out of town guests, and both the inside and outside are gorgeous. So glad we finally tried this spot! read more

Wine & Friends & RATS. Do not eat here unless you want your dinner to be complete with a side of gigantic rats. This place should be as ashamed and shut down by the health department. When we confronted the manager about the situation and showed her video evidence of the giant rat running around she played it down like nothing was wrong. Her response was that the exterminator was now going to come weekly. Which tells me that this is an ongoing issue for them, and it has happened in the past. How dare you serve food to people with gargantuan rodents running around. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are plenty of other good places that are SANITARY. read more

Stopped by for a quick bite the other night, The wagyu skewers were perfect and really hit the spot w my skin contact wine- vibes were peak. Service was excellent- Alex and Nico were excellent, very attentive and helpful. 11/10 would highly recommend checking this spot out if you find yourself looking for a great dinner on the west side. read more

The food is good but the main dishes came out cold, which made it suck! Plus the fish smelled so fishy! The place has a really nice ambiance and is clean; it feels like you're in the Mediterranean! Service is awesome, but my like I said - the main dishes were cold! read more

Absolutely loved this spot. Everything we ordered was delicious. The lamb chops were incredibly juicy and cooked perfectly. The eggplant dip leaned a bit more tahini forward than I expected. I was hoping for a stronger eggplant flavor, but it was still very rich and tasty. The spicy feta was outstanding and easily one of my favorite dishes of the night. We finished with the baklava and it was dangerously good. Truly addictive. The ambiance was warm, you feel like a Euro summer, the service was great, and the whole meal felt thoughtfully prepared. Definitely a place I would come back to read more

The ambiance is beautiful and amazing! We just had appetizers and they were good and spritz drinks were so good

We decided to go out tonight and spend an evening together and chose this restaurant since we already love the team's other spot "Mom Please." The atmosphere and interior are beautiful and cozy with a modern Mediterranean style that immediately sets the mood. We were greeted by very friendly and welcoming staff which made the start of the evening feel great. The eggplant dip was delicious with a light smoky flavor not overpowering perfectly balanced and goes amazing with the flatbread. The Greek salad was excellent as well: fresh quality ingredients sweet tomatoes everything crisp and flavorful. The octopus was cooked perfectly and paired with carrot puree it created a truly great combination. The only thing I would point out is that we had to ask for our plates to be cleared and during the whole time no one checked if we wanted to refresh our cocktails. For the price point and style of the restaurant this is something worth improving. Overall beautiful place, great food, and with a bit more attention to service it could be absolutely perfect. read more

I was there last weekend, While they had a cozy patio, i found the tables too close to each other and the place extremely loud. Our servers came to our table maybe twice, and after bringing food he didn't show up anymore till the check. They had a good wine selection, and their fresh flat bread was truly good. The few dishes we had were extremely spicy without any warning. A friend of mine had margarita, and the drink didn't slightly taste or resemble margarita. Very disappointing read more

SUPER cute spot, there's plenty of street parking & they offer valet. We got the spicy feta dip (SO DELICIOUS, I'm still dreaming about it), spanakopita, seabass crudo, lamb skewers and potatoes. Everything was packed with flavor and tasty. They also have an impressive wine list, we had the orange and chilled red. Concluded dinner with the chocolate mousse-super rich, not grainy, just delightful. Service was also great, ambiance is very romantic/also perfect for girls night! read more

I actually was walking by, and stumbled upon this place. What a nice quaint place. Their Mediterranean cuisine made me feel like I was in Greece again. The ambiance was so chill and relaxing. The decor is gorgeous. The service was amazing, from the host to the server, to the busser, everyone was so nice to me. I had a glass of pinot noir with the lamb and cumin skewers (the cumin spice is not overpowering). I recommend the frozen yogurt with pistachios for dessert. DEEEELISH!!! read more

I had dinner here last night and found the food to be super solid. The wine list is extensive with several by-the-glass options. The ambiance of the space is beautiful and thoughtfully designed but I will say toward the end of the evening, it became hard to hear... the acoustics of the space inside make it quite loud. The food itself was pretty good but not the most memorable. My favorite dish was the tuna sashimi. I didn't love the eggplant dip or flatbread. The Wagyu skewer was good. I would go back but am in no dire rush to. read more

I walked past this little treasure with no intentions of going in, but sure enough the tide swayed me towards her doors, I walked into this serene space, feeling at peace immediately. Scanning the room, I lock eyes with the bartender mid-shake, he gives me a welcoming smile. The hostess appeared, kind and well kept. And seeing as I unknowingly stepped into another world, with no plan, I said hi, I don't have a reservation, but i'm here. She said no problem, are you okay seated inside? I said sure! She walked me to my table for two, seated as one on a Wednesday at 6:30pm. The lights were dimmed, the inside was open, white, light, clean, calm, I'm transported to Greece. Before I could take a seat, they didn't let the inside empty chairs fool me, they said, step outside, check out the back, so I did and saw everything and everyone; packed, joyous, couples, families, everyone enjoying themselves and the atmosphere. As if this wasn't an invitation enough to get the ball rolling on my love life. On my return I knew I needed something light and refreshing. The waitress, kind and new, came up to me asking what I wanted to drink. I needed something slightly different, my norm being a cab. So we landed on a chilled red, for a warm day in Socals "winter", of which I cannot remember the name of, something from Norcal. After that I knew I needed more. The anchovies were a must try and the crudo immediately caught my eye. Let me tell you the crudo was exactly what I needed at that moment in time. Cold, fresh, thinly sliced, sauced in a flavor blend I was ready to bottle up and take home with me. The waitress was kind, the sommelier was available and ready, both checking in with me frequently as I enjoyed the experience. I quickly realized I needed a little something more so I took her up on the guidance towards pita and spicy feta dip. The warm soft freshly cooked pita sealed the deal. Closing out my experience with a warm hug and surrender into the blissful abyss. read more

Alisa seemed to be warm, inviting, and exactly what we were hoping for when we chose to dine here. Unfortunately, our overall experience was severely impacted by the service we received from our server, Ornella. My husband and I asked a few very basic questions about the menu, and Ornella was unable to answer them, telling us that she had just returned from vacation and "wasn't sure," though she offered to ask someone else. Her tone throughout the interaction came across as rude, rushed, condescending, and dismissive, which made us feel uncomfortable rather than welcomed. It was disappointing because the setting had so much potential to be a great evening, but the attitude and lack of helpfulness from our server ended up overshadowing everything else. Sadly, it completely took away from what should have been an enjoyable experience. read more

Everything was impeccable! The ambiance, service and food were top tier. The sommelier Matthew was very kind, personable and knowledgeable - he shared great recommendations. Alisa is one of the most aesthetically pleasing restaurants I've been to in Los Angeles. Great for the eye. All the waitstaff were uniformly attired which is indicative of a management that's concerned about presentation. The clientele were all fashionably dressed too. So it was a good looking crowd. I enjoy that. We had the chicken skewers with a tomato and onion salad, scampi and flat bread. Roasted potatoes added to the overall pleasure of a great meal. Service was excellent. My only suggestion would be to eliminate the 4.7% service fee. These extra fees are rearing their ugly heads everywhere and they are tiresome to say the least. The money I spent over and above the cost of the meal that did not end up in my belly quickly adds up. $16 dollar valet fee, 4.7% service fee, 20% tip. Just something to think about. read more

We finally made it to Alisa Wine and Friends. We had tried to walk in before, but they're always busy. I recommend making a reservation. Luckily, we booked a few weeks in advance this time, and it was well worth the wait. The space is cozy and charming, with a white-toned, Santorini-inspired decor that feels both elegant and inviting. Soft lighting from oil lamps adds to the intimate, warm ambiance. The host and wait staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We started with warm, tender flatbread. We chose hummus and eggplant dip, both of which were creamy, smooth, and paired deliciously with the bread. The Greek salad was perfectly executed with ripe, juicy tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, and thick-cut, creamy, salty feta that brought everything together beautifully. The Bluefin tuna was a surprise highlight. It included both the toro (fatty) and lean cuts, showcasing a beautiful balance. The grilled meats were also spot on tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. We enjoyed an incredible bottles of Greek wine (they have a great selection), which elevated the whole experience. We're lucky it's so close to home, and we're already looking forward to going back. read more

What a wonderful experience as we visited LA for the weekend from New York. From start to finish the service, ambiance, and the food was 10 out of 10 . Our waitress was very knowledgeable and very sincere checked on us multiple times , we sat in the back outside, which was very romantic. We started off with a Greek salad and the spanakopita for our starters. For our main dishes we did the black cod with orzo and the Waygu Skewers with Shishido peppers and tzatziki, which was amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly. The flavors were bold and flavorful and smashed a while together, and we ended our dinner with the dark chocolate mousse, which had a bit of sea salt on it and a little bit of olive oil and that was out of this world. I can definitely say this is one of our favorites when we come back to visit on the West Coast. read more

Wow, I genuinely enjoyed the food. The lamb was solid and the halloumi cheese was amazing - perhaps one of the best I have had in Los Angeles. Everything tasted fresh and carefully made. The kitchen clearly knows what it is doing. The decor deserves credit too. It feels authentic but updated. It is warm and modern without trying too hard. You walk in and feel like you might be in the right place. It's small, and really loud so may not be great for a date night. But it's vibey. Service was just ok. It was busy when we arrived and we stood at the door for a few minutes wondering if we were meant to seat ourselves or if we had walked into the wrong spot. Nothing terrible but slightly confusing. Once we were seated the food came quickly and our server was ok. Maybe understaffed that specific day. Ok, so why 4 stars and not 5? The bill arrived and the mood changed. There was an automatic 6 percent "enter something very LA" charge added. The payment screen was lit up on full brightness as she stares at you navigating how to press and sign in the air with default tip options of 22 percent 25 percent and 30 percent. No explanation. No subtlety. No flexibility. It feels like a tactic and it cheapens what was otherwise a genuinely nice meal. I simply do not understand why restaurants do this. Yes maybe you get an extra 10-12% from people who do not want to make a scene. But you lose something bigger. You lose repeat customers. You lose word of mouth. As a normal Los Angelian I would have come back and I would have told friends about it. Instead I will probably do neither. If your food costs more to make then charge more for the dishes. Seriously Just be upfront. Charge more. Do not add layers of percentages and surprise fees at the end. It makes the place feel less confident in what it offers even though the food is excellent. Alisa has the cooking part figured out. Now it just needs to trust itself enough not to nickel and dime people. Great meal. Disappointing finish. read more
