We had such a great time at Kassi! My husband and our friends came last Thursday for drinks and little bites before dinner. The view is amazing and the roof feels like a little oasis - if you couldn't see all of Venice from the top, you'd think you were in the French Riviera at a beach club. The staff were so sweet, and our waitress was amazing. We loved chatting with her! Here is what we ordered: - spanakopita quesadilla - so good! I didn't love the sauce on the side, but I didn't think it needed it. - fried zucchini chips - delicious! The whipped feta on the side was sooo good and I loved how light but flavorful these were. - crispy halloumi - probably my favorite dish of the night! The tomato with the crispy cheese was soooo good. Would definitely get this again!! I ordered the elderflower peach spritz first, and then the sage by the bell. Both were absolutely delicious in their own ways! The spritz was much more sugary, and the sage by the bell was very different and mezcal-forward. I loved it! I also loved being able to valet park - it ended up being cheaper than where our friends parked a few blocks away! And the hotel staff were kind enough to charge our electric car for us while we were there. It was such a pleasant surprise to come back to. Getting to the roof is a little annoying, as you have to wait for an elevator and line up outside. But it really isn't a big deal, and the rest of the experience makes up for it for sure. Can't wait to go back!
Kassi is SO COOL! I went here in 2024 and it was cool then, but being here at sunset is a whole other story. It's beautiful. I would recommend anyone coming to Venice to check this place out. The drinks are good. The mocktails are great. The music was fantastic. VIBES. Straight vibes! Also the people look like models. Everyone there was so shockingly beautiful. 10/10!
The rooftop views of the ocean and Venice Boulevard are absolutely beautiful and make this spot worth visiting. It does get chilly at night, but they have heaters and even provide blankets, which was such a thoughtful touch. The chicken skewers were my favorite, followed by the crudo chips. The tzatziki was just okay, and I felt the flatbread was a little undercooked in the middle. The drinks were good, and I was pleasantly surprised to see they serve Mythos beer. I had just gotten back from Greece, so it was a fun surprise! Overall, I'd definitely come back for the views, atmosphere, and chicken skewers.
Went with a group of 4 girls total, loved the vibe! Service was a little slow because our waiter was servicing a private event but overall fine! The food was DELICIOUS and well priced! We loved the zucchini fries with the whipped garlic feta, the spanakopita quesadilla, and also the chicken skewers. Hummus was delicious as well, but wish it came with the flatbread! Overall would make another reservation here
My friend and I who are birthday twins, down the same birth year convinced me to come here, and so happy I did!! We were seated on the patio right against the edge over looking the amazing view and beach. Food and drinks were amazing. The service was great. Park downstairs in the building, valet is $10 and convenient! The valet guys are so sweet as is the staff in the lobby greeting you to come in. Love the music they play there and standing in the elevator the music starts off the vibe to a great experience. Make sure you make reservations. We got in since it was still early in the day but it is a new place and will get busy!
My out of town friend and I popped in for the golden hour after a beach day in Venice. We saw a long line at the entrance, and after waiting a bit we hear this guy in front of us say the line is to the elevator. If it wasn't for his disabled (high heels) date, I bet he would have done the stairs too. So we hopped the stairs, and were greeted at the rooftop by the staff who said just go ahead, order drinks and any spot you find is yours. We were dressed for the beach day. Very casual. Jersey, shorts and snickers and looked underdressed but there is no dress control as it seems. All cabanas were taken. We found a spot at this large rectangular bar and enjoyed the golden hour. Very dog friendly. Also we saw toddlers in a few cabanas. Can get pretty crowded. Lots of scantily clad girls eyeing guys. And the guys are hoping to take one of these girls home but by the looks of it, seems like most of them are just there to provide free drinks. Next time, would love to reserve a cabana
Another lovely meal at Kassi. Amazing service and hospitality from our Server Danny (what a star!) and Manager Sidney. Both deserve a raise and a reward. Made our entire visit so special. We ordered most of the menu and enjoyed it all. Of course sunset and ocean views were stupendous. Fantastic way to take a break from the heat in LA and enjoy a great meal, curated cocktails and the sea breeze. Best flatbread, skewers and mezze, really delicious. Thanks Kassi crew for a good time, my family from out of town were super impressed.
Came here with a cousin who I hadn't seen in a few years. You can never really go wrong coming to this rooftop, regardless of what name it's currently under. If you're into rooftops,l particularly those that oversee large bodies of water, this cannot be beat. I closed things out with a nice bottle of still water and cuz ordered a few alcoholic drinks. And while we just happened to pop in without a reservation, there was ample room to stand around the perimeter of the flowery garden like thing in the middle. Even when this location was previously known as the High Lounge, or High Lounge Rooftop, they would often feature DJs particularly when the weather was great outside. You would think with the Coachella music festival going on that there would have been ample seats and tons of space to move around, but that was not the case. This place was pretty packed! All in all, another solid outing at this particular rooftop. What staff they did have seem to be buzzing around like super busy bees, tending mostly to those seated with reservation, which is understandable. Without being seated via reservation you'll have to head straight to the bar, minimizing any significant interaction with the staff as a whole, except of course the bartender himself. I would place this rooftop in a top five with regards to So Cal rooftops, and #1 if water is your thing.
The food is amazing, vibes/ambiance is amazing, but the service is lacking. Took us having to track down our server multiple times. We would've ordered more drinks and when we did one of our friends drink was 30/40 minutes after she ordered it. When we asked for the check the server brought the check and the drink at the same time...as we were leaving. She also neglected to remind our party gratuity is included, even when some people from our party asked about how the tip was divided. We want to come back for the food and vibes, just hope the service is better.

Ora King Salmon | Shared | I had been to Kassi before, because of an event, and I knew right away that I would order the Salmon Skewer again, as it was delicious, as well as flavorful! Seasoned with perfection, as well as a delicious lemon-y flavor! Greek Fries | Shared | Thick & flavorful, alongside lemon aioli, za'atar & thyme! We both enjoyed the lemon-y flavor, as it stood out immensely! Zucchini Chips | Shared | I highly recommend, flavor upon flavor, alongside feta & za'atar! Yum! Customer Service | Incredibly attentive, as both of our servers, one in training, checked on our table often! Both were friendly and conversation flowed easily! Though it wasn't cold, it was quite windy, so they offered us each a blanket to keep warm! Super sweet! We were both grateful for the blankets! Upon Arrival | My sister-in-law landed at LAX, had eaten on her flight, but we both decided on a light bite to eat at Kassi, which is on Venice Beach! She dropped off her luggage at my place, and we proceeded to walk up the Venice Boardwalk! I checked online for reservations, and there was only one left, so we just took a chance! We took the elevator to the rooftop and we were seated immediately! Reservations | I highly recommend, as this place can get very busy, as it was tonight, even though it was quite windy! There was a private party, as well as numerous tables filled with excitable guests! Scenery | I had been to the rooftop before when it was another name! The views are absolutely incredible, 360° views, including the oceanfront! Gorgeous at sunset, & spectacularly lit all around at night! Overall | Great customer service, incredible views, all around and memorable bites! I'm grateful that Kassi is near, as it was a great place to take my sister-in-law on her first night in town! Score!
This places is absolutely the cutest! Everything was great, the service, food and drinks. The view and music all such a great vibe. Definitely recommend! We did not have a reservation but luckily the sweet host got us a table. So definitely make a reservation.
This spot has incredible views of Venice Beach and is a fun, party vibe. The drinks are solid and the food is better than expected. I'd come back again with a group!
We came here for a work event, and I was surprisingly impressed with the food here. Usually for a place that has good vibes, good views, you don't really expect the food to be good either, but it actually was!. My favorite bites were the zucchini fries, the flatbread, the chicken skewer, and the taramasalata dip. Service is really great as well, they come and check in on your often!

This places is absolutely the cutest! Everything was great, the service, food and drinks. The view and music all such a great vibe. Definitely recommend! We did not have a reservation but luckily the sweet host got us a table. So definitely make a reservation. read more

A great rooftop, great vibes, good sounds, and ven better drinks... I happened to not get flicks of that because I was in the moment, I also had the cucumbers 7.8 / 10 but after I added some more salt, 8.5 / 10 I believe the only drink I had was the Cadallac Marg 7.8 / 10 but going for the straight Ocho Repo did me better... also the Bottled Still of Aqua Panna. Our waiter was so cool by the way! She is actually the reason for the high rating and I wish I could remember her name right now. read more

Went here for drinks before dinner on Valentine's Day and it was very popular! Probably because it has a great view of the sunset & ocean. We enjoyed our drinks but be sure to wear a coat because it did get pretty windy and chilly up there! I believe the servers will bring you a blanket upon request though. I'd recommend this as a date spot or as a place to bring people visiting from out of town. The views are the best part, and the drinks were solid. My fiancé is very picky on espresso martinis as she only likes the ones with real espresso, and they passed the test. read more

The views during sunset are so magical- it feels as if you escaped Cali and are now in a foreign beach resort. The long passageway feels as if you're walking down a pier. I am glad we stopped by at 530pm it was a beautiful sunset. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive; I made reservations at 6pm on a Friday night. There was a DJ on set which was pretty cool this brought the overall experience and ambience as if it was a party in a beach club. As For the food it is Mediterranean food, we ordered the gem salad ( apples, pine nuts with a creamy sweet and sour dressing), asparagus; served with these creamy yellow / orange sauce, can't describe the taste but it was savory, we also ordered the beef sirloin and honey chx skewers, calamari (1/10 but wish it was a bigger serving size). The drinks were refreshing- I can't recall the names. The parking lots nearby was $20 I don't think the hotel had any valet for the restaurant so this one hurt. read more

This was so much fun! An after dinner dessert. We went to this rooftop restaurant tonight after dinner. It was quite cold outside so they gave us blankets and then when some people under a heater left, they moved us to the outdoor heater area which was really nice! My husband got the "deconstructed baklava" which he said was really good. I didn't want anything because I was too full and a bit cold so I had a cup of hot tea which was perfect for a cold night. Everyone working there was so nice. We are glad we tried it and look forward to eating there again! read more

Kassi Venice Beach, located on the roof top of the Erwin Hotel, will be the TOP of your day in Venice Beach! The food is as wonderful and as beautiful presented as the view! The dishes are meant to be shared the same way as the experience! If you're with a group of friends, a romantic date this or even alone to grab a bite and relax Kassi is the place in Venice to do it! The staff is superb, our server Sophia and floor Mgr. Gavin made us feel like long time friends. Take a day see the beach and enjoy this locals new discovery Kassi Venice Beach! read more

The food is delicious! Don't come here expecting it to be a dining restaurant as it's more for tapas/apps with drinks, the rooftop ocean front views make it worth it which is why I have come back. The portions are small and personal if you're with a big group. The Kassi Beach House in Las Vegas location is more filling where they have their vodka pasta and pizza. read more
Kassi restaurant was amazing! I highly recommend making reservations ahead of time. The dishes are a bit smaller like tapas so there's not any main dishes so I recommend ordering at least 5-6 dishes between two people to share. Everything we did try was really good from the bread to the seafood and meats. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the menu with fresh ingredients. it's rare to find a restaurant in LA that has both a good view and good food and this place didn't disappoint. Ended up going earlier than our reservation and finding a table by the bar. It was busy and we did wait a bit for another group to finish up. Super cute place and lively Got the grapefruit spritz and it was really nice, don't let the black pepper stop you from ordering it, you can't taste it We ordered a bunch of things to split between the three of us- zucchini fries, tomatoes, flat bread, whipped avocado, lamb meatballs and chicken skewer. It was all tasty. The skewers, tomatoes and meatballs were okay. The winner of the meal was the flat bread and whipped avocado. I could've eaten the avocado with a spoon!! Zucchini fries and whipped feta were nice read more

Make a reservation! We saw people being turned away at the door. A few things went well for us when we visited for our anniversary- the view, the gluten free fries (the server was very knowledgeable), and the drinks (good but not especially unique). What I DIDN'T anticipate was how loud it was and the party atmosphere. There was a DJ set up and we were initially seated right in front of the speakers. We were able to move, luckily. I don't know why I expected a quieter, lowkey (aka romantic) vibe on a rooftop bar in Venice- it certainly wasn't that. But it WAS fun and great people watching! read more

Beautiful beautiful view! I've been here on two occasions now, once during the day and once at dinner. Both times I was SO impressed by the food! It's small plates, great for sharing and it's delicious. The zucchini fries are a MUST HAVE. So good The cocktails are also top notch Parking is difficult in this area and the elevator can get a long line (I'd recommend a reservation if coming for dinner) read more

Beautiful rooftop restaurant overlooking Venice! I came here for dinner with my boyfriend during the week, and it was an excellent tasting meal. The whole experience was really nice. We were seated at a cozy table by a heater, and they provided blankets just in case, for extra warmth. Each dish was really tasty. We ordered the salmon crudo chips, the harissa chicken and beef tenderloin skewers, the taramasalata with the flat bread, and the watermelon salad. All so yummy! The crudo chips and the skewers were my favorites. I just wish that it was a bit more food for the price. Each dish was really small. read more
Amazing ambiance - loved the rooftop view! Umbrellas over the cushy seating - divine! Ordered lots of appetizers - calamari, hummus, naan, salads, all good. The tables are very small so I wished they would have spaced out the food - Service was good / I went at lunch time and it wasn't very busy. read more
Parking: Find free street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods and walk a couple blocks. Experience: We made a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival and we had such friendly service the whole night! This is a lovely place for sunset drinks and appetizers! There isn't really a bad view. There were some fun drinks and mocktails on the menu and we ordered the hummus & tzatziki with the flatbread which was so good!! They don't really have a full food menu, so you'll probably want to find a real restaurant for dinner. read more

Parking-is it difficult and only hotel parking and expensive?
There's valet parking next to the hotel however there's several $10 lots right behind closer to the beach. We literally walked 3 minutes from one of those lots to the hotel.
