History
Established in 1987.
Chris Weldy started the business in 1987 as a frame and wheel alignment shop. As time went on he became busy and needed a helping hand. Bob Brainerd was brought in and has been here since 1995. At this time they began repairing and maintaining vehicles for customers, besides just doing alignments. In 2008 Jose Rios joined the business, Ken Downs in 2010, along with Jared Weldy 2012. The shop now does anything you can imagine for repairs on any type of vehicle. We can handle RV's, ATV's, forklifts, cars, trucks, even heavy duty class B trucks. We work on AC, diesel, engine, starting, charging, brakes, transmission, maintenance, suspension, steering, frame straightening, alignment, vehicle electronics, airbag, lighting, aftermarket performance, diagnostics, fabrication, and anything else in between.
Meet the Business Owner: Chris W.
When I was young, I always worked on my bicycles, mini bikes, etc. I even made a chariot out of my dad's lawn mower and a wagon and rode it all over town .When I was about 12, my cousin Steve used to buy cars, he would have his son and I pull the engines and rebuild them. We did several of these vehicles for him. After that, I took a job at Sears. I worked my way up to manager and was the youngest manager of my own department as the bicycle, guns, and skis tech. I was only 16 at this time. When I was 18 I went to Phoenix and attended UTI (Universal Technical Institute) Auto and Diesel. I then began work at Chevrolet in San Clemente and Safe Brakes in Crown Valley which was a very good position for me, until 1979 when I moved to Reno and worked for Reno Frame and Sunshine Service. I came to Sacramento in 1981 and worked for Bob Gamboa for a few years as his frame straightener/Mechanic who I thoroughly enjoyed working for. I worked for a couple others before deciding to open my own shop.
