My intention was simply to have a professional conversation and give you the opportunity to inspect the areas I mentioned. Multiple installers have already pointed out the same issues with visible edges and areas that were not properly tucked. That's not an accusation--it's a quality concern. Then one afternoon I walked into Audio916. Before I had even spoken with Sean, I overheard him talking to another customer who wanted an inexpensive off-brand radio installed. Sean explained that he simply doesn't operate that way. What caught my attention was essentially this: "I only install high-quality equipment. I have a go cart and i wanted my seat to be more comfortable. i removed the upholstery and added a layer of foam. i found a fabric pattern that i liked and started to sew it together to fit the seat in the pattern I wanted. I take the seat and extra fabric to Robert and tell him, i want the same fabric, same pattern BUT i just want it to look like a professional did it. NOT like I did it at home. " i want it to look like a Childs car seat so i can remove the cushion if needed." i showed him the areas that I could not get to contour into the chair and the gaps in the stitching. I even said "I understand that sometimes when i start something it will cost me more money to fix what i do, than to just do it from scratch". he laughed and told me to fix the stitching and make it fit he wanted 187 dollars. i said ok and dropped it off. When i got it back there was no contour to the seat. it looks like he just stretched it over the top and told me to sit in it and fabric would have to stretch. i pointed out the mistakes and he said he would fix it. i said ok and offered to pay him the 190 since i was there, he said it would be an additional 200. basically 400 to cover the seat. he knew the work was garbage. With the work i see on the other pictures, i know that he knows this was garbage. i declined the offer. He asked to split the cost down the middle. We were at a spot where for 400 i would not have dropped it off and he had 30 minutes to an hour of his time invested. He asked to split the cost at 90 then said he would take $80. I didn't want to deal with it anymore so I paid the $80 just to leave. His stitching is fine but......it is what it is. dont let my review discourage you though, he has a ton of great reviews, let my review serve as a warning to make sure he completely understands your request.
