You can see their high quality meats they display in the cold case kind of like a deli (in fact I wouldn't be surprised if this was formerly a deli). You pick chicken, beef or lamb and how you like it (shawarma / wrap, on a plate) and minutes later you are served some absolute deliciousness. If you like Mediterranean food, you will love this place. I say this as someone from SF who enjoys some of the best you can get anywhere. Being first-timers in Chico, we didn't really know where to go but this suggestion showed up as one of the top-ranked places for food. Holy wow! I'm still salivating over the lunch we just had at Ali Baba. I ordered the gyro salad + veggie kebab, my boyfriend got the gyro plate + pita bread. The food came out quickly, and oh-em-gee was it good! I think I was doing the happy food dance throughout the entire meal. The restaurant itself is very no-frills: counter service, maybe 4 table tops, and minimal decor. What an amazing experience with Ali Baba! I did delivery for a Gyro Wrap. I didn't realize how big the gyro wrap is! The wrap was so flavorful with so much meat, it was really satisfying. Delivery through Grub Hub was fast and all my delivery instructions were followed. It makes me want to try more of their menus since they do have Vegan options!
