Wet carne a dada burrito with mole.
    Joe S.

This place is a gem! First time and we be back for sure. So glad to have found this place. The ladies were very accommodating and professional. The place is decorated accordingly and very beautiful. We ordered a wet burrito and chimichanga! Those dishes were delicious and the mole! That was my first time ever having it and the earthy tones and flavor were amazing! Looking forward to our next visit.

    Beautiful art inside and out

First impressions were right on. This is a cute restaurant inside and out. Someone is very handy with paintbrushes and artistic talent. The place was not busy on an early Tuesday evening. The chips and salsa are only free the first time around- you will be charged for additional. We were fine with just the initial amount because the food came promptly. The food was good but not as flavorful as my DH expected. We do plan to return the next time we are in town.

Very good food here, tried the chili rellenos and they did not let me down! Great service and very attentive to making sure my meal was perfect! Will visit again on next time to the area.

Apologize for the clean plate. Couldn't wait to eat it. Was absolutely delicious. Would have licked the plate, but Mom told me that was not right. It was Chili Verde. Sabroso.

The entrance was a bit tough to recognize. In addition, the sign requesting patrons to wait to be seated was absent personnel. The youngster arrived while on the phone taking a reservation. Further delay as she coordinated seating for the large group (showing up on Wednesday, she shared). She mentioned they were slow and said I could select whatever table I liked. I ordered a savory martini and filet mignon, mashed potatoes and French onion soup. Soup arrived with the martini and the two could not have been more oppositely received. The soup exquisite, the martini...nearly undrinkable. But to be fair, I wasn't expecting an overwhelming bell pepper flavor. Black pepper Absolute Vodka was the description. I detest bell peppers. I tried to choke down as much as I could, then decided to give up halfway through. The soup was sublime. A 1/4 inch slice of brown toast under the melted Swiss cheese, the broth and onions delicious. I requested a 6 ounce pour of the Caymus California Cabernet Sauvignon with the steak. It arrived with my meat and potatoes beautifully plated. I'm not sure I wasn't served a sirloin. That filet was the shape of no filet I've ever bought or been served. But it was perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes were sublime - buttery and flavorful. The wine with less tannins than I anticipated- I really enjoyed that. Service was attentive and both the hostess and my server checked on me. My drive back to Sacramento will be pleasant.

We were seated quickly at the bar area where they serve full menu. Waiter was extremely nice and attentive. Good vibes all around. Gave 4 stars due to the prime rib not being the best I've had and the caramelized onions tasted burnt. Raspberry Moscow mule was good but wrong vodka. My fault for not ordering it so no issue. Probably won't come again but cool place to grab a nice steak dinner.

The heat lamps were on in the enclosed area out front and they have cushions for the wrought iron chains and a shelf of blankets for customers to use. Complimentary Chilean bread rolls brought to the table right away with garlic herb butter, salsa verde sauce (chimicuri like) so good, made the old fashioned way with pork fat. Calamari Frito, Cajun seasoning, light and crunchy with a house made tarter sauce (excellent server brought us an additional tarter) Crab stuffed chili Relleno was a creative version of this meal I've eaten dozens of times, feta and a sweet sauce with the rock crab was delicious. Panqueque especial ,chorizo had a little kick but was cooled off by the pineapple and sweetness of the crepe. All baked together with rice, cheese, guac, veggie's on the side, this was a big meal that was packed with a savory mix of flavors,my favorite thing I sampled. Honey shirachi shrimp, jalapeno, bacon, pineapple,on slaw. Big shrimp, big taste in the sauce, excellent appetizer or can be ordered as a full meal. Fort Rock beer on tap ,live music, fun place and I will be back.

I'll reserve judgment on the vegetarian entre options until we have tried more. First try was a bit bland even with ordering extra hot peppers. The vegetarian taco is a nice option, but it really tastes like a tofu scramble in a tortilla. In other words, it is great that there is a vegetarian taco option. It is unfortunate that it feels like an afterthought.

The carpet in particular is somewhat outdated and very dreary. We were seated right away with an evening reservation. Our server was the most delightful, helpful as well as professional person. She definitely made for an enjoyable experience. The menu is nicely broad with some very good and interesting selections. For an appetizer I selected the Alsatian Tarte Flambe. With the description of a "tarte" plus "puffed pastry" I was somewhat surprised when what looked like a flatbread arrived. Although somewhat true to the description I expected something like a cup shaped pastry. It was delicious enough so no complaints over the ingredients and flavor. If anything it tasted a bit top heavy with vinegar, yet still enjoyable. I washed it down with a Schramsberg Prosecco which was a perfect accompaniment. For an entree I choose the Grilled 6oz Petit Tender (medium rare) with asparagus and scalloped potatoes topped by a red wine and berry sauce. It was excellent, flavorful with the meat very tender. I was very pleased. It was an abundant portion so I was quite full after consuming it. My dining companion had the grilled meatloaf with ground filet mignon and pork sausage. It is baked and then grilled. I tried some and it is EPIC. It has to be one of the best meatloaf preparation I ever tasted. Bravo on this dish! We shared a bottle of Tempranillo to accompany it which was perfect. For dessert we shared a nice and refreshing mint chocolate chip ice cream which was generously comped as we were there for a special occasion. Thank you! I would definitely return and try other dishes, although the meatloaf is a must standout. Overall a very good experience.
