We have ordered here twice in two days! We love the Denver and California omelets. The home fries are amazing. Hash browns are great. Awesome biscuits and gravy. We went for the "mega", which is a double order. It is twice as good. We tried both in person ordering and online through door dash ordering. I only wish it was open for dinner. I started off with a hot cup of coffee and it had very good flavor and was fresh, I really would assume that being a mile off the highway most travelers would not stop here. Take time to come to this place, it's great! The waitress is humming a song while she is working which tells me slot about the working conditions here. I ordered the Denver omelet with crispy hash browns and an English muffin, This was a great choice, the flavor was spot on and after 5 or 6 sips of coffee , it was being refilled.The customer service was above and beyond. Undercooked and uncooked food served to my dining companion ,he sarcastically asked to have it put back on grill.All this after Waitress / Manager refused to have uncooked portion replaced citing the cooked portion he had consumed as the basis for that decision! She ( same waitress would not allow us to bring the table conversation to a close and routinely interrupted us in that talk.I subsequently talked to establishment owner who disrespected me by turning the line over to the offensive waitress/Manager rather than offering the resolution to be dealt out by herself. Of course no results yielded by speaking to attitudinally motivated and socially inept people over the telephone.I will stay clear of the restaurant is my statement to the argumentative Manager,I advise all self respecting patrons to follow my lead on this or face regret later! read more

I ordered the Tater Tot bowl with chunks of chicken fried steak and gravy on the side! The tots where perfectly fried not greasy at all. Let's talk about that gravy! Nice and thick and full of flavor. Big portion that could easily be shared. My mom ordered the Jalepeno Scramble. Great portion and full of flavor. Not too spicy but does have a kick. Great little lunch spot. Only 4 min off the I-5 if you are passing through the area during breakfast or lunch. We had some great sandwiches with yummy onion rings and fries. Definitely worth a try. Cute small little cafe. I saw the review of the stuffed cream cheese French toast and decided to give it a try even though the review wasn't good. That was my mistake. It came with "fresh fruit" but the strawberries were so old and soggy i couldn't even pick them up with my fork. My mom got the bowl with sausage and tater tots and that was delicious! Well worth the drive off the freeway! This location is a hidden gem waiting to be found by more people. The location is about a mile off I-5 and well worth the drive. The customer service was warm, friendly and hospitable. The server greeted us with a friendly hello and warm smile (as she did to others who entered). Because we wanted to have a smaller breakfast, my wife and I split the two egg, two bacon and English muffin breakfast. She brought the plate and it was loaded. The server gave us four eggs, four bacon strips a huge mount of potatoes and an English muffin. We left fat and happy. I will make this a stop on my trips through the area. Wow wow wow... their chicken fried steak was AMAZING! Very big piece plus it comes with eggs, a style of potatoes of your choice, and toast! Definitely recommend it. That gravy was delicious. At the end I used a piece of toast to clean the plate. Yeah I was that person! My hubby got the Denver omelette, also came with choice of bread and potato. He added chorizo which added extra goodness. The only thing I didn't like was the coffee. That definitely would be something I wouldn't get again but hey, there's OJ. Our little one got the egg and toast with a side of bacon. The 3 of us ate ALL our food and that means something. Our waitress was really nice and the owner was very sweet. I haven't been to excited to get breakfast at McBrayers since they stopped making real home fries with real potatoes. The new version is really off putting, made from pre-cut frozen potatoes (alot of places do this now I guess to save time and money?). McBrayer's is really the only good good breakfast house around. Hope they look into going back to basics. read more

Since Corning is a small town there's not very many options to choose here. However with that said I have never had a bad meal here. Sometimes the service can be slow when they're mid lunch rush but if you are not rushed, this is a good place to go! Great breakfast and lunch! read more

We came here Sunday for breakfast. What an amazing way to start the day. Good atmosphere, fairly clean, great food. If I one suggestion it would be to take down the light covers and give them a good cleaning. You could see dead insect right above the table. Owner is rude. A real stickler. Our biscuits and gravy were dry and the waitress said let me get you a little more. (waitress is very nice) Then charged us for the gravy she offered us. It's a scam!!! They serve the biscuits dry so you ask for more then they charge you. When we asked the Owen Jodi, why do you serve the biscuits dry and offer more gravy then charge. She said "I'm not required to tell you and you didn't think you were going to get anything for free here did you! And said you can go on yelp or do whatever you want to do. No freebies here. They offered xtra topping on the biscuits and was really kind, then charged again. Like the owner Jodi said "she's not required to tell you she's scamming you" Good Food! Good waitress & waiter! She told us she had another restaurant and she had to fire her crew because they were eating her food and also fired the manager because the manager did not tell her and that is stealing her food.
