We found ourselves in Yuba City area in the early afternoon. Driving through town we came upon Kabob & Gyro Hub thinking we would find a quick bite. We were delighted to find it was a full service restaurant. They have quite a large selection of items on their menu, definitely something to please everyone. We ordered the mint chicken tikka, palak paneer, garlic naan. The mains came with rice. We also had mango lassi and hubby had a hot chai. We sipped on our drinks and nibbled on the naan before the rest of our order was served. The food smelled amazing. We asked for medium heat, but I think it could have had a teeny bit more chili in it. The spicing of each dish was absolutely delicious and well balanced, distinct and not muddied at all. The mint chicken tikka was delicious, the meat very tender. I gleefully wiped any gravy from my plate with the naan, it was so good. Portion size was generous but not overly so. That said, we could have likely been fine ordering the chicken or palak, but my eyes are larger than my tummy and I love tasting all the different flavours. Still, we managed to eat everything. Looking around the large dining space, I noted chafing dishes at the far end, perhaps for special events or luncheon buffet. Our greeter/food server was very sweet and friendly. I would definitely stop in to try something different if we find ourselves in Yuba City again.

Came in for lunch. We saw it driving past so on our way back we decided to swing by to check it out. We had originally thought it was a fast food spot but it was actually a restaurant that you could order takeout or eat in there. We decided to eat in. It was a cute little spot. The menu has a lot of options so it was hard to choose. We ended up getting the chicken masala and the meat combo plate. We also ordered naan bread. It all came out quick and really good portions that we came home with leftovers. Not a bad place to find.

Got all the way home to enjoy my Chicken Platter.. no sauce on the platter at all... no garlic sauce no Brazilian sauce.. that's what make this entire meal come together.. check your order before you leave if you live far away.. very dissapointed

We didn't know what to expect here but the food was fantastic. The exterior of the building is kind of a hole in the wall but the staff was friendly and the flavors were excellent. The owner came out and made sure everything was satisfactory and it was a nice personal note.

Food was delicious and we felt it was appropriately priced. The service is okay girl was friendly enough but it's a quick serve vibe no one really checks in after they bring out the food. I think from the outside you're like ok cool little kabob place but inside it's just awkward. The vibes are just all over the place and it feels kind of lacking in thought/planning. I know other business have previously failed here and I feel like it's partly fault to the lack of esthetic and branding. My two cents... Have happy hour with more small plate options. Big Cafeteria style tables would be so cool here! Ditch those over sized booths they do not go with the industrial vibes of the building. Paint it one color! Get ride of the Mismatched decor Add lots of live plants there ya go... cool trendy vibes! It has so so much potential! I hope you all make it and create a cool space out of it.

We started with the Veggie Pakora which was fried perfectly, not greasy, and highlighted the flavor of the peas, carrots, onions, and cauliflower. Since this was my first time here, I ordered my favorite Indian dishes, and the Star of India versions exceeded my expectations. My boyfriend and I visited The Taj on a night where most of the restaurant was reserved for a big party, so we sat right in the front near the door, but it was perfect! There was music playing from the party so the vibes were great! Every single thing we ordered was also incredible, there was not a single thing that was lacking for us! The samosa chaat is not only delicious, but so colorful and full of flavor. The saag paneer was so creamy and fresh and the lamb biryani was an explosion of flavors perfectly spiced and I loved the pops of color as well. The lamb was so tender and you can tell they really care about cooking the food to perfection here. This restaurant doesn't play around when it comes to flavor and presentation. The food tasted as good as it looked which I really appreciated! The naan was cooked perfectly and the chicken tikka masala (it may have been butter chicken, I don't remember, sorry!) was so flavorful as well. The basmati rice that came on the side was so fluffy and warm! And of course I can never end a meal at an Indian restaurant without an order of gulab jamun. So sweet, soft, and the perfect ending to this incredible meal. And to top it all off, they gave us a box of Indian treats free of charge at the end of the meal! I don't know if they do this every time, but it was such a sweet gesture as I've never tried Indian sweets before. Personally, I didn't enjoy the sweets as much as I hoped I would, but it was so nice of them to give us a box to try. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a fantastic experience with delicious Indian food!

Some of the orders were not correctly prepared. One of the last meals came over 1.5 hours after we ordered it. It was piping hot. We personally ordered butter chicken with rice, veggie pakora with tamarind sauce and mint sauce and garlic naan and the chai tea. The butter chicken was super buttery. Yum. Veggie pakora was good too. Both sauces were good and the mint was nice and spicy. Naan bread was light fluffy and crisp. Chai tea was a small cup (never offered refills) Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. On the one hand...the staff was very attentive and helpful but on the other...could have been a little more attentive to our orders so that more meals could have been received quicker and served hot. Apparently there was another large group of 50 in another part of the restaurant...which is why our food was delaying. Can't speak for some of the other meals served but ours was delicious. Would have rated four stars for the food but service was lacking. Guess we needed to come with a smaller more manageable group.

After a long drive, I was delighted to see a huge tray of fresh jalebi. They have large and small styrofoam containers and you can purchase a variety of sweets by weight. The jalebi is excellent. The first few bites provided a downright transcendent experience, very crispy with just the right mix of runny-sticky sugar syrup. It has that "snacking" quality where you want more for the light crunch and mix of sweet with a teeny bit of tang. The gulab jamun was also very good. Not too dense, not too soggy- in the jamun Goldilocks zone.
