    Mediterranean Veggie Plate

Seems like a small owner-operated business. Person working was nice and welcoming. Probably the best tasting falafel I've had; it was perfectly cooked and had good flavor/spices. Everything on the plate was delicious and complementary. Portion-wise, I would've preferred a few more falafels, even if that meant the price was higher. There was a lot of table seating instead and there's outdoor tables as well. As it is operated by a single person, at least when I visited, the wait can be a bit long even when there wasn't more than a couple other customers. While you may not be able to be in and out quickly, the food seems like it's made to order and very good!

Great experience eating at First Bite. It's a family run establishment that guided me through their menu and gave me their recommendations from what they like and what they like the least. Wally, the owners son, was awesome to talk with. He is very enthusiastic about his family business. They chicken shwarma that I was recommended was 10/10. Absolutely the best post dirt biking meal I could asked for. I will be going there every time I go up there to the motocross tracks near there. 10/10 experience. Food 10/10. And will 10/10 recommend them. The inside had a great diner vibe.

We are driving through town on our way home and looking for somewhere to stop for dinner late on a Sunday night. We walked in and met the entire family that was in the restaurant working. Such kind and welcoming people, made you feel like you were at their home. We ordered a kebab plate, pastrami burger, and a chicken shawarma. Got a side of hummus and cheesecake and baklava for dessert. Everything was amazing. It was all perfectly cooked to order. 10 out of 10. Even the lemonade that my son ordered was fresh made. We'll definitely be back the next time we're driving through town. It's a must visit.

If you're looking for amazing food and genuine hospitality, First Bite is a must-try! I ordered the pastrami burger, and it was hands down one of the best I've had--juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My wife had the chicken shawarma with mint tea, and she couldn't stop talking about how fresh and delicious everything was. What really makes this place special is the owner. He's incredibly friendly and welcoming--the kind of person who makes you feel like you're being taken care of by everyone's dad. You can tell this is a family business that takes pride in both the food and the people they serve. We'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend giving First Bite a try!

Passing through on our way back home to the Bay Area, looked on Yelp and discovered this gem. The chicken shawarma plate was delicious. I don't eat rice they offered to give me extra grilled vegetables which were seasoned and grilled perfectly. The chicken was juicy and full of flavor and the hummus was creamy deliciousness. My husband ordered a wrap and loved it, it was the first time he's had it presented this way. If we lived here we'd be regulars

Amazing food! Owner was very kind. Great options of authentic Middle Eastern food. Large space to dine in with clean tables. Will definitely eat here again!

Ended up having lunch here for my birthday with several colleagues from work. I was given the power to cast the deciding vote, and between Sutter buttes brewery and First bite, the Mediterranean option sounded more appealing. The restaurant is located within a shopping center, so finding the location was easy. The owner was working alone, appearing to be a one-man army. I decided to order a vegetarian plate and a beef kabob plate as appetizers and a lamb wrap as my main course. My colleagues all fell in love with the idea of a chicken shawarma... The food took some time to arrive but was clearly freshly made and tasted fantastic. The hummus was smooth, the falafels were crunchy and the shawarmas were flavorful. The grilled veggies were simply amazing. The silverware provided was small, individually wrapped disposable plastic, and I had to play the role of a freelance server by asking for additional plates. As more customers arrived, it seemed that the owner's spouse and young son stepped in to help. I clearly see a 5 star rating on the restaurant, however i am not one to easily give out 5 stars; this restaurant certainly does not come close to fine dining, The food tasted great, and if the rating was on the taste alone, i would rate a 4.5/5 stars. When factoring the totality of the experience, I see 4 stars as an honest and justified rating. As someone who grew up eating middle eastern cuisine on a regular basis, I can tell you that this food was cooked from the heart. Definitely give the restaurant a try, just allocate some extra time in case they are busy.

Hey Neighbors! Just wanted to share an awesome Mediterranean Restaurant called First Bite on N Beale Rd. Part of me wanted to gate keep this gem, but the better ethical part of me wanted to share this place and help share their amazing food and business. Hole in the wall, great food! Seriously a master of his craft. Be extra patient, as he typically works alone. I recommend ordering the Beef & Lamb kebab plate. Comes with generous amount of food: hummus, rice, and roasted vegetables.

You would never know it's there it's hidden oasis is off of main road quiet secluded and a treasure Beyond any eating place in Marysville It is number one in my book I will be back the food is excellent the service and care is wonderful You can dine indoors big parties call ahead there is outdoor dining also which is very very nice area on a nice cool day don't go there if it's hot If you have a handicap make sure you call ahead so they can move things around Do not bring your dogs here which is a restriction I appalled I do not eat with animals To the owner thank you so much for bringing your food and your culture to our small area it is wonderful God bless you

I felt a bit bad even asking to change it, so I went up to the counter and politely asked the girl at the register if we could add an extra shot to balance it out. The cashier was genuinely nice and sweet; she immediately turned to Trinity and asked if she could do that for us. Instead of a standard professional response, Trinity treated me with an immense amount of rudeness and a terrible attitude. Her hostile tone was completely unprovoked. My sister watched the entire interaction play out and was incredibly upset on my behalf because of how disrespectful Trinity was to me, especially since I was being super polite to begin with.My sister felt compelled to speak with Trinity directly about her behavior right then and there. It is highly disappointing to see such a blatant lack of professionalism in a customer service role. While anyone can have an off day, taking it out on a polite customer and ignoring her own coworker's polite request is unacceptable. It is a cute place with potential, but customer service is everything. I am rating them low because of this experience, and I hope management addresses Trinity's attitude moving forward.

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Maryville (at 1st & D St's), and next to the Chinese "Bok Kai Temple", this longstanding and well known restaurant/saloon/hotel has been in operation dating way back to 1858 when the peak of the gold rush era was thriving in California. Over the years, the upstairs hotel (a.k.a. "The Grand Hotel") was once a brothel amongst various operations before becoming a permanent hotel for guests to stay. Meanwhile the downstairs has served as a full-size bar complete with a ton of American comfort food to choose from on their extensive menu. I came here during the afternoon of Saturday 7/19/2025 at around 4:30pm. Since this was during the 25th annual "Marysville Peach Festival", there was a ton of customers and locals visiting during my visit. Surprisingly, parking was easy to find as I parked directly outside of the building. Once inside, you are immediately drawn to the nostalgic wooden interior. From the looks of it, not much has changed here over the years complete with vintage sepia chandeliers, huge brick ovens, taxidermy displays of various animals, and everything else that represented the wild wild west. Their menu is extensive and has just about all of the stick-to-your-ribs food you can ask for. This includes a ton of appetizers (poppers, fries, mozzarella sticks, etc.) as well as a nice variety of main course entrées that include sandwiches, burgers, salads, steaks, pastas, and much more. And since you're in a saloon, they offer all of the top whiskies, bourbons and brandies as well as a ton of beer on tap. Keep in mind that they are closed on Monday & Tuesday but open for business Wed/Thu and Sunday from 11am-8pm and Fri/Sat from 11am-9pm. After narrowing down what I wanted, I finally settled with their "French Dip" sandwich. This was a traditional and classic sandwich complete with their smoked roast beef w/Swiss cheese & mayonnaise on a hoagie roll with a side of Au Jus sauce. I opted with home fries as my side and a Coke to drink. I also ordered a starter appetizer which was their crispy "Chicken Tenders". Our server was very attentive as my +1 and I sat on a quieter side of the restaurant (near the windows). Total time took around 25 minutes to get our food; not a big deal considering this place was absolutely packed with customers. Overall, my French Dip was delicious and filling. They were generous with the thin sliced roast beef while there was the perfect amount of cheese. The au jus had the right amount of consistency as each bite hit the spot. However, the chicken tenders were just so-so as there was too much breading on the exterior. And considering these were $16.95 for 4 tenders, it was quite a bit on the pricier side. I don't want to knock this place too much but I did see quite a bit of flies by our table. But I do realize that some of these things are beyond their control with as busy as it was. All in all, the "Silver Dollar Saloon" is a good place for small and large gatherings. The service was excellent while we got filled up during our visit. My rating, an above average four stars.
