A hidden middle eastern/ Turkish bakery in spring valley? I've lived here for a while and didn't know this place was in the plaza where wienerschnitzel is. So excited because now I can get my favorite baklavas, Turkish coffee and sweets cravings when I want! I can't wait to go here again and try the coffee. This place is such a hidden gem. What a gem of a bakery. Every item is truly delectable and I felt like I couldn't eat everything I got fast enough. I love that most of the dessert options come with pistachio. But they offer a wide variety of different sweets options. My best friend and I both got a small box each and paid around $15-$20 and it was worth every cent. A younger gal helped us out and presented her a couple favorites of hers for us to take home and none of them disappointed. This bakery is now going to added as a favorite of mine. Its a little out of the way for where I live but I wouldn't mind making the trip. read more

While waiting for my order at ZAD next door, I decided to check this place out and the experience started off perfectly. A woman immediately offered me a sample of a "lady arm" (not what it sounds like, lol). One bite and I was hooked. It pretty much convinced me to grab a box on the spot. I wanted to go big and order everything, but since I'm heading to Hawaii next week, I settled for a small box of mixed goodies instead. Every single piece I tried was amazing. Amazing sweets + amazing customer service by Riva :) she greeted me as soon as I walked into the door and offered me a sample to enjoy while I waited for her to ring up the person before me and answered all my questions I had about different sweets. She recommended the milk soaked baklava (SO GOOD!!) and it may be my new favorite along with znood el sit (lady arms is what she also called them). Each time we are at a restaurant in the same strip mall, we end up here. They have lovely treats! I love baklava and they have a great assortment of baklava as well as other treats to try. It is all fresh and nice and crispy. I love pistachio baklava the most and they have plenty of options. We always end up with at least a pound to go and eat it over a few days. Went to pick up some dessert on a Saturday afternoon and had such great service! First on the phone we spoke with Aflen and she was so sweet and assisted us with our phone order. During pick up, which was quite busy, we were helped by Zahra and she was so sweet and helpful as well! She nicely packed up our lady finger dessert and mixed Kunafa so it was ready for our potluck. Best place in the west coast for middle eastern desserts! They have the best Warbat (similar to baklava but with a delicious cream cheese/custard filling). We accidentally discovered this place because we really wanted to try more knefeh dessert at different places. Turned out there are soo many variations of this middle eastern dessert. At Alhamdani, they call it kunafa. It was pretty good, but we actually found out about other desserts that are even tastier. We fell in love with the lady fingers dessert. Every time we went, they'd treat us one of lady fingers and they were warm, crispy and creamy. It became our favorite at this desert place. Last time, we ended up taking home with lots of lady fingers - simply because one just wasn't enough. LOL. We also loved many of other desserts that are similar to baklava. This dessert place is definitely a hidden gem and we always have so much fun driving 30 mins there and bringing home so many different desserts . Btw, their prices are reasonable, compared to some other fancy Middle Eastern dessert places somewhere else. Highly recommended! read more

I really don't recommend anyone go to that place, it's the worst sweet that I ever tasted and had in my life, I sent my son to get some baklava and other mixed sweets, he drove like around 40 miles away from my home and when he got home and I grabbed one of the baklava it's the shape only of baklava but the taste was so bad, it was chewy like you eating bread and I my wife grab one of the Burma filled with pistachio and once she took a bite, she threw it in the trash, I called the store complaining about my order and ask for return and get my money back, the manager ask me to bring the order back to the store and ge store credit and no refund besides she was very rude and disrespectful and hung up on me. I do not recommend this place for anyone because the customer service, the quality of the sweets they have and their attitude. I would rate that place zero star read more

Once I saw they offered a Tokyo Banana Latte during the bakery cafe hours, it was a no brainer to come back the next morning for breakfast. ASA was easy to find. The line was almost to the door when we arrived, but it moved at a fair pace. They offer a good variety of pastries, matchas, coffees, baguettes, and even some lunch sandwiches. I also love that they stay open later than your typical bakery, so it's a nice option whether you want breakfast, an afternoon coffee, or something later in the day. You select your pastries cafeteria style before ordering your drinks at the register. We got two baguettes, the Spicy Sausage and the Caviar. Both had that crispy, slightly harder baguette texture that gave them a really nice crunch. The Spicy Sausage had a good amount of heat with a savory, meaty filling that paired really well with the bread. If you like fish roe, I definitely recommend the Caviar Baguette. It was buttery with that rich salty umami flavor you get from fish roe without tasting overly fishy. For drinks, we tried two of the seasonal lattes advertised on flyers throughout the bakery, the Blueberry Muffin Latte and of course the Tokyo Banana Latte. These were easily the highlights of our visit. The Blueberry Muffin Latte had a delicate blueberry flavor with a delicious creamy topping that actually reminded me of a blueberry pastry. The Tokyo Banana Latte had a thick, rich banana cream on top with a slightly salty finish sprinkled over it. The banana flavor was noticeable without being artificial or overly sweet. I was reffered by a friend to this sweet location in spring valley and was amazed from all the sweets. Amazing customer service as soon as I entered I forgot my face mask and the lady was so polite to provide one for me . They have a lot of different Arabic sweets and will definitely recommend this location. They were so nice to even let me try before buying the sweet which was excellent. I definitely had to support this business and all all their sweets were definitely fresh . My favorite was the lady sweet I think that's what it was called the first option when you enter on your right side . They were limiting the capacity of how many people could enter and were following the covid 19 procedures. They will make you feel welcomed and worth the shot for some Arabic sweets. read more

I had the absolute worst experience at this baklava shop. The moment I walked in, I was hit with a disgusting smell that I can only describe as a mix of old grease and stale air. The sweets themselves? Absolutely terrible. The baklava tasted horrible dry, tasteless, and way too old, as if it had been sitting in a fridge for weeks. It was so bad I couldn't finish a single piece. To make matters worse, the workers weren't even wearing gloves while handling the pastries, which is just unsanitary. And there were flies in the shop can you imagine? I noticed the cakes were sprayed with water to try and make them look fresh, but it was obvious it was just a desperate attempt to salvage them. Instead, they made my mom wait another 30 minutes just to get the desserts--and even then, the order was incorrect. I had ordered 10 cups of kishkish, but they only gave 8. When I called to ask, they initially insisted they gave 10. I had to FaceTime them to show proof because they were accusing me of lying. Then they changed their story and said they gave 8 larger cups instead. My husband returned an hour later to pick up the cakes while guests were waiting--very embarrassing. The cakes we finally received had different fillings than what I originally ordered, but at that point we had no choice. Throughout this entire experience, the staff was rude and dismissive. Not once did anyone apologize or take responsibility. They made it seem like the mistake was ours. I would strongly advise against ordering from here for any special occasion. We opted for a pork tamal in red and a chicken tamal in red. Let me tell you, that was one of THE BEST tamales I have had in years!! Mind you I make my own tamales for my family. The dough is soft and moist, the salsa used is spicy but not over the top, and the flavoring in the masa itself was stupendous. And then to top it off, I saw these in house made ham tortas.
