I really liked the Mexican cheese cake. It cost $1.25. The owner was really nice and courteous.

Absolutely a must-try! I also tried the carnitas croissant when it first joined the menu, and it was okay, but the bibimbap is the one I'd order again. The mini croissants are adorable and absolutely delicious. Both the minis and the signature croissant are so light and airy! Highly recommend grabbing the minis if they're available because they do sell out. When they're gone, I happily default to the full-size signature croissant. If you have a sweet tooth, the s'mores croissant is another must. They torch the handmade marshmallow right in front of you, so you get to watch it melt before digging in. Such a fun presentation! The iced coconut cream latte is small but tasty and on the sweeter side, so a good choice if you like sweet coffee. Personally, the pastries and treats are what keep me coming back. Service:We've gotten lucky with fairly short lines on our weekend visits. On our first visit, a Saturday, the owner stopped by each table to ask how everyone liked their food and hear their thoughts. That personal touch really stayed with me. You can tell how much care goes into this place! Ambience:Lots of seating, both indoors and outdoors, plus live music on Saturdays! It's a lovely spot to sit and enjoy your pastries. I live nearby and walk over, so I can't speak to the parking. An easy five stars and a must-try when you're in San Diego!

If you want to have an amazing dessert experience this is the place! There is another location north of this location about a 7-minute drive but there are not as many tables. The same inventory but the parking is even more limited. The ordering workflow can be confusing at this location but here's how it works. The line on the left lets you view the dessert display that line will get you to the cashier but patrons think the line starts at the cashier. It does not, it can be confusing. I recommend having one person in your party stand in line near the register and have another party stand in line near the dessert display case on the left side. Swap places with your party if they want a better visual of the desserts. The coffee, tea and lemonade are good here, just be patient with your order it's a process here but the wait is worth it. This was not our first time visiting Extraordinary Desserts, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Sadly, every time we come back, the service seems to get worse. For a place that is supposed to be about enjoying beautiful desserts and having a nice experience, the quality of the service completely ruined our visit. Service, attention, and hospitality were all a zero.

Super cutesy vibe and pretty delicate desserts. Almost reminds me of Nothing Bundt Cake interior with merch, candles, gifts, flowers. I got the earl gray lavender cupcake and black sesame matcha Hojicha drink and lychee hibiscus tea drink. The cupcake was moist, not too sweet, had some grittiness to it from the seeds. We ordered a bunch of desserts to share at work so I got to sample a good selection. Pricing is in line with other fancy dessert places. Presentation is beautiful. Some items were to my taste, others not so much. Creme brulee cheesecake - The brulee is very slight, not enough to form a sugar top or anything. More just like a good slice of cheesecake. Cookie - This was my favorite, strong vanilla flavor from the icing, a pretty densely baked cookie. Very large, worth the $4.50 in my opinion. Carrot cake tres leches - Not for me, the cinnamon was overpowering and I would've liked to taste more of the other spices. Pandan cake - The texture is slightly different, almost bouncy like some tapioca or rice flour was used. The pandan flavor is very present; I enjoyed it, reminiscent of some Southeast Asian desserts. A bit on the sweet side. Mango cupcake - Very delicate whipped frosting, overall good but nothing standout to me Passion fruit tart - Very good. Can be a bit sweet for some, I think some of my coworkers didn't enjoy the gritty sugar in the center filling, but I thought the flavor was excellent. Coconut cake - Also not very popular among my coworkers; for me it was a little sweet but also a little one note. Not my favorite. Hojicha cheesecake - Good! Strong tea flavor which balances out the sweetness, and possibly the most unique flavor out of all the desserts. If I were to return here for something, it would be for this. Pavlova - The eggy smell is too strong. Least popular item among my coworkers. The custard inside is decent and the dessert itself is beautiful, more of an instagram dessert.

It's a small little place with a few tables outside its doors - still within the store. We came on a random weekday afternoon and it looked like most things were in stock. There were still quite a few people who were in and out. I brought home some pastries and my whole family loved everything! They said everything wasn't so sweet, which is a very good thing for when coming from Asian adults. I concur, the pastries weren't too sweet and the fillings/cremes were generous. I love pastries with filling and all of the ones I got did. I really enjoyed my selection. My favorite from most to least was: crème brûlée, pistachio, mango, almond, and fig. They were very close in ranking though. None of them were disappointing! Only thing was it was a bit pricey, but what isn't anymore... I would highly recommend.

It's an absolute staple of what makes exploring the Village so special. It's packed with unique home goods, chic trinkets, and aesthetic lifestyle items. Be sure to wander all the way to the back shelves--there are so many hidden gems worth taking home! The staff upfront and on the floor were incredibly warm, welcoming, and happy to chat while you browse. As you head toward the back, the space opens up into a dream of a café. One of the cutest touches is being able to actually watch the bakers rolling out fresh dough and crafting pastries right before your eyes. The smell of rich espresso and buttery pastry crust filling the air is irresistible. I grabbed a coffee and a fresh pastry, waited a short bit for a table on the patio, and pulled out my journal. Listening to the ambient music and ocean breeze in the courtyard while writing was pure heaven. Whether you're stopping in to shop for home decor, grab a top-tier espresso, or just soak in the slow, luxurious rhythm of La Jolla, this place is perfection.

If you're waiting in line or making the trip out, I'd highly recommend adding a cake or pastry to your order. We came on Saturday around 11:30am and there was a line outside that took about 30 minutes to get in. While we were waiting, we saw parking enforcement come around a few times so make sure that you pay the meter! The inside is soo cute! We ended up staying here for a bit and studying because it was super spacious and cozy. There is a lot of seating in the front and back and even outside too! A lot of people were there working as well. There are plenty of outlets available so that was nice. If you do plan on studying/working, just bring noise cancelling headphones cuz it does get loud. The biscoff matcha latte was pretty sweet and the matcha flavor was not that strong but it was definitely a dessert more than a drink. Their cakes are pretty great too, I don't like cake but their cakes are worth trying. I liked the banana dessert the best though, it was like a banana pudding. My bf did say it was too sweet and he has a big sweet tooth, but I preferred that over the cake!
