The installation was straightforward, and the unit performed reliably for 7-10 years before needing a new spark arrestor. They carry replacement parts and walked me through the installation over the phone since I'm fairly handy. It was an easy fix. They also offer on-site service if needed, which is reassuring. Alfresco is great! A few years ago we purchased a house with a built-in patio heater that required a bit of servicing. After talking with their knowledgable service department I shipped my heater to them for repair. It was promptly returned and as good as new! More recently I noticed the flame on my heater was not burning as clean as it should. After a quick chain of emails, Randy provided me with not only step-by-step instruction on how to fix the suspected problem myself but also gave me pointers as to how to prevent that problem in the future. Craig (son-in-law) had some questions but Eric really didn't want to answer them. Craig was totally put off by Eric's attitude and didn't order the heater. Craig will buy it from a company that actually care about their customers. I have bought a heater from Alfresco for my outdoor bar, but I will never do business with them again. Big disappointment. We just had two heaters installed at our home by Alfresco and I could not be happier with the quality of service and product. Service: Randy at was the best contractor I have EVER had the pleasure of working with. He made the installation happen on such short notice, everything went as planned and was extremely professional. Products: We replaced our two pyramid tower heater with two professional grade "mushroom" type heaters. While not the cheapest option you definitely get what you pay for with these guys. I have had a couple of Patio Comfort heater which I previously bought from them several years ago and they have performed well. You can buy the cheap Costco ones but expect them to last about 2 years. Alfresco product line is far superior. Recently one of them failed to light and needed a new pilot assembly. I was initially going to dump it and get a new one but they sent out a tech (I think Robert, very nice guy) who fixed it right at my house and assembled the two new ones which I had also purchased. Very quick and great service! I have fixed them myself and they will sell you the parts if you want to "do it yourself" but as I was busy and had guest coming so they took care of it. The IR Energy Even Glo is a remarkable product. Well made and should last. I suspect because the product was made for commercial use the assembly instructions were not 100% accurate. Alfresco Heating was amazing. I ordered a Sun Glo Natual Gas Heater and they shipped it out right away. What made this order so good was that I had a special need to connect into a large gas pipe. Alfresco had me talk with one of their technical support team members and they tossed in the connectors I needed at no charge. When the base showed up it looked like it was dropped by the shipper.
