He ran through and checked all our fuse boxes, connections, checked all nearby outlets, and then ran outside and found the last remaining circuit box outside which I had forgotten about. He ran through everything in the house, and also ended up switching out an old outlet that was too loose to plug anything into. Talk about persistent, efficient, and having the willingness to find and repair the problem. He's responsive, good at finding the problem, and not overcharging for his work. Boyes was the third quote we got, and the amount was fair and accurately estimated the cost for the job at hand. Sal, who was our account person, came out to the house and gave it a thorough walk through. He was very knowledgeable about what was needed and made a few very helpful suggestions about adding lights, telling us what was required versus optional. As a woman, I sometimes have had experiences where I felt I was being overcharged or up-sold unnecessary products or services. I NEVER felt that way with Sal or any member of his team. The guys who came to do the work were prompt, did a good job communicating the process and timeline, and the job was completed on time (two weeks) and on budget. Neri was particularly helpful day to day and quickly brought any unanticipated issues to us for discussion and approval. Every member of the team were respectful, very friendly and pleasant, and were careful with our home and its contents. Even though it is a somewhat messy job, they did a great job cleaning up and patching the holes that were required to run the new electrical. (For those getting this work done, know that many companies don't rough patch the holes that are required; Boyes closes all holes and leaves it in a state where only sanding and painting is then required.) I will use Boyes again if another electrical issue comes up. They were great!

They took the time to answer questions, explain the work being performed, and ensure everything was completed correctly. What impressed me most was their responsiveness and attention to detail. Communication was prompt throughout the process, scheduling was straightforward, and the work was completed efficiently. The crew treated my home with respect, kept the work area clean, and thoroughly cleaned up when the job was finished. Their pricing was fair and reasonable, especially considering the quality of workmanship and service provided. It's becoming increasingly rare to find contractors who consistently deliver on all fronts, but Boyes Electric exceeded my expectations every time. I would not hesitate to use them again for future electrical projects and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, professional, and customer-focused electrical contractor. If you're looking for top-notch electrical work backed by excellent service, Boyes Electric is an easy five-star recommendation.

Geoff quickly identified problems at the service connection where the utility power enters the house, repaired the loose connections and grounding issue, and carefully checked the main panel and subpanel. After his repairs, the voltage immediately stabilized around 121-123 volts, even with the microwave running under load. The lights stopped dimming, the stove stopped resetting, and the microwave began operating normally again. Geoff is clearly a highly experienced, old-school electrician who knows his trade inside and out. He was thorough, straightforward, and focused on fixing the actual problem. Our house is roughly 1700 sq. ft., and for all the rewiring and adding circuits, they made just one hole that needed to be patched(which they patched up themselves). One more note: We've lived in this house for almost 20 years, and were sort of nervous about the impact of having this project under way with ourselves and all of our belongings in here.
