I was looking forward to my meal here based on the reviews for the gyro. For those that think this is the best they've had, I would say they need to get out a little further than Mchenry. This gyro was good, not great. The tzatziki.sauce wa lbs fair. It may have be homemade but failed on comparison to a place in libertyville and also one in Lake Zurich just to name a few that are not too far away. The fries were the skinny fries and were hot along with the rest of the plate. The pita was fresh and hot. My Dr.Pepper was calibrated well and overall I'm happy with the meal, but let's keep this in perspective. I would come back for this or to try something different.

My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place they never cease to have made me with how much they give for food I love this place so much!

My trip back. Nice burnt hockey puck

My food the first time I went in. Ordered a burger I get a bun w some tomatoes and pickles. I call. He says come back in you want a new one. Well duh. Or a credit. No a new one. I go back in get home and I get a burnt hockey puck of a burger. Just disgusting. Don't eat here. You don't serve a customer food that looks like that. He didn't know that when he cooked it snd served it. Place is dirty and disgusting. One worker not masking. I think a older delivery guy.

Been going to this place since I was a kid. Great food and Pete is a legend there. Go when it is busy and be amazed at how he can memorize everyone's orders to perfection. Had been 15 years since the last time I was here and it still is just as good as I remember - Pete is still here too

There's just something about this place that reminds me of a quick, greasy, delicious place in New York City. Their food is great, but they almost have an "I-don't-give-a-crap" attitude: the store hasn't been updated since what looks like the '70s and the staff are never friendly (never rude, but they don't sweet talk you). I would probably hate these attributes in a lot of restaurants, but here, I think it really works for them. My favorite thing to get is the gyro plate: two pitas, lots of meat, tomatoes, onions and cilantro, and tzatziki sauce, plus a small fry for just $7. Most of their prices are reasonable. Some things on the menu are surprisingly expensive, but you can definitely get out of there for under $10 a person. They have tables inside, they have tables outside, and they take MasterCard and Visa. We usually get our stuff to go. You can order when you get there and be out in about five minutes, but if you're really in a rush you can call ahead. They deliver too!

Good food... better than Tommy's. The fries are crisped to perfection. The gyro is packed full... ask for extra sauce.

They are quick and to the point, but food is good and prices are solid. I enjoy stopping by for a burger every so often!

Everything was great about this place and the hype is legit!…read more First off, the parking is great! A nice big free lot across the street. No need to find street parking. We walked in on a lazy Sunday post the lunch rush, around 2. I forget what burger I got, but it did not disappoint. Everyone who has said I need to check it out was tight. It was very good. The burger was flavorful and juicy. The toppings were fresh and the fries were tasty. Everything was great! I returned with my burger club and most guys liked it however, some got the burgers that had so much going on that your taste buds are in over drive. Just stick with a build your own burger and avoid all the crazy toppings and you'll love it.

We were in the area strawberry picking and wanted to find a local place for lunch. Based on Google…read morereviews, we chose DC Cobb's. I'm glad we didn't skip this place based on the Yelp reviews. The restaurant is in the heart of downtown McHenry and next to the river. I highly recommend sitting in the enclosed patio. It's spacious, full of tvs, and has a nice view of the river. You can tell based on the menu and confirmed by our server, burgers are their thing. All kinds including beef, bison, chicken, turkey, veggie and fish, some choices are an up charge. The burgers come with a side, some have an up charge. Our server mentioned everything is made in-house. I feel it's a rarity of restaurants to made their food in-house so it made me excited for the food. Everything is reasonably price. I opted for the BFM burger and pickle chips ($2 up charge). The burger was juicy and well cooked. Their burgers are 1/2 lbs so it was big. The pickle chips were crunchy and really good. Portion was huge and worth the up charge. My lunch partner chose Cajun fries and they were crispy and flavorful. Our server was great! She was so nice! One negative, they allow dogs and many people brought their dogs. Since the space is enclosed, I did not like all the dogs while I was eating. It was tricky leaving since the hostess stand is located in the tight entrance and there was a dog right in the doorway. My lunch companion is deathly allergic to dogs. Luckily this dog owner was considerate and moved their dog so we could pass. Other than all the dogs, we enjoyed our meal and would come again.

Well it's Culver's, so the person taking your order was helpful and efficient. I usually get their…read moreburger basket because I can never decide on trying something else but honestly the last visit was kinda a more greasy burger and fries were not hot so I decided to try the 10 piece shrimp dinner. It was Friday and I had a totally FRY-day. I also got a small drink and it was over $20. Which I found to be pretty excessive for a fast food chain. That is my only complaint. The shrimp was good, kinda standard fried shrimp and there were 10 pieces to I did not go hungry. The Cole slaw, which I'm usually not expecting to like anywhere, was surprisingly good. The fries, again, could have been hotter. This Culver's is always clean and efficient. I'm only grousing about the prices. It may be fast food and decent tastes but it's take your money and all of it fast also. But that's my primary complaint nowadays. Even so I came out with about the same cost of a similar meal at a bar restaurant.

I'm sorry. Culvers, what happened to you? I know you have…read morealways been more expensive than all of the other fast food joints but it's always been worth it until now. This isn't a review about the food. The food is always great. My wife always gets the shrimp dinner and I always get the cod dinner. They are both always awesome! I don't know if I just got complacent and just never paid attention to the pricing but my god. I looked at the menu board and seen the three piece cod dinner was $20.45. Both my wife and I had surgery and haven't been here in a couple of months, I could have swore it used to be in the $13 range for the two piece and $16 range for the three piece cod dinners. The two piece is over $16 now. We walked out. I can't in my right mind pay this kind of money for a couple pieces of fish at a fast food joint. My picture is from a previous visit. They have great food but I can't afford it anymore.

Steak ’n Shake - This place is gross, they always get the order wrong and the workers are extremely rude. I do not recommend going the this Steak 'n Shake.

The staff was friendly and they kept up really well as they were all teenagers, especially one guy with braces who greeted us enthusiastically as we walked in, great team as a whole. My food came out surprisingly fast, and a young woman delivered it with so much kindness. The total bill felt like a steal for cooked-to-order food. Overall a great experience. A lot of people in these reviews treat it as it were a 5 star restaurant. This is a fast-food restaurant with little to no interaction with workers who do their best every single day and have to deal with Karen's. Great job, keep it up Steak n' Shake!

I ordered a triple cheeseburger, fries, and a strawberry milkshake. Right from the start, things felt off. The place looked seriously understaffed--maybe two employees working--and it was uncomfortably warm inside. Then came the food. The triple cheeseburger was nothing like I remembered. Instead of that classic Steak 'n Shake flavor, it tasted more like a salty, slightly dry Wendy's burger. For over $10, I expected a whole lot better. The fries? Supposedly the famous old-school fries. They were dry, underseasoned, and honestly forgettable. So much for all the hype. Back in the late '90s, I'd go out of my way for Steak 'n Shake. It was actually worth the trip. Now? It feels like they're living off their reputation while serving a completely different product. The one bright spot was the strawberry milkshake. It was thick, tasty, and the large size was actually generous. Hopefully this was just a one-time bad experience, but based on this visit, I regret coming back--and I don't see myself making another trip anytime soon.
