What a great experience top to bottom…read more I was in town for less than 24 hours for a wedding. I quickly and easily booked a hair and makeup appointment online two days before I arrived. First win. Then I woke up to an email from the airline saying the flight was delayed an hour. Then another two hours. I called and left a voicemail as soon as I could before they were open. I told them I would probably miss both appointments if they kept delaying my flight. When it was confirmed that we would indeed take off I called them back to let them know I could probably make the makeup appointment if they could push it back and find a friend from the wedding to take my hair appointment. The lady at the front desk was super understanding and happy to switch out another wedding guest to take my place for a blow out. I made it in time to get my makeup done by Liza. She was so sweet and so professional. I only wear foundation and have lash extensions. I don't know how to put on eye makeup. I had a bright blue dress and she put in pops of blue. It was so fun and I felt fabulous! The customer service, understanding of my travel delays and final product were all so amazing. I'd come back in a heartbeat next time I have a wedding in Boston!

When I was explaining how I was not available to speak another time this week because I work 12 hour days they hung up on me. I would not recommend getting your haircut here. Terrible Experience--Avoid at All Costs! If you want a…read moreprofessional, look in the exact opposite direction. This was hands-down the worst service experience of my life. I booked a week in advance for a red carpet event, but instead of professional work, I got absolute incompetence and utter disrespect. She spent over an hour fumbling through my makeup while I literally had to instruct her step-by-step. She didn't even know how to do eyeliner, forcing me into an awkward, flat-on-my-back position just to attempt it, and then completely skipped my lips. When it came to my hair, she wasted 45 minutes making rude, judgmental comments and blamed me for sending a blonde reference photo a week prior--even though she had given it a thumbs-up and never asked for changes. After dragging the appointment past the two-hour mark (well over her promised 1.5-hour maximum), I had to finish my own lipstick in a rush and leave for my event with my lips undone. She overcharges, lies, lacks basic skills, and treats clients like garbage. Do not waste your hard-earned money here. Negative 100/10.

One thing that keeps me coming back is that they prioritize the health of my hair. I've been to other salons where they'll just do what you ask for, even if it leaves your hair completely fried. Here, they're actually looking out for your hair in the long run. They're honest about what my hair can handle and always work with me to find a compromise that still gets me a result I love without destroying my hair in the process. I usually see Olti and he's seriously a perfectionist when it comes to cutting hair. He'll spend as much time as he needs making sure everything is exactly right, and I love that about him. Everyone else is just as amazing, from the best scalp massages to the blowouts. They're all so sweet and somehow remember little things I've told them months ago, which makes it feel so much more personal. I never want to go out anymore or even go to work with my hair loss as I was embarrassed and ashamed. In looking for a solution, I came across The Salon at 10 Newbury. I started with a virtual consultation with the owner, Patricia Wrixon. Pat was INCREDIBLE and was so understanding and supportive! I booked an appointment and because I live more than 6 hours away, she booked me on a Thursday morning, allowing us more than enough time to find the correct hair piece, overnight ship it, color and highlight on Friday and cut and blend with my bio hair Saturday along with teaching me all about the care of Follea hair pieces. Living so far away, Ashley (Office Manager) and Sara answered endless questions and emails. They ensured our trip was pure perfection. When we entered the Salon, the staff is amazing at Covid precautions as well as assuring you are seen in a private space due to the emotions of hair loss. We were offered coffee, americano, espresso, water and were catered to like royalty. Pat even helped us find the most amazing place to have dinner that evening! I am deathly afraid of going bald and the texture of my hair has drastically changed. Because of this, my husband and I decided I would purchase a Follea topper and a Follea wig that match; therefore I can wear whichever I am more comfortable in at the moment and no one will be the wiser! Not only did Pat not oversell, she was quick to point out that we did not have to decide that moment. By purchasing two pieces, it never dawned on me this meant twice the amount of work for Pat, the amazing guru of color, Michelle, and the fantastic hair cut/blend Agi!!And yet, they ensured that we had everything including education before we left on Saturday and had both pieces that match perfectly!! The pictures below are the follea topper. I am over the moon about how this blends and cannot say enough about this salon. They are not just helping you feel beautiful again, they are helping to give you back your life. Do not hesitate to make your appointment today. You will NOT be disappointed!!!
