First win. Then I woke up to an email from the airline saying the flight was delayed an hour. Then another two hours. I called and left a voicemail as soon as I could before they were open. I told them I would probably miss both appointments if they kept delaying my flight. When it was confirmed that we would indeed take off I called them back to let them know I could probably make the makeup appointment if they could push it back and find a friend from the wedding to take my hair appointment. The lady at the front desk was super understanding and happy to switch out another wedding guest to take my place for a blow out. I made it in time to get my makeup done by Liza. She was so sweet and so professional. I only wear foundation and have lash extensions. I don't know how to put on eye makeup. I had a bright blue dress and she put in pops of blue. When it came to my hair, she wasted 45 minutes making rude, judgmental comments and blamed me for sending a blonde reference photo a week prior--even though she had given it a thumbs-up and never asked for changes. After dragging the appointment past the two-hour mark (well over her promised 1.5-hour maximum), I had to finish my own lipstick in a rush and leave for my event with my lips undone. I started with a virtual consultation with the owner, Patricia Wrixon. Pat was INCREDIBLE and was so understanding and supportive! I booked an appointment and because I live more than 6 hours away, she booked me on a Thursday morning, allowing us more than enough time to find the correct hair piece, overnight ship it, color and highlight on Friday and cut and blend with my bio hair Saturday along with teaching me all about the care of Follea hair pieces. Living so far away, Ashley (Office Manager) and Sara answered endless questions and emails. They ensured our trip was pure perfection. When we entered the Salon, the staff is amazing at Covid precautions as well as assuring you are seen in a private space due to the emotions of hair loss. We were offered coffee, americano, espresso, water and were catered to like royalty. Pat even helped us find the most amazing place to have dinner that evening! I am deathly afraid of going bald and the texture of my hair has drastically changed. Because of this, my husband and I decided I would purchase a Follea topper and a Follea wig that match; therefore I can wear whichever I am more comfortable in at the moment and no one will be the wiser! Not only did Pat not oversell, she was quick to point out that we did not have to decide that moment.
