He put so much attention into my hair, specific issues, how it had been colored in the past, and I ended up with what I think is the best color I've ever had! My 20 year old daughter was with me and she agreed. Really beautiful highlights, toner, and treatment for my damaged hair. The cut was equally great. It's always nerve wracking to find a hair stylist in a new city and trust that it's going to work out ok, but Olti absolutely exceeded what I thought I might be able to find. I live in Los Angeles but was in town just for the wedding, and I've gotten blowouts at multiple Drybars around the country, so I knew what the service was supposed to entail. Well, I don't know why this shop has received so many bad reviews, because our services were INCREDIBLE. My stylist (Emily) and my mom's stylist (Giselle) both made our hair look absolutely gorgeous. I got the Manhattan and my mom got the Straight Up, and both were executed to perfection. Our stylists were fun and personable, super kind, and very talented. They put us at ease and we had the best time chatting while they did our hair. I have A LOT of hair and it can take over an hour to blow it out and flat iron it. Emily got it done flawlessly in 50 minutes! I also noticed GORGEOUS curls she'd done for the girl before me, so it wasn't just me who got great hair that day. My one note would be to ask how I wanted my hair washed at the shampoo bowl. This was actually the only time I've been to a Drybar where I wasn't asked if I wanted one or two shampoos and if I wanted conditioner on my roots. But since Emily made my hair look so amazing anyway, it's not a big deal -- just something I think should be done before washing. Will definitely be back. Last note on booking, I called ten minutes before they closed the night before I needed a morning appointment. Fully expecting that a Saturday morning in late Feb would be booked solid, I got a call back in less than 10 minutes saying they had worked something out and it's all booked. Danato took his time in explaining the entire process to me before starting the treatment, which included multiple cleansing washes accompanied by steam throughout. He finished the treatment off with a bouncy blowout. I have thick and coarse caucasian/asian hair, and he was incredibly patient and enthusiastic in creating the look that I wanted. The whole experience was relaxing and pleasant from start to finish. Danato was very attentive, polite and detail-oriented. I would highly recommend him for a hair spa treatment or blowout!

Honestly, it's probably two part in what I asked for and booking an apprentice stylist. Wanted long curtain bangs and long layers, cut to just below the collar bone. Got a long bob with, albeit, layers... some of the bangs cut dried and curl into my nose. Again, it's part bad ask and bad haircut. The stylist was working with me and tried to achieve what I was asking for, I just wish there was a bit more conversation about how to achieve what I want. Instead, I was impressed with how the stylist reiterated the hair cut back to me in bullet note like fashion, but it didn't initiate more conversation but instead felt like a: I'm telling you what I'm doing so if you dislike it in the end, it's your fault not mine. Giving 4 stars because I only had the stylist the one time! Don't knock this place until you try it, but this was my experience. I'm posting some reference pics along with my haircut. She really listened to what I wanted, even studied the reference photos I brought in, and somehow delivered something even better. What sets her apart is her artist's approach--she treats hair like a canvas and takes her time with the details. She studied the way my hair grows and sculpted it with precision you just don't find often, especially with men's cuts. She also fit me in on short notice, which was a lifesaver, and at $55 for a men's cut the value is incredible--I honestly walked out thinking she should be charging more. If you want a haircut that feels crafted, not just cut, go see Lynda. You'll walk out feeling like your hair has been elevated by an artist.
