The only way you can contact this company is on the phone. No way to document problems other than posting a review. So here it is!! 1. I asked for upgraded cameras; but I don't really see much improvement. Can't see anything very clearly unless it's less than 20 feet from a camera. 2. 1 camera is misaligned and doesn't properly light up the area it's monitoring. Probably only needs a minor adjustment. It's easy to see that the built in light is next to the wall instead of pointed toward the area that needs to be illuminated. 3. 2 cameras don't light up the areas they monitor at all. Could this be caused by the streetlight that is about 50 feet away from them? If so, why wasn't I made aware of that before they were installed? 4. 1 camera doesn't display the same clarity. The colors on this one are dull while all the others have excellent clarity. 5. I was recently told that even though I am paying for a warranty I would have to pay a truck trip fee for someone to come out. Some of the equipment in my home dates back to when it was first installed by Guardian Security in June 2003. I've made multiple upgrades without any problems and/or truck trip fees. This company is a breath away from a complete scam. I purchased a home and during inspection there was a rep Steve from alert 360. The inspection team had called him without my knowledge because of an agreement they had with each other. I have had a bad experience with alert 360 in the past after they bought guardian so was not going to use there service again. However the previous home owner used alert 360 and thats who the system was wired for. A couple days later another different rep Garner Jackson from alert 360 came to my door and I assumed he was sent by the first one. So gave him a chance listened to his pitch it was good and the price was good too so I considered it. I had another rep from Titan my old company come out to quote a price and he said he would have to replace all the equipment in the home at around $1000 to use them even before monitoring and labor. So I was stuck with alert 360. I talked at length with the alert 360 rep Garner about what I wanted and what I did not want and he made it sound great, easy and no trouble. So a contract was signed and he said call him anytime if there is an issue, and that was that. Later I get a call from the first alert 360 rep Steve asking when he can come talk about my security system needs. I was very confused as the deal was done. As it turned out they don't talk to each other and the second guy swooped in and took the sale of the first. I felt bad being in the middle of this, and worse that they put me there. a few days later a tech was out to instal, I don't remember his name. Thats when things really went down hill. The tech smelled like a toilet, and I had to stay down wind in another room while he worked. It was all I could do to keep from gagging while he showed me how the keypad worked. As a result I did not ask many questions and wanted him out as quick as possible. The smell lingered after he left. He had to instal a second unattractive box with a transmitter that took up yet another one of my power plugs in addition to the main control box already using a plug, a situation that I was not told about by Garner when I agreed to the service. The keypad is just horrible, overly complicated, difficult to use and the countdown timer when you set it is so loud you can hear it from the street. The burglar siren is nearly the same sound as the fire alarm. So you don't know wether to leave the house or hold up and call the cops when it sounds. I honestly can't figure out why they make such a poor product. I was not happy with the system and it was not at all like Garner said it would be. So I called the rep Garner. He said he would look into it and get back with me. Two days later with no communication I texted and called him. No response. He was actually ducking my calls. At this point I'm just done, I want out, I'll go with someone else. I looked over the contract again and see you only have 5 days to cancel from the date signed. So depending on scheduling the 5 days could run out before it is even installed. How are you going to know you don't like a system and cancel before it is even installed. And they won't schedule installation until it's signed. It's a trap plain and simple. I contacted customer service to cancel my service, get this junk out of my house and my old one back. Ron Quinalty sales manager claimed they would cancel and send me a letter to that effect and I finally after many back and forth texts got it a month later. I never got my old system back. This is a shady company that uses high pressure underhanded tactics to get customers in the door and lock them in. I should have never given them a second chance. I'm going with the company I should have in the first place and pay the extra. Don't get suckered in like I did. Stay away from alert 360. read more

For some reason this company started sending me spam emails out of the blue. I do not use this company, never used it, never even heard of it before but they continuously send me emails. And while the emails end up in the spam folder, I dissect them to find out where they are coming from, to include reporting them to Spamcop.net and all signs of the email indicate the emails are originating from them. Seems they bought some marketing mailing list or something. That is a bad way to do business. read more

UPDATE: Ashley from CSG called shortly after I spoke with a customer service supervisor and agreed to refund the last payment. Apparently we were disconnected during the call while he was attempting to work the issue. Upgrading to 3 stars for the quick response. After the contract term was up, I went with a more well known, nationally recognized security provider who even provided the letter to cancel with CSG. Afterwards CSG took their final payment for the 30-day contract requirement...or so I thought. 33 days later, they took another payment claiming the 30-day notice was not provided, even though they've acknowledged the cancellation. I've essentially paid for 63 days of service with no service. read more

BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!! BEWARE !!! It's 100% true, this company is a BAIT & SWITCH company. They are the absolute worst! They have zero ethics. They state your contract is for 24 months, but then when you try to cancel after 24 months they try to hit you with a $280 "buy out" fee. If you state you are disappointed with the service they have the audacity to offer you a $208 "buy out" fee. Nice try Ginger in the Office of OCO - whatever that means. Then, they tell you that you signed a contract that says your contract was renewed for another 18 months - SCAMMERS!!! It wasn't until I threatened to contact the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Affairs and the Attorney General that they panicked. Suddenly Ms Ginger was able to get "approval" to "release my contract" - SCAMMERS!!! I requested several times over the last two years to have an additional security monitoring pad placed in my home. Each time I called to make the request I would be told someone would call me back to further discuss. Two years later and I'm still waiting on that call back. To make matters worse, it's not a reliable home monitoring system. I changed my land line and waited to see how long it would take them to reach out to me. After some time they left me a message about testing the system. I never received a follow-up, and, they never addressed it again until I called to cancel. Clearly, they weren't receiving a signal from my home. Guess they were more interested in collecting monthly payments then providing a sound and safe home monitoring service. No bueno! Pay the extra money and go with a reputable company like ADT, or other reputable company that won't try to use boilerplate language (that they say exists) to scam you out of an additional 18 months of your hard earned money. Well we just sent in our final payment to Alert 360. They received five months payment for service they did not render. If you choose not to pay, they will hit your credit. I encourage you to stay away from this company unless you know without a doubt that you will never move or you just want to give your money away for nothing. By the way, when we contacted them early on to explain our situation, that they bought out the service of our previous company and that company didn't give us the equipment, the customer service rep. was rude and told us we were under contract to pay regardless. read more

I canceled my service December 15 I had paid for December and even though my service was stopped mid December I was still forced to pay for the entire January I called to dispute the $50 charge for January and was told it was in the contract that I had to pay another month I think it's ridiculous that I had already paid for all of December and only had service for two weeks and then was forced to pay an additional month in essence I paid for six weeks of service without service. $50 a month for two years is a ton of money for service they wanted 50 more before they were done with me...For that extra 50 bucks you get this one star review read more

I have had them for almost 4 years at my home address. We are well past our contract date. There service was slow, ADT was faster to respond. Additionally, even though I passed online verifications, I still had to send a cancellation letter/email with specific requirements. Then they told me I had to provide them 30 days notice. This is clearly a tactic to milk departing customers for additional fees. I was told it was to give them time to process the cancellation, which unless they do everything by hand, is ridiculous. I would use someone else, this is just a "player" in the space and they get independent alarm installers to use them for the increased fees they pay the installers. Move on and get someone else. --EDITED TO REPLY TO RESPONSE-- Jimmy: If there is a certifying authority which regularly tests alarm company response and provides a publicly available report, quote that and provide a reference. Other than that, just saying "We're number 1" is pointless. I am merely explaining what my impression was regarding my response time experience based upon my time with both you and ADT. Additionally, to your comment regarding the very specific August 2013 date at 11:33 AM your rep went over the company policies: This is clearly coming from some type of CRM system as very few people would be able to recall a 2 minute conversation from nearly 4 years ago where I was told you got an extra month of fees after cancellation. I am expressing my dissatisfaction over a very one-sided policy which so clearly favors the company's interests over the consumer and blamed upon administrative delay. If your company has the ability to reach back into records from 4 years ago and retrieve this information, you should certainly be able to cancel my service when I ask, and not require 30 days notice. Saying your representative worked "diligently" to remove the extra charge is ridiculous as my concern over the fees didn't matter until I stated I was going to post reviews on social media platforms. All of sudden I was placed on hold and after brief wait, was told you would credit back the fees. As for my review not being helpful, that is not for you to decide. It is for the person shopping for an alarm service to judge wether or not my honest review based upon my experience with your company is helpful to them. I also see there are numerous other complaints regarding this exact issue. I have paid your company over $2,000 during my service time, and yet I am going to get charged for a 30 day cancellation notice. It is an extreme disappointment and a black mark on your company to have such a policy which victimizes your customers. The only care and concern I saw from your company was after I threatened negative social media reviews, and now that I have posted one, I got some more attention, albeit through a condescending response. I stand by my opinion even more fervently now as rather than be apologetic and capitulate the matter, you decided instead to state "we're the best," and "we fixed our theft since you called us on it," and "your review isn't helpful, we did nothing wrong." This is a classic denial of responsibility and refusal to examine policy tactic similar to United Airlines most recent response which blew up in the media. I'm gonna pass this policy on to the Consumer Financial Protect Bureau, the Consumer Protection Division of the Texas Attorney General's Office, and the Public Protection Division of the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office. Update: Central security did reach put to us and we were able to reach an agreement on the remainder of our contract. The service was good, but fair warning - if you move outside of their service area, there are no early termination options at all. "Nationwide" is a deceptive description for a company that only operates in 4 states, which leaves us paying for 1.5 years of service we have no way of using. read more

we recently switched to Central Security Group after being with Hawk Security for 4 years, and we are sorry we did. The sales and installation went fine, but we accidentally set the alarm off and to my surprise, NO one came across the panel speaker, no call to check on us, and no police came out. This is extremely disappointing and not something I can easily accept. I am paying for a monitored system, and to not hear from the monitoring company is unacceptable. read more

I wish I could give them 0 star but Yelp system did not allow it. Last October, I informed Central Security Group to cancel my service because of poor service. They told me they will close it. This month, I got the bill from them (auto withdraw) from my bank. I called the Billing Service Department. They told me my account is inactive as of November 30 but still took my money from my bank in December. I wish I never use that service. I learned my lesson regarding auto withdraw. So from now on, I will not allow any auto withdraw to prevent any "unauthorized" withdrawal. read more

Prices are reasonable; however, take caution! The agreement AUTOMATICALLY renews year to year despite fulfilling the contract term requirement. I have been with Central Security for almost 13 years. The one time I have an issue and it is supposed to be under warranty they try to charge me for it. I have old equipment and to get newer equipment they want raise my monthly rate a lot and then tell you the equipment is free. That's not free !! Now that I'm canceling they have some girl call me who didn't want to solve my issue she just wanted to sell me new equipment. A long time customer like myself means nothing to this company. SCAM! They will debit you FOREVER! I requested that my service be terminated June 2015 (we had filled our contract obligation) due to the sale of our house. I was not told to submit a letter so I thought that the call was sufficient. I have proof of the sale of my old home and purchase of new as of June 2015. Fast forward to September 2017 - I noticed an ACH debit from Central Security Group and upon research, find that they have been debiting my bank account every month. Yes, my accounting skills are severely lacking. I called and again requested cancellation. I was told that it needed to be in writing. I sent an email and received a confirmation of receipt. I am now getting a paper bill for October 2017 plus late fees because I changed banks. I was just told that they will bill one more month after cancellation letter is received. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! They had a representative to come out and sale me sercurity devices in which they refuse to service after they stop working! The third party contractor that could service the cameras is out of business. I have asked they they come out to fix a door sensor that keeps me from turning the alarm on at night. They were supposed to do that within 24 hours and after 5 days, I requested that they cancel my contract. They stop the monitoring service but did not cancel the contract and is still billing me for service. I'm checking with an attorney for a class action law suit and I will keep you posted! Edith R. I've had security systems (both residential and commercial) from a number of companies and these guys have been the best so far. We bought a new house and the house had existing alarm system with Central Security. I call them as well as a number of other providers and their quote was lower than all. More importantly, many top-notch features like full control with smart phone, etc were already included in their pricing, while many other companies only offered their basic plans and all other features came as pricey upgrades. Once the installation was done (I had asked for new panel with 3G/4G connectivity to bypass phone line) and after a few weeks, I noticed that a few windows were missed. So I called them and they sent a technician back to my house twice to fully take care of all the issues without any charge to me. I even asked them to add a new sensor and they did that (which needed an additional trip back to my house) for free. I just can't say enough of their great customer service and I am very pleased with my experience with them so far. Btw, I see there are many negative reviews here on contract issues and automatic renewals. First of all, I do agree that the automatic renewal is a pain, but unfortunately its pretty much a standard practice of all security monitoring companies nowadays (my old monitoring company at the old house tried to forced it on me in the middle of the contract, but I refused because that wasn't part of the initial contract). You just need to set an annual reminder in your phone calendar in case you want to change your provider. Also regarding the contract issues, let's be fair. They invest lots of money in their installations (in my case, they installed a brand new panel and sent their technicians to my home several times) so of course if you want to drop them in the middle of the contract there will be some consequences and you should take responsibility for that. Just put yourself in their shoes and be fair (and read your contracts carefully before signing) instead of complaining! Pretty much what people are saying is true about this company. I was with them for 12 years and when I had to cancel, I was told that i still owed 9 months of payments. I won't review their service because to me this is a deal breaker and no matter how the service is, I will never recommend a company that operates this way. Unfortunately, if I ever decide to get an alarm system again, i will look elsewhere. Do not fall into the trap. I have received word from the corporate office that they will allow the account to be canceled without any penalty and will waive the annual renewal. As to the quick reach out I am changing the rating from 1 star to 5. Thanks!! Finished our contract of 36 months which was with Smith Monitoring which got bought out by reliant Security. Contract is over been over a while. So we move to another well known company for security service. We also called Alert360 before the installer installs the new service at our house to be told call back later the department is closed. I speak to the agent trying to find out of no hidden contracts or surprises. They claim someone will call you back on Tuesday Sept 3rd. No one call so I call Alert 360 and get told by a rude billing department you were auto renewed on Feb 2019. So I asked her how was I auto renewed? She has no way to explain it is hidden in section 200 or something. Then Login into my account there is no auto renew feature seen. Since I am not with Alert 360 anymore I am beyond frustrated. The kicker the billing department told me pay us $5 dollars more for warranty we will fix your panel I was like a better known company has lifetime warranty with a 30 day renewal. Still no offer of ok we wont charge you after August.. I also explained to her my Smith Montoring contract has no mention of Auto renewal she goes on and on. BUYER BEWARE. The other posts concerning automatic renewals, cancellation policies and full charges for the year are all accurate. This company is a rip off. I would say be careful to read the fine print but why bother, just avoid them altogether. One would think that a reasonable approach after fulfilling a two year commitment would be a month to month system. Seems reasonable and fair but not here. If you do not tell them at the end of the year well in advance of the end of the year you will be on the hook for all of the next year. Of course they never send you a reminder that your auto renew is approaching. As part of my "buyout offer" they said I could get out of it if the next owner would pick up the service. What kind of a scam is that! Why would I try to saddle the next owner with this bad news deal?? If it were just my experience perhaps it was a one off but there are several folks here that have expressed their displeasure with very similar experiences so there is real pattern here. I was an Alert 360 customer for over 5 years. I was out of contract two years ago, but when I called 2 years ago to inquire about how to cancel with hopes of getting a better deal, they informed me that because I had not cancelled within 30 days of the contract ending my contract self renewed. Needless to say I was irate. I talked to a manager who agreed to put me on month to month. She told me that all I had to do when and if I wanted to disconnect in the future was to call customer service. Today I received my new Ring alarm, and self installed. After installing, I called 360 to cancel my service. I was then informed that I had to give them a 30 day notice in writing. This is not what I was told 2 years ago, and now they want me to pay for another month of service even though I am not using it. Thank goodness I didn't set them up on auto pay because they won't be getting another month out of me. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. EVEN AFTER COMPLETING YOUR CONTRACT PLUS A COUPLE OF EXTRA YEARS, THEY STILL WILL TRY TO STICK IT TO YOU AS YOU DEPART.
