Eggs for 49¢ !!! You gotta be kidding!?!? this place reminded me of a Fresh & Easy with a European background. Friendly staff and clean aisles. Just opened 1 day ago and customers looking happy. read more

I absolutely love it! No frills or nonsense thrills. Just great prices on items. Forget name brand items just great quality items. I tried their potato chips, fruits, and veggies. All were fresh and tasted if not better than name brand. The isles we very accommodating products were very easy to get not having 10 of the same items and choosing the one that fits your budget. Get in and get out. The deli and meat cases were fully stock and very fresh. No need for a butcher here. Just get what you need and continue to shop. The quality of their brand is very close or surpasses the taste test. They offer quality brand sausages too! Dont' be fooled by all the shenanigans others markets feed you to gain your business because in reality that cost $$$$$ and yes that's reflective on your grocery bill. Albertsons, Ralphs, Vons, and others in the like you have been warned...your days are numbered and unlike Fresh and Easy they failed due to quick expansion and trying to carry name brand items. No sir, not here, again great quality and fantastic prices that's all. ALDI you're a breath of fresh air. Welcome to California. read more

After seeing abc 7 news do a review on this place. I didn't really agree with them I was not very impressed... I'm sure you can get some of this same items in other markets for the same price and the real brand ... I really thought I was going to be "wowed" I was very disappointed :( read more

The crazy cashier was working a mop when we came to get in line and had water EVERYWHERE with out signs posted that the floor was wet.. she was very rude like we interrupted her .. This place is overrated! I kept hearing on the internet about how great Aldi is. It's ok... I guess. They do sell some cheap cereal and muffins that I eat. Although I'm not sure if anybody else has noticed this, but the items that are their brands are not always the same items in stock. read more

I have gone multiple times and no issues at all. Quite the contrary, first day a guy let me have 25 cents to release a cart, the grapes are my all time favorite , the cashier kindly greeted me and gave me some tips like bringing my reusable bags to save even more. New to the city so I felt welcomed :) thank you read more

Don't understand what all the hype is about. There is no incredibly low prices or choices for oganics. I would much rather go to sprouts or trader joes, not impressed. read more

Easy convenient location from my house. Very clean store. They were very low stocked on fruits and veggies when I came. I don't know of a new shipment was to come that evening or what, that's was my only disappointment, I know it's a small store but wish fruits and veggies could be expanded. read more

I was very impressed for it being my first time checking this chain out. I was very excited and glad of the deals and prices of my choice of items. The selection is to the bare bone so it makes it very quick and nice, yet have a variety of simple options. The workers of which I was able to meet were really nice, one even helping by lending us a quarter for the carts which was returned to to him when we returned the cart as said. The inside was becoming and pleasing to the eye as well. It was a great experience and plan on going again in the future. Specifically I rate 4.6-4.8 read more

Found an unlocked shopping cart in the parking lot. Didn't have to pay the usual ¢.25 to rent it. Aldi is super clean, and has a tightly organized variety of products. Not too many big name brands, but the products Aldi sells are both economical for people on a budget, and high quality for people wanting great tasting food. My bill at Aldi was exactly $40.00. If I had purchased the same products at a big name competitor, I would have paid at least 50 percent more. If only Aldi had a market close to my town of residence. I only happened to visit this particular Aldi today because I happened to be in Covina on other business. Now that I've actually shopped at Aldi, I plan to visit this excellent supermarket more often. NOTE: My cashier Cecilia was especially helpful, and I had to pay 15 cents per shopping bag. read more

Love this store!!! Excellent prices, good selection of necessities. Great quality. I find I have saved money not purchasing multiple items from big box stores. Its convenient would recommend read more

I love this place! It's super clean! The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. If you need a special order of something, just ask! They were able to help a friend with 25 cooked turkeys, after vons and stater brothers turned her down. They carry lots of their own brand with the same quality as the big name brands. They have tons of healthy options and gluten free items also. Their cereal is usually about $1.29, which is awesome! Their eggs are always under 89 cents. They have an "ALDI finds" section with random items, if you like something, buy it! It probably won't be there next week. Take your own bags and a quarter for your cart deposit. I've been shopping here weekly for the past few months and I have zero complaints! I love Aldi! If you haven't visited, you have to! Your grocery budget will thank you :) read more

I will start on paying 25€ for the cars. I always get over charger. They charge 15€ per bag. Staff are not very friendly and get annoyed by children. I stop going there. read more

Don't believe the one stars--this place is a gem. BEST FOR: Meat and cheese WORST FOR: National brand products. TIPS FOR YOUR FIRST TRIP: Find a quarter. Keep it in your purse/wallet. Use for carts. Repeat. Bring your own bags. You will be bagging for yourself (which I don't mind since I prefer to be in control of that anyway. Kids out here can't bag!). They have a HUGE counter for bagging behind the check stands, so you won't have to stand there fumbling with your bags as people try to check out behind you at the check stand (like Superior). You can lay everything out and bag neatly. :) SOME CRAVATS: It is different. It's a small market, NOT a supermarket. It's smaller than Trader Joe's. Don't expect the same exotic stuff you'll find at TJs. Plus side: I find it less cluttered than the TJs in San Dimas, and the store layout is a little easier to deal with. Anyway, onto the market itself--it's clean and well lit. Both times I've been there it's been well stocked, and there have been employees inside to help. I don't know where people are getting the idea that they're unfriendly, as I was asked on both occasions if I needed help finding something. Like Trader Joes, this is a place for cheese lovers. Their cheese prices are fantastic, and the quality is absolutely out of this world compared to the nasty store brands at Stater's and Walmart. I've tried the Colby Jack shredded and block cheddar, and the Jack was full, flavorful, and creamy (as it should be) and the cheddar was refreshingly sharp. The price was more than fair for the amount I got, as I expect from a store affiliated with TJs. This place is also a meat paradise. I'm a big fan of Braunscheiger (pate'), and they had a huge tube of it for 1.99$. It's the best I've had since moving out here (my preferred brand isn't carried in California)--sharp and satisfying. Their chicken, pork, and ground beef prices are amazing if you buy in bulk. Whole chickens are on par with Stater Brothers, but they also have some organic and cage free options, along with grass fed beef. The ground beef wasn't lean (I believe it was 80%), but I got around 5.3 pounds for 10$, which is the least I've spent on ground beef in ages. I've cooked three pounds of it so far, and it's delicious. It doesn't have that metallic taste that I find in Walmart's ground beef, nor does it have the weird texture of Stater Brother's bulk 3 pound "tube of beef". This was a win, and I can deal with the higher fat content since I can just drain it (or use it to make ground beef gravy). The chicken was also great--smelled fresh from the package and fried up nicely. Haven't tried their pork yet. Their brats are fantastic, though, and are 2.89$ for a pack of five. They also have good hotdogs in their freezer section (I got a pack of like, 12 or something for like 1.25). I will admit that I haven't tried their produce yet, but the prices seemed fair enough. Sprouts is better and has a better selection, but until our Sprouts opens in Glendora, this may work in a pinch. Their milk is fine, a little cheaper than Stater Brothers and way cheaper than Wally World (Valu-Time milk IS cheaper, but something about how cheap it is combined with the name makes me paranoid to drink it.) I believe I paid around a buck seventy, but I can't remember. Their frozen food is also pretty good. They're not national brands, but they're CHEAP, and good. the 79 cent chimichungas (compare to .99 cents at Staters) were tasty, as were the corn dogs (6 in a pack for 2.49). I have had their ice cream and... I'm not a fan. I'm WAY too spoiled by Ben and Jerry's, but that's fine as ice cream should be a sometimes food. :) In terms of snacks, they're also fine--they have store brand versions of pretty much every type of cookie you could want. I got their version of chocolate Teddy Grahams and they were pretty good. Their buns are great--and again, price REALLY makes a difference. For 1.39 I got potato buns that were really tasty. They have cheaper buns than this, but I didn't try them. I'm addicted to Orowheat's Buttermilk Bread and they have a store brand version of that, but I haven't tried it just yet. They also had some higher end broche buns and the like, but again--I didn't try those. :) They also have pre-made take and bake pizzas that are pretty tasty. They're a little pricey (6.50 for the one I got), but if you're feeling lazy and need to feed the fam, it's still pretty affordable. Is it the end all, be all of supermarkets? No. Is it as cool as Trader Joes? No. Could you do a whole week's shopping there? Yeah, but it'd be hard. But is it a good discount market on its own? YES, and it is the PERFECT compliment to the Walmart right across the street. So grab a quarter, a bag, and give it a try. read more

I was curious about this market I've been hearing a lot about the chain opening around the area so I was in the area and decided to stop by and just look inside to see what they had to offer not thinking I WS going to buy anything well I did I came out with two bags of groceries they have great products and produce for great prices hope that doesn't change the strange thing was at the check out the cashier scans the items then places them in the cart not in the bag in the cart then directs u you to a shelve all ng the wall to bag your groceries your self strange I thought but other than that good experience.. read more

Had to try this new market. Good and bad things. Mostly good prices but selection is small, at least for now. It's probably growing inventory? They save money by having people pay deposit for carts so I'm sure they don't lose many carts. Also had to pay for bag for my groceries which I didn't mind but had I known, I would of taken one ahead of time. Will visit again though. Prices and quality were pretty good on certain things. read more

Since Aldi opened in my neighborhood, I have not gone to any other markets. Their food is fresh and they have a lot organic options. You can't beat the prices and I avoid buying a lot of processed food. I love it and I don't know why it has bad reviews. Yes, you have to use a quarter to get a cart and then get it back when you're done shopping. I guess some people are just lazy. Also I believe in the recyclable bags, which most places are now charging for, anyways. So bring your own bags and a quarter and save a lot of money. read more

Missed their first day of the Grand opening but made it on day #2. The store is clean and aisles are well organized. Prices on bananas, avocados, and grape tomatoes were really cheap and I hope they stay that way. Eggs were also cheap. I usually go to Costco for those items I mentioned earlier and up spending more. I purchased some food items that are under their own brand. The milk chocolate with almonds were delicious. Like others mentioned bring a quarter to rent a cart which you end getting back if you return the cart. Bring your own bags to avoid paying for bags. I'm already used to bagging my items. By doing so, Aldi is passing on the savings to the customer. This is my new go to store. Glad they opened locally. Let's hope they continue to price their items cheaper than the competition. read more

I was really excited for this place to open (I felt like it took forever haha!) mostly because their ads seemed enticing and truth be told I am really sick of Walmart. I feel like many of the complaints on here are because most of us expected something else. Thankfully, I went in with no expectations. I'm still on the fence about how I feel about Aldi. I missed their grand opening but I went on the day after and they still handed me a free reusable bag. I thought this was nice because they are bigger then usual and they will not give you bags. When you shop here, if you don't buy or bring bags, you aren't getting any. I applaud them for sticking to their guns because most places will eventually cave and give out paper bags. Be sure to take a quarter for the cart. They have no hand baskets, and in order to get a cart you need to stick a quarter into the slot. Its a deposit, you get the quarter back once you return the cart to their little lock system. At first I thought this was weird. But if you think about it, you do not actually pay for the cart. You get that quarter back at the end of your trip. Also, none of us suffer the consequences of random carts hitting our cars in the parking lot. In such a busy shopping center I would hate for carts to be flying everywhere especially since they are so close to a busy street exit. In theory, if Aldi does not have to pay someone to be out chasing carts, there can be more employees inside helping customers. I think its a good try to fix all the problems of normal grocery stores. That being said, it is inconvenient if you forgot a quarter (now I keep one in my wallet!) The set up reminds me of a scene out of Stepford Wives haha! You walk in and its dry foods and wine right away, cereal, then produce. Then things are aisled off. Most of their products are store brand but I have yet to buy one I dislike. So far I have tried trail mixes, salad mixes, grated parmesan cheese, bread, pastries, and chips that are all Aldi brand. All have been great. Especially for the price. I do notice that they lack selection. But they are not Walmart. For the space, they have a good coverage of items. The real reason why I come here is the prices. $1.99 for a case of water and 99cents for eggs? YES! Milk is cheap too but I can't remember the price. But the price on eggs, water, and a few other items CANNOT be beat. Especially since these are items that go very fast in my household. Bottom line, you pay for what you get. Go in there with an open mind and you'd be surprised at what you find! PS. I've been there twice already and theres only been ONE open cashier. If this happens to you, don't take it out on the ONE person who is trying to help you! Clearly management needs to work on scheduling better or payroll isn't allowing them enough hours. Be patient! read more

Went there today for the grand opening and was very pleased! I think I found my new favorite market (: You can rent a shopping cart for $.25, that you get back when you return it. They gave us free reusable bags, but I think they are normally an additional fee. They have so many great items at amazing prices. Their store brand items have a guarantee on them and if you don't like any food item you can return it for something of equal or lesser value! Will be returning soon. read more

You have to check out Aldi grocery store on arrow and Azusa! Make sure you bring a quarter to get a cart ( you get it after you return it ), you get charged bags so if you have reusable yay! Also bring extra hands to bag your stuff. It's a lot of do it yourself, but the prices are so worth it. read more

Cheap, affordable, great service, great food! Aldi is really the future of grocery shopping. They carry with them a new business model, and a lower price as compared to other traditional grocery stores. I will never go to Stater Brothers, Ralphs, or any other place. Honestly, I can get everything I need from them, at a cheaper price. The quality is also on par with some higher end chains. Try this place, you'll like it. read more

I'm very familiar with Aldi and have been to two since they opened in So Cal. I had a bad experience checking out at this store. Usually, the clerk will sort your groceries into a separate cart after scanning. This makes baggy really easy and efficient. Not this store. She stacked everything in the childs seat -- under the bread and tomatoes. I finally objected after she tried to pile on top of the eggs. Then she didn't bother to move the filled cart with the empty cart now in front of me - she just sat there. Opened less than a month (when this happened) and they have poorly trained, lazy employees. Great. read more

If you're tight on cash, then you won't find food cheaper than Aldi. And that's the problem. It is cheap food. Most of it tastes like Chalk or has little to no flavor at all. Proprietary brands you'll never see anywhere else. Watered down dairy products, cheeses that have no flavor, cereals that taste bland like sawdust would. Very low quality items. If you're broke and need food cheap, this is the place. I would rather savor some flavor with name brand items from a name brand store. read more

Buying some produce is fine. However everything else that I have bought, tastes like plastic. The Clancy's wavy chips tastes like chemicals. They are gluten-free supposedly. But they have a terrible aftertaste. I bought other chips and I will try them, but I am sure that they will taste just like the wavy chips. I bought the tilapia with the southwestern seasonings , the minute I put it on the pan I knew something smelled different. after searing on both sides for 4 minutes , I took a piece to try and it tasted like dirty water. Dirty water with a terrible fishy taste. I understand that it is fish, I have cooked fish before, I have eaten fish before. but this fish was different. I also bought the stuffed bell peppers , and they were not that good either. The meat tasted tough and it was overcooked on the top. It said to cook in microwave for 22 minutes and I cooked it for 21. Will I go back? Maybe for garlic and onions and the like. But I will not go back to buy fresh fish. However their ground turkey is very good. So that's a plus I guess. read more

The products are very good at great prices and the cashiers are very polite and efficient. I love this store.

I went on a grocery run to Aldi and was pretty impressed with their prices and customer service. They have a lot of great organic foods for very inexpensive prices. What I usually buy at Trader Joes, I found it here, but cheaper. Canned beans, bagged lettuce, cereal , fruit, bread, etc. Their employees were helpful and I was even asked by a employee if I needed helped bagging my groceries because she saw I was carrying my daughter in my arm. My only gripe is returning the cart after I am done loading my groceries in my truck. I had to carry my daughter all the way back to the front of the store to return the cart and get back my quarter. Is there a cart run closer to the parking lot in between the cars? That would be so helpful. Anyway, I like it here. I don't care about the self bagging or boxed groceries. I am a minimalist anyway. The store is neat and well stocked. If they keep this up, I will be back all the time. Will definitely tell my friends and family about Aldi. Thanks for opening your stores here in the West Coast ! read more
