Last night I ran into Albertsons to get a few things and the Manager was screaming over the PA, that we only had 15 mins. to finish our shopping, but when I checked my phone, we still had over 20 mins left to shop. I think it was very rude of her to be screaming over the PA at us customers. And when I checked out, she was screaming on the PA again saying everyone had only 5 mins. left. Her name is Michelle. Next time I come into the store and she's there I will not shop there anymore. Enough is Enough !!!! read more

Nestled in the Foothills of the east San Fernando Valley, the backdrop of the mountains, the ambiance is great. The meat department butchers are great guys. There always seems to be a great deal on one or two awesome cuts of meat. The deli staff continually go above and beyond to ensure we are pleased. Not one complaint from me, except for the speed bumps on the walkways out of the store into the parking lots, it feels like my cart has a deathwobble. Shitty ass service. Went to order the cake and dude told me to go to Vons because they are one in the same and he couldn't answer my questions he just bakes the cakes. Worst customer service ever. Lazy ass. It also took him over 15 minutes to acknowledge Inwas even standing there to place an order. I should have known to walk away at that point. Now I see why a lot of Albertson stores closed. Who wants to shop at a place where people dont want to so their damn jobs. Smh read more

A few years ago, I would have given this store 2 stars, but I have really seen improvement in the store. The produce is much fresher than it used to be. My husband always picks up their fresh made tortilla chips, yum! Nice employees and decent selection. read more

I really did love Albertsons!!!!! They had the lowest prices. Now it's gone and has been replaced by Haggens Food & Pharmacy!!!!! Their prices are really expensive!!! Don't go there to Haggens. It's a rip off! I bought the same exact same things at Haggens yesterday and it came out to $146.00 Dollars!!!!!! Where as when it was Albertsons, the same exact same things costed me only $80.00 So what's the deal???? I guess I will shop at Vons from now on. I just got done doing my grocery shopping at Vons, and man was it crouded!!!! Most of those people I talked to said they used to shop Albertsons, and they couldn't even believe Haggens prices! It looks like the cashiers at this Albertsons come with a major attitude. I don't shop here very often unless I have to. Most cashiers are impersonal and unfriendly. But today's review is specifically addressed to Linda who earns the trophy for the rudest cashier in Albertsons, Tujunga CA! She ignored me after I said "hello" then proceeded to ring my items without making any eye contact nor acknowledged me as a customer. I walked away without thanking her and couldn't wait to get home to yelp. I will consider shopping there if they bring back the self checkouts. In the meantime I'll go to vons or Ralph's. I hope someone is reading these reviews because obviously the cashiers need attitude adjustment. read more

Never coming back...Horrible customer service ruining a once in a life time experience for us. Asked them to help blow up a gender reveal balloon for my wife and I. We spent 20 min. waiting for someone, finally when they sent someone over, I explained its for a gender reveal balloon, we just need it blown up, its for our first child, we're going to pop it with our family members tonight, PLEASE don't let us see whats inside. We turn away as to not accidentally see, and as he's blowing it up he asks "how big?" and as we turn around he lets air out blowing blue confetti everywhere in the store. I just asked for the balloon back so we could leave as my wife stands there crying, he still asks "oh did you see?" not even realizing my wife is standing there in tears. He didn't care at all that he just ruined a once in a life time experience for us. Were excited to be having a boy, but never coming back because his sheer lack of thought and compassion and blatant carelessness and disregard for something that meant so much to us. read more

spacious store, full deli, bakery, seafood, and meat counters, fair toy aisle and good assortment of domestic and kitchen hardware. occasional good deals or coupons from the store flyer, but consistently more expensive than ralphs or vons. fixtures and atmosphere seem worn and tired. mercifully, self-checkout available vs. icy, almost hostile customer service. counter people at least ask if they can help you, cashiers are friendly like a dark alley. outside near the drive-thru pharmacy is a recycling hutch where you are issued a voucher for cans and bottles to be redeemed inside the store. one morning i brought three slips to the customer service counter and the employee eating a yogurt there said he was on break until 11, which was four minutes away, so we both stood looking at each other waiting for one to go away or one to get back to work. at one minute 'til, another clerk took me to the self-checkout stand to cash me out but tried paying only two of the three and keeping the $5 voucher for herself. nice try, sweetheart. you might check in every so often if they have a certain product or brand or just to keep vons and ralphs honest and maybe luck into a deal or special, but i hardly see making this a market of first choice without putting on your best sneer first. read more

I've gone twice and both times I've gotten rude cashiers. The cashiers were pleasant to the customers right before me who happen to be Caucasian. I can't wait till Albertson's reopens in Tujunga! It's really close to home and their sale prices are the best. I shop at Von's and Ralph's as well but i hate dealing with the traffic around those stores in La Cresenta and I tend to only buy what is on sale that week from any of them. The cashiers were really friendly and helpful in this store and I am hoping they will be brought back. read more

In the past year or so this store has declined significantly in almost all respects. The average wait at the deli and especially the meat counters is now much longer than at other neighboring supermarkets. It's not uncommon to see only one employee at each of the respective counters. Due to this chronic understaffing, we don't even bother waiting if there are more than a couple of people in line ahead of us. We've also noticed a decline in the consistency of the fish and dairy products too. On multiple occasions we've bought fish only to find it was bad when we got it home. Additionally, we've had to return or dispose of multiple bottles of milk in the past couple of months as it had prematurely expired. We had this issue with both the store and name brands so it must be a refrigeration issue. Suspiciously this doesn't seem to happen when we buy milk from other stores... Finally, we've noticed our bills have been creeping up as they discontinued their Rewards program and reduced or eliminated many of the store coupons that used to print at check out. We used to think of the nearby Ralphs as the higher-priced alternative but now it looks like our checkout totals are about the same. I think that until some of these issues get resolved, we'll increasingly take our business elsewhere. To be honest, the only reason we still go to this location is its close proximity to our home. read more

I would have given the store a 5 had it not been for the two packs of deli meats on two of the three slicers that were just sitting there while the deli person was washing dishes. I watched her attend to a customer in the fried food case then go back to washing dishes. All while the meats were still sitting on the slicer. I walked closer and called for her so to get some help. I waited for about 3 minutes and then she turned and recognized me. I asked her what meat was in the slicer. She said it was a deli ham. I told her I was looking for a honey turkey. She walked over to the case and got one. She took off the meat that was currently there and unwrapped the turkey. Which by the way was not completely wrapped up. Placed it on the slicer without cleaning it or anything. I spoke to Judi the manger, and she offered to replace my current turkey package with a fresh unopened package. She was very helpful. She said she threw away the other turkey but I'm curious about the two that were on the slicer. Not sure I will get anything from the deli again. read more

The sushi bar here is amazing! Some of the best I've had. They make it fresh daily and prepare it right in front of you . And it's in a grocery store. The best sushi from a supermarket . The sushi chef is extremely friendly and accommodating. read more

Extremely rude cashier! I was so upset that I didn't even catch his name. After he finished scanning my items, I put my debit card through to pay. As usual, the machine asked for the pin number and the transaction was approved. Then, he told me that I need to pay again. I told him that on the credit card machine the transaction went through and it was approved. He then said: "What are you saying? Did I take your money?" This made me so upset! I wasn't rude to him, I was just asking him to check what happened. He didn't even look at his screen or anywhere at all and said "My drawer didn't open, did it?" What kind of customer service is this??? At least have a common curtesy and check before making rude comments. I wasn't sure what was going on with my card, so I just paid with cash and left. I called my bank to check on the last transactions and it was my bank's fault that the money never got pulled out. However, the cashier shouldn't have been that rude, his comments were extremely offensive and unprofessional. This was the last time I ever went to this Albertsons! Too bad, I like the store and the selection, but because of their horrible customer service, I am never going back! read more

The girl that I had a bad experience with one time at this location must have left, because I haven't seen her around.The bakery department is amazing. You have the most amazing cake decorator.It doesn't compare to any of the supermarkets around in terms of quality.The decorator made me a cake specifically for easter last year and made a custom cake that I was super impressed with.The front end service is great as well.The staff is always very friendly. read more
