Last week I went to Albertsons and I purchased 2 bday cakes. The Hispanic lady was very helpful and displayed good customer service. She recommended the raspberry filling cake ($19.99), so I decided to take her recommendation. When it was time to cut the cake, the raspberry filling was as thin as a paper. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. I might as well just purchased a white cake with no filling. I emailed Albertsons and I received a response from the GROCERY TEAM, that I would have to go to the store and it's up to the store manager to refund me any money. COVID 19 is not an issue at this location. mask wearing is to enforce but the store, "It up to the customers to enforce" per the manager. Two employees stocking soda had the masks down below their mouths. Then when ordering from the deli the guy was dumping trash behind the counter ask if I need help. I placed my order and he just put on gloves. I told him if he could wash his hands first. He did without issue, but the safety is gone. Although really if you think about it minus the standoff. They should be cleaning their store and carts always. Very sad and disappointing. we have been customer for years, but it not safe now. read more

Have never ever had a single shopping trip with accurate receipt. Always overcharged on at least 1 item and sometimes 2. Such a pain and waste of time to have to return because of being overcharged. There's a MAJOR issue with Albertson's programming of registers and Just for U gimmick not being up to date and costing consumers extra money they never planned on paying. Because it takes place on literally every shopping trip, Albertson's is well aware of the issue and simply doesn't bother to improve their system at the customers expense, sadly the customer is never under charged. There was no parking available nearby so I parked in the pickup order line to run and grab the few things I needed and was parked less than 10 minutes and come out to my car having over 6 stickers attached to both sides of my windshield wipers and an employee scolding me for parking there. I'm sorry but don't take up 4 front parking spots for pick up orders and do not vandalize people's vehicles by sticking things to their windshield wipers. You don't know if someone is handicapped etc and that is why they need to park closer. Your parking lot is annoying enough as it is with the lack of spots to park. read more

These guys always come through for me when I need a birthday cake or balloons. Check out the beautiful cake they made for my four-year-old son. This is not even a regular cake they offer, but they created something special for him after I told them that my boy loves monster trucks. (All I did was provide the two monster trucks.) The customer service here is much better than the service at the local Gelson's, Ralph's, and Whole Foods. I will return often. read more

Overall, Albertsons in Ladera Ranch is a nice place to shop and the checkers are great. But, after buying funky meat three times in as many weeks, I'm done. Granted, they take it back without much backtalk, but when do you open the meat package and get the stink? Right before you start to cook dinner. Very inconvenient to take it back then. Their clerks at the meat counter often cop an attitude if you ask for something that's not on the shelf. Nope, I'm done. Going back to Ralphs. P.S. I think most people in Ladera Ranch shop at this grocery store since its perfectly located on the outskirts of the community. This place gets pretty busy on the weekend and the shelfs seem to be very well stocked. There are two redbox kiosks in this store, one by the registers and the other by the doors near the pharmacy. I just noticed something new today, seems like they transformed the rotisserie chicken warmer into a hot wings station. They also have self checkout which makes it nice if you only have a few items. read more

I went in on a Thursday morning (Easter Week) with Sale paper in hand and my list. The Sale was pretty awesome and I got a $20 off coupon in the mail. I was shocked to see so many items incorrectly tagged; but each time I inquired and showed them the price in the paper; they would find that it was correct in the system. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. And the store was clean, uncluttered and well-stocked. I hate to shop; but I enjoyed buying 30 items and saved $97; using only 1 coupon. My son is graduating high school and going off to the marines boot camp, so I ordered a half sheet of white cake with Raspberry cream filling with half of the cake with graduation decoration and the other half with the marines logo. The cake was fantastic. I got good praises from our guests about the cake and Lori was the best!! She made it simple and definitely surpassed our expectations. Everything was great when I first got to the store and while shopping. The reason for the 1 Star is the terrible customer service I received at checkout. A lady with bleach blonde hair was my checker. Don't know her name but can get it on my receipt... She was not helpful and I felt as though I was bothering her with the questions I asked. I've been going to this store for 12 years and it has definitely improved over the years. They have a Starbucks right as you walk in the door and a Deli with fresh cold cuts. The produce department is stocked, however presentation isn't always the best. Meat department-they have a good choice of meats, however the fish department is always lacking in choices. They have added Poke with is just ok. Sushi- the in store sushi is actually good. They have a chef making it on site every day.. he can even make a special roll of you ask. Wine department- decent selection with a walk in for tbt higher end wines. Decent sales and multi bottle discount. Customer service is always good. Gary the manager is always willing to help if you have any issues or special orders. The neg- because it's really the only grocery store in Ladera, the line is always long and you do have a little wait. read more

I'm new to the area and haven't shopped In-store very much. I have used Drive Up & Go several times and it's great! When ordering groceries to pick up, make sure to wait for the text or call ahead before showing up at your requested time. There are many factors that could cause a wait. I remember one day they were short-staffed so my order was several hours "late" and only half of the items were in stock. I would never take off a star for something like that. The employees were working very hard and how can I not be aware that there has been a drastic increase in grocery pick ups with a pandemic going on. I've never had anything less than a polite and helpful fellow human and neighbor bring out the groceries. Usually the orders are on time and I expect one or two items from my order to be out of stock or substituted. I've never thought it was a big deal, but if you did you could always call before leaving the parking lot. I know people are tense right now, but remember what a service these workers are doing by picking out your food and bringing it out to you... without an extra charge. read more

I really love Albertsons. Sometimes they don't necessarily have the freshest produce and products, but their customer service is second to none. I pretty regularly shop at this Albertsons before work. There is a Starbucks inside with really nice baristas. They have a great selection of stuff here. It is a very large store. Nice bakery, good deli. I can get some cool stuff here like Las Golondrinas tortilla chips, Gringo Bandito hot sauce (my favorite) and mini red velvet dessert tortes made by the Albertson's bakery, yum (see photo) :) Self-checkouts lanes are always open and very easy to use. read more

Seriously this is like the only grocery store in Ladera Ranch (unless you want to drive further). It's pretty hidden with all the tall bushes and trees so I missed it a couple of times, but my iPhone is GENIUS. This place is always stocked and organized. The veggies are always fresh with large selections. Prices are steep compared to local grocery stores in my area. The staff is VERY friendly. They greet you, say goodbye to you, and even bid you a good day. read more

This is my grocery store and it feels like home :) HE he ok that's a bit of an overstatement, it feels close to home. There's this manager there and I suck because I don't know his name, but he is so nice and helpful all of the time. I always have good experiences here, I've asked for help from the meat department a couple of times and a couple other things and they seem to care about you. Cakes - mmmm you cannot go wrong with Albertson's cakes! They are delish... I tried to get my friend to buy one for her wedding but she went boojie on me. Sales associates are consistenly, outstandingly kind. Management is ace here. The woman in front of me today commented on a misunderstanding she had on a sale item (she kindly did so) and the management honored her misunderstanding and offered her the discount she thought she was supposed to get. She was clearly humbled by the experience, and the sales associate and manager acted just as kindly to me as it was my time to check out. Really great attitude from these people, makes running errands that much easier. read more

Stopped by this evening to pick up a few things....but 27 people in front of me with TWO REGISTERS OPEN! I asked why self checkout was closed and they said they had no one to staff it. This store is great, when I am in town, it is my go-to. The deli selection and the bakery section in particular are very good, I get thick cut bacon there and it's cheaper than the packaged stuff. The cookies and cakes they have are all delicious. The aisles are easy to navigate and i haven't not been able to find something. The staff is very helpful. We made a payment mistake at the cashier and headed over to the customer service counter. Although they couldn't find someone right away that was able to help with this specific issue, the head manager came over quickly and was super helpful. We were even checked on by the nearest cashier. The store is nice and cold in the summer, a break from the hot Cali summer days. If I could add a suggestion, they might be able to expand their pet supply section and offer some pet accessories like collars for cats and dogs and maybe some toys. Lately I've noticed that there are many Instacart people shopping here. They have multiple orders when they check out, so it takes about three times longer if you are unlucky enough get sent to be in line behind them. Also, too many people not wearing masks and blatantly going the opposite way down the one way aisles. I would suggest that they need to make a separate line for people checking out w/multiple orders: I do not blame Albertsons for this issue. They are awesome and totally appreciate their service. I shop there about 3 times a week... and it never fails I have to go to the register for a price adjustment! I always have to itemize my receipts because I am always overcharged. I assume this would not be a local store thing, but overall their computers. I only continue to go here as it's very close. The best Albertsons I've been to yet. Things are clean, adequately stocked, and well organized throughout the store. They also feature quite a few good buys on meat that I haven't seen at other Albertsons or some of the other big-box grocers. For instance, they had deals that included BOGO, buy 1 get 2, and even buy 1 get 3 free for certain cuts of meat! That's awesome! Finally, their wine selection is extensive! The guy stocking the wine department was very helpful in directing me to a couple recommendations for my budget. He was very thorough and patient in explaining exactly why I should consider those specific selections from each of the wineries. It's always great to have someone available to lend you a hand in picking out a good bottle of wine when the choices are overwhelming. It looks like they even have a pretty good craft beer selection as well for being Albertsons. Express checkout lines were full but they moved along quickly, and cashier was friendly and courteous. Long time customer of Albertson's Ladera Ranch. Tonight it was a zoo with a lot of empty shelves due to the hoarding for Coronavirus which I understand the store has no control over. The lines for cashiers were very long. Had just a few items and was 7th in line. When I got to 3rd in line the cashier (who knows me well) said she was closed because she was leaving. The bagger said they were not allowed to get overtime. Left my cart and walked out. They were surely not hurting for business and you would think a couple of bucks for over time would not be as important as losing a long time customer. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Expect this at Walmart or Aldi but not Albertsons. Will not be going back. read more
