I always feel like when I go into a Trader Joe's that the store is super small and won't have everything. Yet by the time I get to the checkout the cart is always full, usually including numerous exotic things. I don't really need. This location is always super busy and the location barely seems to fit where it is. Parking is always tight and the store is almost always super crowded. Although I feel like it could be twice as big and still be just as crowded. There are the family favorites that keep us coming back, though, especially the frozen food section and all of the different delicacies they have. The frozen gnocchi is always a hit as well as the latkes. Air frying for the win on those. Overall five stars and would join the hordes of shoppers again. read more

This Trader Joe's location is so nice!! We were running errands in this plaza and decided to stop by the store to check it out. It was really clean and spacious inside, and it wasn't crowded when we got there. They were stocked with a lot of products, and we even found some items that we normally wouldn't find at our local Trader Joe's! We got the mystery pack bags, and this was the first time I've seen it in stock, so I was super excited to get it. They also had the peppermint white russian cut waters, so we had to grab a box because I've been wanting to try this flavor but have never seen it in stores. And we also got a few other grocery items. We were really impressed with this location and will definitely be stopping by whenever we're in the area. read more

Since moving to Ladera, I often look forward to grocery shopping here because I know I'll always walk out with more than intended. From the seasonal snacks to the prepared foods in the frozen section, it gets me excited to try something new that will eventually be a staple in our home. Every trip is an adventure. For example, we really enjoy the Korean short ribs, Vegetable pad thai and various forms of croissants. The chocolate and almond are my faves! Recent likes have been the white cheddar queso, Japanese custard taiyaki, banana pudding ice cream and the assortment of ground or whole coffee beans. This place is always buzzing since it opened, but service is always super helpful and kind. I had trouble finding tofu and I feel like most grocers typically have it near the eggs or in some refrigerated section. Without guidance, I had easily missed it since they were positioned near the protein section on a top shelf. Overall, I enjoy grabbing a few things that make preparing meals a quick fix. it cuts down on meal prep and it's nice to keep a stock of frozen goods in the freezer that are cost effective. Hey just be aware that Trader Joe's selling fake me just bought a two filet mignon pack one was okay no problem the other one look like meat but the internals were like eating a sponge like texture that is not normal once you taste it. The funny thing it looked like meat but felt like I was eating a liver that same texture exactly is what it felt like but this was supposedly meat, so just be aware if you get the taste thing you're not crazy! Shame on you Trader Joe's or your distributor! I will also take a snapshot of this because Trader Joe's has a habit of removing negative reviews on Yelp like they did during covid! I am put it on a different social media if this happens. On this was their Prime Choice selection too not the lowered tear Farm cheap brand. You should never be able to smash me into putting like substance pushing it with your finger see photos! read more

God was so kind to give us this Trader Joe's in Ladera! We love shopping at Trader Joe's because they have a lot of products we prefer to buy (produce is great, sugar free/additive free bacon, etc. etc.). But THIS Trader Joe's tops them all. The store is big and spacious. The aisles are wide and the store is never cramped like some others. Even when there are a lot of people, it never feels crowded or like you're walking around people. (This is huge to me because I actually hate grocery shopping for this reason!). My MIL has two Trader Joe's locations that are closer to her, but she drives to this one because it's so much EASIER to shop at. The workers though! Every single crew member has been so warm, kind, compassionate, and just over-the-top helpful ever since they opened a few months ago. I usually come in with my baby and they are always so sweet to us. There have been SEVERAL times a worker has helped me to my car and loaded my groceries without me asking, just because they saw I had my baby with me. THIS is the #1 reason I love this store. I love most Trader Joes locations, but this one feels smaller (in an oddly good way), and the parking is way more spread out (in a super good way). It's easy to find what I need for a quick in & out experience, or a slow stroll through each aisle. read more

First time shopping at the Trader Joe's in Ladera. What a beautiful store. Everything was so clean and organized. Shopped each isle and found all our favorites. While checking out, we met our cashier "Kendall." What an amazing asset to the Trader Joes team! Seriously! She was so attentive, polite, and heartfelt in conversation. Erik was super helpful in pointing out which wines were best for cooking, drinking, and cooking and drinking. I ended up going with his selection and highly recommended. So excited that Trader Joe's opened up in my neighborhood yesterday! Employees were cheerful and helpful as always. Can't NOT love the wide aisles compared to other smaller stores. They are still figuring out Customer preferences - we found the bread aisle to be pretty bare, but that will change with time. Setup is like a normal TJs, nicely lit and easy to navigate. Walked in at 7:15 pm to do grocery shopping. The vibe felt off and not all that welcoming like the Mission Viejo TJ or even the one in RSM. The staff didn't even smile or greet me when checking out. If anything they looked reluctant to help. Even though I had a full basket, the checker didn't open the holder for the baskets and did not say hello. Thankfully one of the other staff asked if I was ready and she was kind and sweet to tell me the tiramisu needed to be thawed first. I think I'll stick to my Mission Viejo Trader Joe's even though it's further. read more
