Pro tip: you can order halva 2-3 days prior and have it made in small individual servings depending on quantity of people . For non persians reading this: God forbid someone has a funeral, memorial service, celebration of life, "halva " is something that is served along with "khorma" dates with walnuts. People like me, dont know how to make it. So its nice to know if that time comes and its needed , its an option to order ahead of time and have the custom items for our tradition to be available. The guy at the cheese/deli counter was also super helpful with me when ordering my feta bulgar cheese. We love our cheese, with walnuts. So since i was trying this one out, i decided to get a small size with the water in a separate container. Overall i like it here. Only issue, is the pricing. Mission ranch market a few miles down is more cost efficient and lower in cost for the value compared to here. So if you need to grab some items its worth coming here as it's closer. But if you are looking to go full in grocery shopping, i think MR market is better in terms of value and quality. Id come here and see for yourself.

There is Harrison farms which has fresh mushrooms unlike anything you've ever seen! (Think lion's mane, chestnut - amazing) Chaupain bakery comes here. Brother's Dips - has absolutely addicting tips of all flavours, pita bread, and fresh juices and wellness shots - try their dips! They're super addicting, and you'll enjoying having a lunch or dinner of just fresh veggies, pita, and eating these dips. Dana Point fresh seafood (AMAZING quality and you'll feel like a Master Chef when you cook it in the simple and correct way). There's a stand with vegan products, and also locally grown tea/herbs. For some, it's not the wide selection you get like when going to Irvine - but this is fantastic, small, and not too busy (the times we've gone) and has everything you need. You can still blow a lot of money here wanting to try everything. Minimal selection of fresh hot food/lunches - but what does come here, will satisfy anything. Different eateries come, but on the regular, I've seen dumplings, bagels, sausages, noodles, Mexican. It was a horrible experience and I will never, ever be back. The grating mariachi music was so loud that I could hardly hear myself think. Worse yet, every vendor there had their own boombox going, so it was a profoundly unpleasant cacophony of competing trumpets, accordions, and incomprehensible lyrics. The prices were out of control. $12-13 for a dozen eggs. $18/pound for stew beef. FOR STEW BEEF. there were tons of duplicate vendors offering the exact same produce; nothing stood out except for the high prices. The gentleman from MJ Family Farms was quite nice, introduced himself and shook my hand. I appreciate that old-school American way of doing business. Sadly, he is the only vendor there who appeared to care about making a sale. (Simply because of his kind demeanor did I spend $18 for 1 pound of stew beef. Everyone else seemed too busy chatting amongst themselves/other vendors/employees.)

The ambiance was quiet, and the market was much smaller than I had expected. I felt a little awkward at times (as there were more vendors than patrons). What I like about this market is that parking is easy, the area feels safe, and it appears to be dog-friendly, as we saw a few dogs walking around. In terms of the actual selection, we got here in the morning when it opened, and there were maybe 3-4 vendors offering food options (coffee, asian buns, tamales), some baked goods (Croissants, sourdough bread), maybe 3-4 produce vendors (the typical OC produce vendors, pricing seemed similar), and the rest were crafts or specialty food vendor (e.g. granola, tea, pre-made dough). It took about five minutes to walk through the entire market, and nothing really stuck out to me. All in all, it's not a bad place to pick up some produce or stop by if you're in the area, but not a market I would go out of my way for (especially for fresh produce).

There was a performer there playing so great live music. I visited a couple of the booths there and got to try a BBQ pork bun, spam musubi, chili crunch, hummus, greek yogurt, and a croissant from Chaupain's Bakery. Everything was so delicious and it was even better knowing that these were handmade by real people! I ended up leaving with 4 containers of hummus and a loaf of sourdough. The farmers market itself is a bit more on the smaller side with maybe a total of 20 or less vendors. Overall it took about 30 minutes to get to all of the booths.

It is still on Wednesdays from 4-8 pm. Parking is right on the lot, easily accessible, and you can use the clean restrooms in the building immediately next to the stands. Thank goodness for that. Nobody wants to use a porta-potty. The Mediterranean dips are still there, so are the yummy tamales, roasted corn and produce. They do have additional vendors that sell Mexican food, kettle corn, noodles, amongst other things. Many if not all of the vendors take electronic payment. Some probably take cash but I'm not positive on that. The day we went, there was an instrumentalist that played off to the side which was nice. Live music is always welcome. This Farmers market is not bad at all. I've been to slightly bigger but they have definitely grown since they initially opened. It's good to see the community coming together in support of one another. Our family looks forward to Wednesdays at the park. If you have never been, you really should go visit soon.

We decided to go over our bill for the rest of the stuff we bought also and noticed that we were charged for numerous items 2 to 3 times more. This is reverse racism and completely ridiculous. The shop looks clean and well organized. The staff was nice, at least the cashiers were. We came here just to check the place out. It was recommended by a friend of ours.
