When you enter, you will see quite a few people mingling around the Cafe area and they're probably people that visit more than once a week. Ask the staff for recommendations most of them are quite friendly. This is the only place in town that we can find Thai Basil for some of the dishes. We like to prepare at home, which is how we first discovered it. In the back you'll find an amazing amount of fresh sea food and other meats. You will especially find several types of whole fish and prawns, even some quite large ones. You can also get fresh squid to make calamari. The prices are reasonable and butchers will help either fry the food for you filet it so you only take home what you want.

Surprised this was better than Seafood City... much thicker, meatier, and also tender and moist. LA, National/Daly City level quality imo.

Admission was only $6 per person, and children under 2 are free, which makes it an affordable outing for families. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They answered our questions and gave us information about the farm. The barn is on the smaller side, but there were still plenty of animals to see, including ponies, goats, chickens, and sheep. Outside, we also saw a turkey, horses, cows, and a pig. We visited around 11:30 a.m. on a Friday, and at one point we had the entire barn to ourselves, which made it especially enjoyable with our little one. Storytime for little ones is offered on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m. After visiting the animals, we explored the produce market and were impressed by the variety. They had fresh fruits and vegetables, delicious pastries, breads, jams, and lots of other tasty snacks to browse. If it's your first visit, I'd recommend going during one of their scheduled activities so you can experience the tractor ride as well. There was plenty of parking, and I appreciated that they had a changing table available for babies and toddlers, which made the visit even more family-friendly. Overall, it was a relaxing, low-key outing that's perfect for families with young children. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back to experience more of what Tanaka Farms has to offer!

The ambiance was quiet, and the market was much smaller than I had expected. I felt a little awkward at times (as there were more vendors than patrons). What I like about this market is that parking is easy, the area feels safe, and it appears to be dog-friendly, as we saw a few dogs walking around. In terms of the actual selection, we got here in the morning when it opened, and there were maybe 3-4 vendors offering food options (coffee, asian buns, tamales), some baked goods (Croissants, sourdough bread), maybe 3-4 produce vendors (the typical OC produce vendors, pricing seemed similar), and the rest were crafts or specialty food vendor (e.g. granola, tea, pre-made dough). It took about five minutes to walk through the entire market, and nothing really stuck out to me. All in all, it's not a bad place to pick up some produce or stop by if you're in the area, but not a market I would go out of my way for (especially for fresh produce).

This was a really nice farmers market located in the beautiful city of Mission Viejo. It's part of a strip mall so there was plenty of easy-to-find parking. There was a performer there playing so great live music. I visited a couple of the booths there and got to try a BBQ pork bun, spam musubi, chili crunch, hummus, greek yogurt, and a croissant from Chaupain's Bakery. Everything was so delicious and it was even better knowing that these were handmade by real people! I ended up leaving with 4 containers of hummus and a loaf of sourdough. The farmers market itself is a bit more on the smaller side with maybe a total of 20 or less vendors. Overall it took about 30 minutes to get to all of the booths.
