My husband's realtor goes golfing with a guy who shops here frequently. I decided to check it out since my hubby used up all my favorite incense but luckily they had some high quality ones. Aside from the fact that this is a very authentic Indian market, they are incredibly honest people. I lost my wallet in the area, and they kindly found my contact info, and returned my wallet and refused a reward. Bought Haldiram Parathas from this store and to my disappointment, I found mold on it shortly after opening. This is concerning and raises serious doubts about their quality and storage practices. I stopped in on a whim. The samosas at the front looked good. I picked up ice cream, chutney, onions, and crisps. Of course, I got 2 samosas. The store is neat, clean, compact and the staff was lovely. The samosa are amazing with mint(?) And tamarind chutney. New Indian market that opened up in the neighborhood three weeks ago! For a small spot, they surprisingly have a variety of fresh veggies and Indian refrigerated food and frozen items. Best part is they have takeout, and everything is Halal! Have not tried anything off their menu yet but will update my review once I have. Was able to find my favorite brand of basmati rice and parathas here so I'm happy I don't have to drive all the way to Nina's now. Probably about a third of the size of Nina's. Friendly and helpful staff. Will be back soon! read more

Great little neighborhood Indian grocery store with the added benefit of some quick service food. I always run here when I'm out of my Indian spices , vegetables or snacks. The food is also quite good. I'm a fan of the samosas and vijay wada biriyani, but it is quite spicy. That's A-okay for me because I enjoy the heat. I've also had the pepper chicken and butter chicken curries and they were all good. Everything is nicely organized even though it's not a large space. It's also clean. The best part is the staff. They are all super helpful and go out of their way by making suggestions for alternatives. Bonus points for carrying candies popular in India like Smarties, Kit Kat (made by Nestle, not Hersheys) as well as a couple of cricket bats if you were looking for them ! I'd love for the Spencer's team to source Indian or Pakistani mangoes when they are in season. Then, this little store would have it all ! read more

It's funny to see comparisons to Nina's and it's prices. It'll cost the same for the gas to drive to Nina's and pay less. Might as well save time and energy driving there and pay that extra $2 in this store. The food is decent, especially the biryanis are really good. Nina's biryani is not biryani, it's vegetable rice! Granted there is no vast collection of brands but this store is still new and growing. Would give it sometime while they get upto speed. Can't compare new store with well established store of many years. The produce however is always fresh and the store always clean. Either of which was not noticed in Nina's. Your money well spent here. Very happy and excited to have them as our neighbors as it's so close by! read more

It's very clean (probably it's new :) ) and have spread of almost all Indian groceries. The best thing is the Fresh Goat Meat, it is the first time have found fresh goat meat in US and I can closely relate it to Indian goat meat. Groceries though are overprice - Bummer!!! read more

CONS - prices are slightly higher than Nina's, by a few cents to a dollar max - limited brands PROS - quick drive if you live in the neighborhood and saves you from the El Toto traffic - limited brands but the brand you will find will be the best kind ! - guaranteed fresh produce, even the leafy veggies were incredibly fresh whenever I went - mind blowing Biryani ! read more

This review is specifically for their hot food. So spicy but so very deliciously addicting and I don't even know the name of it!! Service was also amazing. The guy helping me was so nice and I was able to sample all the curries they had available that day. In the end, of course I ended up picking the spiciest curry they had! But wow that flavor explosion is so incredibly addicting! I got one serving curry bowl (curry + rice) which was $10.99. Definitely give this place a try for lunch/dinner! read more

You don't get many variety of options for each item for groceries and for vegetables. It's ok for any quick and grab stuff as it's near by. Coming to food they look like new to this kind of business because they have to look at the competetors near by and have it priced accordingly. Especially the weekend snacks are costing 9$ each which is very steep where the same one in Ninas is costing just 6 or 7$ Lastly the daily menu of curries almost stays the same and taste is just ok. read more

The owner asked me to taked down my review but I am giving an honest opinion. If they do not want to improve their services that is their problem. Also he was telling me that the prices are cheaper than Nina when I had not mentioned anything about price in my review. He needs to know who his customers are before he keeps attacking the customer. I will never go again there for anything. I complained about Pani puri which was over salty and also I had tried another time Andra Chicken which was over salty too. Maybe they eat that salty and think it is good for all. Or they should try it themselves before they serve customers. Infact he even asked me where have I ever eaten Andra Chicken and I said yes have eaten it multiple times and as an example I gave Annajanpur Chetinad restaurant name and he said they are more tamil then andra. I have tried it in other south indian restaurants that are not Andra specific and it is good. So dont give me any attitude that only they know what Andra chicken is. I understand they are new but the way he attacked me is not correct. He needs to understand not everyone will give him 5 star even though he is new, infact they need to be much better when new than after several months. And at first I was going to remove my review but now I will not becuase on the way he attacked me. Very unprofessional. Good luck with your business. read more

new Indian market Spencer's is big in India - very nice owners very clean, we found a number of good quality well known products there. have not tried the food hot products yet, but its nice to see a store that has a great variety of frozen foods and packages foods like organic products as well, that you can buy without traveling a long way very convenient. Great to finally see this new business.! We will be returning! read more
