    Cake!!
    Kris B.

So pros and cons... Pros are really nice dessert selection! Cakes by the giant slice that feed two Fresh cookies Mini cute cakes Lots of valentines cookies, good for work friends Chocolate and coconut cream pies Cons are lack of masks inside Cashier had a gaiter on, not a mask - eesh Many customers not wearing masks The pros outweigh the cons But c'mon people it doesn't take a lot of effort to be considerate of others.

    recent flower arrangement.

A legit and affordable Mexican joint in South Orange county. There are a lot of ready-made dishes…read moreas well as your usual antojitos: tacos, tortas, quesadillas, etc. I came in with 4 adults and a child. There was a little bit of a line but line moved fast, waiting for the food is what takes the longest. After you order at the food counter, you wait for your number to be called. Once called, you get all your items and you can order drinks if you want to. We were hungry so we over ordered. This is what we had: 1. Pozole: the soup was so tasty! They provide you with a small container of dry red peppers and oregano. Use it. It gives a nice kick to the soup. The meat was tender and the homini perfectly cooked. The ratio of homini to meat was just right. 2. Pork tamal: the masa was not the best I've had but it was still tasty. I like my pork tamales to have chunks of meat but the one I got was more like a meat mush. 3. Lengua plate: delicious! Came with a side of rice and beans. 4. Cabeza tacos: needed a little salt but cabeza usually does. The meat was very good. Try them with the green salsa. 5. Carnitas tacos: if you like different textures, get it mixed (cuero included). The mix of different parts of the pig is a lot tastier than regular maciza meat. 6. Drinks: horchata and Jamaica. No package drinks here. Horchata tasted home made and Jamaica was solid. Two of the adults had regular coke from the soda fountain (nothing special). 7. Dessert: flan and arroz con leche. Both very delicious and not overly sweet. Desserts can be paid for in the bakery area so no wait here. Unfortunately, I have no pictures of any of the food we ordered. We were so hungry that we started eating right away. The best part of this place was the affordable prices. For everything we ordered we paid ~$70. Not bad considering we had a lot of food, drinks, and desserts. There's counter siting available inside and some tables outside. Bathroom is on premises but I didn't go in so I'm not sure how clean it was or if it was gender neutral.

The store is split between savory and sweet. I ordered a few tacos (carnitas, cabeza, and lengua). The full size tacos are quite large and filling. I have to remember to order the street taco version. The flavor is good and with the salsa it hits the spot. I also ordered the menudo to dip my tacos in. Paired the food with some horchata and agua fresca. The service can be a bit slow, maybe because it is usually busy. One thing to note is that you will need to order the drink with your savory order but pick up is on the other side with the sweets.

We started the morning at their fresh juice window, and let me tell you: the beet-watermelon juice was incredible. Bright, refreshing, and served in reusable jars, which I absolutely loved. Sustainability isn't just a concept here; you see it in every detail. Next, we had a meditation session inside the dome, which was such a peaceful and centering moment. After that, we walked through the orchards, wandered the land, and just took in the beauty of everything this place cultivates. Lunch was where The Ecology Center truly shined. I'm a person from San Francisco, and I do not say this lightly: this was some of the best sourdough I've ever had. Perfectly chewy, soft, flavorful -- absolutely the real deal. They served it as avocado toast and also topped with fresh eggs, and both versions were phenomenal. The entire farm-to-table menu was next-level. The salads were crisp and thoughtful, every ingredient tasted like it had been picked that morning, and the flavors were paired with such care. The sourdough tarts we had for dessert were out of this world -- bright, tangy, and beautifully balanced. We even got to meet the chef, who was warm, talented, and clearly passionate about what she creates. You can taste that love in every bite. This was an epic meal and an unforgettable experience. If you want to truly taste what food is supposed to taste like -- fresh, intentional, and deeply connected to the land -- The Ecology Center should be at the top of your list.

I came here for the strawberry picking experience and loved every second of it. Two minutes in, I was having so much fun! This space draws me close to what I want to be doing in this life. I'll absolutely be volunteering here and seeing what else will be added to such a beautiful place! I highly recommend the Ecology Center.

It had almost everything you might need for those last-minute "Oops, I forgot this" moments. And when I say small, I mean it's very compact--only single file to get in and out, with the aisles running parallel to the front counter. Since I'm not very familiar with Mexican groceries, half of the items were new to me, but they had coffee, honey, paper goods, some fruits and vegetables, and more. As we were leaving, we noticed a small table with various produce items, including cactus leaves. An older gentleman, who was just finishing up with a customer, was behind the counter. Friend: "Excuse me, what is this?" (Pointing to a small, round green fruit in a box on the table) Me: "That is for juice, for drinking..." Cool. As we left the market, I saw the same gentleman exit through a side door and start ladling a liquid mix into a Styrofoam cup. He waved me over and handed me the cup, which surprised me by being warm. "This is made once a year for her..." he said, pointing to a memorial for a woman that I could partially see on the right side of the store. At first, I thought it was a ceremonial drink in honor of a family member or friend who had passed away. The drink contained the fruit we'd seen on the table and chunks of sugar cane. I wasn't sure what it was called or what else was in it. When I tried to eat the fruit, I was met with a mouthful of tiny seeds (Note to self: don't eat the fruit pieces). The drink itself was mild in flavor and not very sweet. VH took a sip and made a face--she can be quite dramatic, so I didn't take her reaction too seriously. LOL I liked the shop! The people, from the clientele to the older man, were friendly, even though I clearly didn't fit the usual demographic. It felt like a warm, welcoming place. Food: 3 Ambiance: 3 Service: 4 Value: 3

His attitude alone completely ruined what had been a good day for me. As an Asian customer, I couldn't help but feel like I was being treated differently, which is deeply concerning. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also raises serious questions about how customers are being treated. The contrast with the Irvine locations is striking--the staff there are consistently friendly, respectful, and hardworking. The San Clemente store clearly falls far below that standard.
