This 5 star review goes out to Isabella in the floral department. Did you know you can get custom floral arrangements done at Vons for a fraction of the cost of florist? I didn't either so it was a happy accident running into Isabella in the floral department 2 weeks before my wedding while I was looking to see if there was anything "off the shelf" that would work. She asked me what I was looking for and said she could make custom arrangements for me. I had no idea she could also do a bridal bouquet for me. We discussed my budget and she texted me pictures the day before to make sure everything was ok and I picked them up the next morning and got a little teary looking at them they were so beautiful and perfect! The 1 star is all about checking out and the survey they have on the credit card machine. I mean really! Get rid of that. I do not want to take a survey before I can pay for my groceries. Even the checkout person kept hitting the "skip" button after I started to answer the questions just to get me out of there because she could see I was frustrated. This review is strictly for the floral department. I wanted to give a shout out to Isabella who created 2 beautiful bouquets for me. I planned a surprise vow renewal for my 35th wedding anniversary. I checked with a couple of local florists to make a small bouquet for me and a miniature one for my 3 year old grand daughter to hold. The florists I called wanted between $100 - $150 for my bouquet and $50 - $75 for the mini. I was shocked! I'm standing in the grocery story looking at bunches of beautiful roses and greenery for $15 each so I mention my situation to Isabella who says, I would love to make the bouquets for you! They didn't have eucalyptus so she even went to another store to get some because she thought it would look good. The end result was BEAUTIFUL and the price fantastic! Thanks so much Isabella. Today I shopped here. At the cashier the lady (petite Latino, 40ish) and the boxer girl (petite , your, 18ish) conducted a conversation in spanish and totaly ignored the customers. She did make a mistake, corrected and continued her conversation in spanish . Never said sorry or anything. The boxer girl said 'Thank you" at the end. I am disapointed in the service. On the other hand 99% of the time I am very happy w all your employees. Just shocked at todays attitude of non caring.
