Once called, you get all your items and you can order drinks if you want to. We were hungry so we over ordered. This is what we had: 1. Pozole: the soup was so tasty! They provide you with a small container of dry red peppers and oregano. Use it. It gives a nice kick to the soup. The meat was tender and the homini perfectly cooked. The ratio of homini to meat was just right. 2. Pork tamal: the masa was not the best I've had but it was still tasty. I like my pork tamales to have chunks of meat but the one I got was more like a meat mush. 3. Lengua plate: delicious! Came with a side of rice and beans. 4. Cabeza tacos: needed a little salt but cabeza usually does. The meat was very good. Try them with the green salsa. 5. Carnitas tacos: if you like different textures, get it mixed (cuero included). The mix of different parts of the pig is a lot tastier than regular maciza meat. 6. Drinks: horchata and Jamaica. No package drinks here. Horchata tasted home made and Jamaica was solid. Two of the adults had regular coke from the soda fountain (nothing special). 7. Dessert: flan and arroz con leche. Both very delicious and not overly sweet. Desserts can be paid for in the bakery area so no wait here. Unfortunately, I have no pictures of any of the food we ordered. We were so hungry that we started eating right away. The best part of this place was the affordable prices. For everything we ordered we paid ~$70. Not bad considering we had a lot of food, drinks, and desserts. There's counter siting available inside and some tables outside. Bathroom is on premises but I didn't go in so I'm not sure how clean it was or if it was gender neutral.

Paired the food with some horchata and agua fresca. The service can be a bit slow, maybe because it is usually busy. After that, we walked through the orchards, wandered the land, and just took in the beauty of everything this place cultivates. Lunch was where The Ecology Center truly shined. I'm a person from San Francisco, and I do not say this lightly: this was some of the best sourdough I've ever had. Perfectly chewy, soft, flavorful -- absolutely the real deal. They served it as avocado toast and also topped with fresh eggs, and both versions were phenomenal. The entire farm-to-table menu was next-level. The salads were crisp and thoughtful, every ingredient tasted like it had been picked that morning, and the flavors were paired with such care. The sourdough tarts we had for dessert were out of this world -- bright, tangy, and beautifully balanced. He said "oh no well those would've been removed this morning" because there was some sort of fire in the meat department and the butcher area was all shut down. I asked if I could just go back and swap them for non expired meat. Lo and behold, ALL the meat on the shelf was expired! So I asked if he could check if there was any non expired grass-fed ground beef in the back. He said all the workers are gone for the day because of the fire. I mentioned that hes the manager and could probably check himself. He went in the back, came out, and said theres no non expired ground beef in the back and gave me a refund slip plus a $10 off coupon. Seriously, for the general markup Gelsons has for being a higher end store, you'd really think they'd try harder.

From snacks to salads to basically anything you might have forgotten in your toiletry bag. Price is always right, service from all clerks and cashiers are very consistent whenever you visit any Trader Joe's in any state. What I didn't expect to see was crowds and crowds of customers at this location, and the store clerks were extra friendly. Also bought a bunch of reusable canvas bags to use on the way home and more to give away as gifts. Trader Joe's is always a must go whenever on the US Mainland.

This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also raises serious questions about how customers are being treated. The contrast with the Irvine locations is striking--the staff there are consistently friendly, respectful, and hardworking. The San Clemente store clearly falls far below that standard. Management seriously needs to address this and provide proper staff training.
