Just like any Albertsons except they need to teach their deli people customer service. I was standing there looking at meats for 5 mins(fine, no other customers but I made up my mind) while two employees who saw me sat there and finished their convo down at the end of the deli. But then some customer came out of nowhere and walked up to the hot food end by them and NOW they began helping? .skip me right? No thanks read more

The pharmacy on Del Obispo in Dana Point does not stand by the products they sell. The last refill meds I bought there is different from a previous one and does not work, but the pharmacist would not give me a refund. read more

If you're doing a cake for a special occasion, stay away! Pre-ordered a cake and when I picked it up it looked like a child decorated it and did the writing I asked for the writing to be removed and done over although was told they could not do it as it would mess the icing up. People at the party noticed as well, and you can bet they know that it did come from this store, and they will not be chancing it for their special occasion cakes. As a sidenote, it tasted as if it was made the night before as well. Original order stated I would pick it up in the afternoon, that should've been plenty of time to bake it that morning. read more

Be careful when you purchase items from this store. I cannot count how many times I have come home and found several things in my bag expired. They do not throw out expired food! I just recently purchased a dozen eggs and it expired 2 months before. I bought some Babybel cheese that expired one month before. And today again I purchased salsa that had expired more than a month before. It's disgusting. Check your expiration dates!!! read more

The other day I went to Starbucks. There was a very sweet older woman working by herself. It was busy. She had to make many drinks at a time while juggling a line of orders. Also, some of the products used to make certain drinks ran out. She not only had to make many orders at a time and deal with a line of people who were already impatient, but she also had to deliver bad news to customers that some drinks were not available. She should have had another employee there to make the drinks while she took orders and she should have been given the proper resources to make all of the drinks. I felt truly stressed on her behalf. I feel like the management team set her up to fail. I hope to see her working conditions improve. read more

Got sick from eating sushi. They refused to refund cost. Previous manager was rude and argumentative. Poor sanitation. Just go look behind the store or in the back room of the store. Even saw a rat where the Albertsons's trucks unload. read more

I gave them one star because even though the staff provides excellent customer service, it only takes one bad apple ... I love everyone there, from the produce guys who help me pick my fruit to the cashiers and the helpful baggers. BUT... one too many times I have been disrespected and treated poorly by one of their long time cashiers, Corinne. I stopped shopping there for several months and now I only go occasionally for convenience when I'm crimped on time (it's literally across the st. from my house, maybe 20 ft away) but I'm driving up a ways to go to the local Ralphs because I am so fed up with this woman being short with me, condescending, and outright rude - as well as incompetent with procedures she should have down pat after so many yrs. This woman does not belong in customer service. She's MOODY and she brings the moodiness to her job, and gives this store a bad rap. I finally had enough the last time I dealt with her and I called the store. This did no good whatsoever. The "Assistant Mgr" who answered the phone. didnt ask me my name or ask for my number to follow up, he also made sure to tell me everybody but me LOVES her - which i thought was really unprofessional. The lack of understanding I received from him (along with my bad experiences with her,) was the final straw. That was about 3 months ago. If you figure we were going there a "minimum" of once a week and we never spend less than $150-200, they lost a lot of our business because of her. And thats just my family. How many other families have stopped shopping thyere because of her??? I will commend those there that are not included in this one star rating: LeeLee, who always smiles, and gives my daughters stickers and balloons :) and the 2 produce men that are always so willing to help with any questions you may have . There are many great employees here, its a shame they have someone so rude amongst them. read more

I'm happy with both this store & Ralphs in Dana Point. I eat a vegan diet & am so happy that this store carries a lot of my healthy weekly staples without always having to drive to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. There are some specialty items I stock up on elsewhere. It's right around the corner from my house. The cashiers are super friendly, nobody seemed to be having a bad day. They carry flowers, the produce is great including prepared/chopped options. Couldn't find sprouted grain bread but the sandwich thins looked good so I got those instead. They were out of light coconut milk, but I'll make do without & grabbed some fancy looking soy wraps while in the asian ethnic section. read more

This store must be the place where albertsons sends its worst employees. It is truly unbelievable. I managed grocery stores for many years and am astonished that this company does not transfer some of these long term employees out to other stores. The front end of this store is run so badly, with such a lack of courtesy or care that I have more than once simply left my groceries on the check stand and driven down the street to Ralphs. I have also gone through the checkstand without the cashier saying a word to me, but I have been able to learn a great deal about their personal lives as they talk amongst themselves, oblivious to their customers. I now simply drive past this store, and go anywhere but here. I strongly suggest that you do the same. It is the worst retail store I have ever been in, absolutely appalling! read more

I live literally right across the street from this Albertsons so it's very convenient. When I first started shopping here some of the staff with so nasty and just didn't want to be there ,but now they have friendly staff and I would never want to shop anywhere else when I do have a problem it is rectified efficiently and with a smile. both the managers are amazing guys , and the people up front at the cash registers are just awesome people such as Stephanie, Caitlin who is now out on maternity leave we miss you and wish you the best, Anna and Casey . The women in the bakery if I need something special such as bread bowls for our clam chowder they will make it for me I love that. The people in produce banana James . I walked in the store knowing that the people who are helping me care about their job and care about the customers . One thing I do wish is it there was more organic in the baby aisle. read more

I went out of my way to use their "buy one, get two free" coupon for their seasoned, skinless, boneless chicken breasts. The rack had seasoned chicken that was not clearly marked and was not the chicken on sale. On further investigation the butcher told me it was the non-seasoned chicken in the case in front of me, but that he had to season it and then it would be on sale. The price for the non-seasoned chicken was 2.99 per/lb. I thought how wonderful. He cleaned them up and seasoned them right in front of me with the same spice I could have bought for a nominal fee. While he worked on the chicken I started to tell everyone who walked by about this sale. When he went to hand me the chicken he had a funny look on his face and informed me the chicken was now 10.99 per/lb. Needless to say I left without any chicken. Shame on them for making this information so hard to obtain. If I wanted to experience a 'slight of hand' magic trick, I'd go to Las Vegas! read more

Worst freak'n grocery store in america! I live near here and have avoided it for years, driving way out of my way in order to protest. This store is so poorly layed out. The lines are crazy long (way under staffed) no matter the time of day. The employees seem to hate it there and seem uninspired. The final issue is that there were so many times that i would go there and they would be out of one or two items that i'd need on every grocery run. It was so bad that one time i went there and they were out of salt. How can that be? I never went back... Best of luck if you shop here. I'll see you up at Ralph's getting the few items they were probably out of like, Milk, Bread, Cereal, etc. ;-) read more

This store has really gone down hill. It was my childhood store growing up nearby and always was our number 1 store to go to. Without rambling about all the crap we've run into there when we HAVE to go there, I'll just say, watch out for the sell by or use by dates....got packaged crab legs from service/meat department area and it was a "managers special" for like $4 off original price. Looked good to us so we got it. When we opened them up that night, the meat was yellow and smelled atrocious!! Contacted Albertson's customer service and have not heard a word back. Took pictures to show them and all. Ridiculous and scary. Watch those dates, folks! read more

The staff who work at the butcher block are the friendliest and nicest people I have ever encountered at a grocery store. I was blown away when one young man came around to help me search for something. The gal who was checking out my groceries was nice enough. However on TWO occasions I have run into the same bright blonde lady who is probably in her mid fourties. This woman clearly hates her job and everyone shopping at this store. She has rolled her eyes at my reusable bags when I asked her to keep all the raw meat in one specific bag. (So I know which bag to clean after) she's very rude and ended my shopping trip on a bad note. read more
