Delicious BBQ. We made it in time for happy hour and sat in the bar area. We tried the fries and wings. I would highly recommend all three. Staying in Tulsa for business, and came across this place! And so glad we did! The place is clean as can be. We were seated immediately in a great little booth. The menu had lots of different bbq choices. We had the chopped brisket and it was amazing! I got the Mac and cheese and the sweet potato waffle fries for my sides, and they were both great. There must have been 8 different sides to choose from, so there is something for everyone!! The food comes very quickly, which was nice. Been coming here for years. It's handy (sitting next to McNellie's which we also love). Recently we discovered that adults can order off the kid's menu which has a smaller, but perfect size for us. Our waitress today was Erika, whom always does a great job and is friendly and efficient. My partner got a Dr. Pepper ($2.50) which was refilled twice, and the Kids Rib Dinner with Cole Slaw for $7. I got a Dead Armadillo Amber ($5) and the Kids Turkey Sandwich (no bread) with French Fries for $7. We hit the pickle bar for som dill spears, bread & butter pickles and onions. It's a beautiful, big place with many large screen TVs and a nice bar area. It's always very clean and I've never had a problem parking on the street pretty much right in front of the door. Parking is free after 5pm and on weekends. I've got the ParkMobile app on my phone and I can quickly park so no kiosk/no ticket. It's only $1 per hour. Went in for a late lunch. This is a nice clean place with a nice atmosphere. I ordered the three meat dinner. Sliced brisket, turkey and ribs. It comes with two sides, so I had the fried okra and steamed broccoli. The meal comes on a platter with some bread. There is a pickle, pepper and onion bar available. The meat was served dry. Sauces are available on the table. I don't eat the sugar sauces, so the Carolina Mustard based sauce was the one for me. I try to limit the sauce because I want to taste the food, not the sauce. The sliced brisket was tasty. It did tend to run a bit dry, so I used a little sauce. The turkey had a really good flavor, but also a bit dry without a little sauce. I enjoyed the ribs with no sauce. They weren't falling off the bone, but they were tasty and well prepared if not a tad small. I could not get over the quantity and super taste of the okra. It was some of the best I've had in a restaurant. There was plenty of it. The broccoli was good. You'll want to eat the broccoli before it cools. I do a lot of traveling, so I can honestly say the price was pretty fair for what I received. Hands down, the best thing about this visit was the server. Albert G's downtown is our go to for bar b que. The atmosphere is casual, the ribs are excellent and we LOVE the sides. The potato salad is the best I've had. . . . anywhere! Usually, ordering a salad for a side in a bar b que restaurant is not a good choice but not so at Albert G's. The pickle bar is a nice touch, as well. A group of us were dining here when all of the sudden a drunk man came stumbling into the restaurant. This man harassed multiple customers, including our table. The wait staff, along the manager onsite named Javier, laughed it off. This man was incoherent and the bar kept feeding him drinks. The manager finally called the cops and the patron ended up leaving. After complaining, Javier asked our table if we wanted a discount after being harassed by another customer in his own restaurant. We said yes and he came back and told us that he gave us a $13 discount because we ordered "the most expensive thing on the menu and he didn't want to screw over his restaurant." This guy is clearly well trained in customer service. Can you say Yikes? I could never imagine coming back to this establishment. Oh my OH my! Albert G's has the best ribs in Oklahoma. They were smokey and had the perfect texture to them. We came here while food hopping and shared a three meat plate with brisket, ribs, hotlink, potato salad and sweet potato fries. Everything was perfectly seasoned. After thinking we were just gonna share a snack here as part of our food hop ventures, our bellies were too full to stick to the original plan. And that is definitely nothing to complain about. "Pickle bar" had 2 types of pickles, savory spears and sweet slices ‍ As far as the bbq went, I would take this over a fast food place like Van's but it's not really anything special. They did have crunchy fries and I was impressed with the hot links. Other than that, everything was just a little medium. Also, the booths are a little snug (just being plus sized and often having an infant carrier with me, I like knowing that in advance). And the pork was tender. The ribs and pork were maybe 5% too dry but it was the end of the day so likely it was smoked many hours ago. Still, not bad. Kenzie was friendly and attentive. Checked on me 3 times after my food showed up. The Mac n cheese was basic bob evans like you'd get from the grocery store. Nothing special about it. Officially I am removing this BBQ joint as any I want to patron again. Second worst customer service I have ever received. When we walked in we were greeted and seated immediately, and after that is where the customer service took an absolute dive. The server has zero skills when it comes to customer service, and I say this because this was the 3rd time being graced by his presence and there is no service in him. He asks "wanna drink?", then when he brought the drinks over, he asks "know what you want to eat?" and that is that. No checking on the quality of the food, no checking to see if there is anything else, no good customer service beyond asking your drink and what you want to eat. I know that working customer service jobs can be tough, but when your tips are based on that, you might rethink your strategy. read more

When I entered the restaurant I had to wait over a minute while the hostas dealt with somebody on the phone. Then I was showing my seat where I waited up to 2 1/2 to 3 minutes and no one came over to my table. There was six employees that I counted and I was the only customer in the restaurant.
