My family and I had a really positive experience eating at Alba. Not only was the food great, but the service was excellent and the owner, Kiran(sp?), was very friendly and came to talk to us multiple times to check in and just to chat. We had the calamari and bruschetta for starters, both good, and would recommend the gnocchi and carbonara pastas as well. Also because it's on the second floor you get a decent view of the mountains out the window! read more

Unbelievable food. Great service from James who made us feel at home. I regret not finding this place three nights ago because their menu has that many great options. The prices are a steal for the deliciousness of food. I recommend starting here because its unlikely you'll find anything better!! We had the gnocchi, crostini, and mezze rigatoni. read more

Great calamari and garlic bread just right. Gnocchi sauce a bit too sweet for my tastebuds. Carbonara dish delicious. Great service for being so busy. Would go back. read more

I had the steak: it was well done but nothing special. My wife had the seafood pasta: the mussels were a little overcooked. The best beer they had on tab was Molson, and I didn't check out the wine selection. The staff and service were great. Food was Ok, prices were tourist standard. read more

ALBA is located on the 2nd floor and has a very nice view of Jasper. When we were there we could see a rainbow and made the experience more interesting! We ordered the rigatoni and the carrot soup. Loved both! read more

Excellent !! We are so happy we came tonight! My husbands lamb shank was excellent. My carpaccio was perfect and seasoned well. Our server was gracious and we enjoyed eating outside ! Definitely a must for jasper eating ! read more

Bolognese was on point! Did not expect to find great pasta in this small town. The sauce was perfectly made and well incorporated into the pasta. The mushroom ravioli was also splendid. Perfectly cooked and I just wish I got more. If you want fresh pasta in Jasper check this place out. read more

We ordered a lamb leg and couple of kids meal spaghetti with meatballs. The price is a little high but this is jasper and that what you can expect. We came in 30 mins before closing but they didn't mind at all. The food was good and the server was attentive, would recommend for anyone who comes visit and want a nice meal read more

Amazing inventive food! Fantastic service! Would recommend this Italian restaurant- you won't be disappointed!

Portions were large! Had the pasta carbonara and lamb shank and both were delicious. We were celebrating our honeymoon and they were so sweet to have surprised us with a complimentary chocolate fudge cake dessert. Great service and enjoyed the balcony. read more

After a long day of hiking, we decided to stop at Jasper to do some souvenir shopping and also to grab some dinner. We decided we were in the mood for pasta and decided to dine at ALBA. We had the mushroom ravioli and the carbonara. Both were excellent. The service was spot on. Great wine suggestions. Overall a wonderful experience. Highly recommend for dinner after a day of hiking in Jasper National Park. read more

Words cannot even begin to describe how good this place was. Their gnocchi pasta was, by far, the best I have ever tasted (the Gnocchi Parmigiana). The Carbonara a la Jasper spaghetti dish was top notch as well. Service was excellent-- the waitress was very kind and helpful. The view was BEAUTIFUL outside on the 2nd story deck with a view of the mountain ranges and the charming street below. ALBA had ample seating and the decor was pretty and upscale. Would definitely recommend for everyone, whether you prefer Italian food or not. read more

The reviews are spot on - this place is a gem! Our party of 13 devoured all of our dishes - there was not a single morsel left! I recommend the oxtail pappardelle and the mushroom ravioli. We're well traveled and this place would be a 4-5 place in any major US and Canadian city. The service was impeccable. read more

Yesterday Me and my family visited Alba. Why kids LOVED the kids and my wife tasted it and liked it as well. I ate in a lot of Italian restaurants in my life in a guarantee you this is one of the best I've ever visited. I had the lamb shanks in they were awesome. My wife had the duck and she loved it said it was one of the best ducks she every head!! read more

We decided to try Alba last night based on some of the good reviews. We made a reservation, but it wasn't necessary as walk ins appeared to be seated right away. When we were seated our waiter came over and brought the menu's. A short time later he returned and immediately asked if we were ready to order, we asked if we could at least order a drink first. After our drinks arrived we then ordered our meals and two appetizers, the Calamari, which was okay and the bread with oil and vinegar, let's just say we wouldn't order it again. It was like getting garlic toast without the garlic, not great for dipping. After waiting well over an hour and watching other tables which came in after us (including a table of 8) order, eat their meals, pay and leave, the other waiters started looking at us and questioning why we were not eating. Finally the waiter came over apologized and said he told the kitchen to put a rush on our meals - to little to late. Our meals arrived but by that time no one was very hungry and we left lots on our plates. If you are looking for a true Italian restaurant- this is not it. read more

Amazing food! Beautiful view. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Husband had the lamb shank which was amazing, and I had the ox tail which was just as good. The owner was the chef at Jasper Park Lodge so you know that the quality of service and food will be above board. Highly recommend! ***** read more

Went here for dinner with my girlfriend and was very impressed! The server was very knowledgeable on the menu and gave us great recommendations for the food. At the end of the meal, the owner gave my girlfriend and I champagne for being "the most romantic couple"! So thoughtful and nice of them. Overall was an outstanding experience. read more

The staff was amazing and extremely attentive and the music was super great. However, I ordered the gnocchi and the arancini and both were clearly not made in house (ie frozen). Did not taste good and both were very gummy and had a weird texture. The sauce on the gnocchi was great (which on the menu they said they made) but overall really disappointed as this is listed as the number 1 restaurant in jasper. read more

I had the carrot ginger soup, which was very good, and the mushroom ravioli. The latter was somewhat disappointing because the sauce was too heavy and cheesy (and then lots of parmesan sprinkled on top). If you took the same ravioli and put a different sauce on it, such as pesto, or even olive oil with a dusting of cheese, the dish would have been better. Service was quite good. read more

Came here after a long day of rafting for some warm Italian food. It was exceptional the staff was very welcoming, food was amazing, and was overall a great place. Friendly people, great food, cozy environment what else do I need to say. Give alba a go and you won't be disappointed! read more

Very homie Italian restaurants. Friendly staff and good amount of healthy food. The oxtail pasta was our favorite!

My family and I came here for a birthday dinner and we were very pleased with the food and drinks -- we ordered the crostini platter, calamari, gnocchi, carbonara, mezzo rigatoni, and the duck, all were delicious and very generous portion sizes. The service was outstanding. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and quick. Additionally, I accidentally left my wallet at the restaurant and the manager went to great lengths to make sure my wallet was mailed back to me (internationally) in a timely manner. Overall, highly recommend this restaurant! read more

The food here was really excellent. 5 stars for the food. Not what u expect when you walk in, I would give the ambiance 3 stars. The pastas where really good. Carbonara is a recommendation, we thought the Star was the mezzanine rigatoni. We also had the charcuterie platter to share, which I can recommend. I had the lamb, excellent. read more

Fantastic pasta with seafood. Beer selection is good. Steak dishes great and the service is outstanding family style . Simple unpretentious fare. Only issue is air conditioning - there is none and the evening we went was 85F . read more

Nothing horrible but nothing great. I had the special Fish Pot. I asked what the broth base was and was told lobster. It had more of a tomato fish broth and was just ok. My wife took another recommendation and had the mushroom ravioli. Again, just ok. I went by the reviews and wish we'd just had a good burger. read more

Outstanding dining. Attentive service from the host to the server. The food was overall excellent. Exceptional carrot ginger soup. The wild mushroom ravioli was very good and the duck cooked medium was incredible, savory, neither gamey nor tough. My only regret is that is is a 5,000 kilometer round trip from Southern Utah. read more

This was probably one of the best Italian restaurant I have enjoyed. I would highly recommend. Service is suburb, atmosphere relaxing and delightful. I would love to go again. read more

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed dinner here. The restaurant is on the second floor overlooking the busy street and has a great mountain view. Great for people-watching or enjoying the view. It was very nice to sit outside on the patio deck. Everything sounded so good on the menu and we had trouble deciding what to get. So, we came back the next night. The carbonara was the best we have ever had. The veal shank was meaty and satisfying. Buon appetito, read more

Popped in after a long day of hiking. The food was delicious! The kid's menu had a pasta with a cream sauce that was yummy; my kid inhaled it. The calamari was hot, but could have been a tad crispier. The beef carpaccio was good but needed to have some toasted bread with it. You can definitely taste the coffee that they use in the rub but it's not over-powering. Dark chocolate cheesecake was good but the orange jelly was a bit strange and didn't really compliment the cheesecake. Tiramisu was one of the best we've ever had. Very light and the coffee flavor was just enough. Service was excellent! read more

Highly recommend this restaurant. I came here in June with my mom and we loved it. We split the mushroom ravioli and mezze rigatoni, both were incredible. The owner was so nice and came over to our table several times. Our waitress Zuzanna was also incredible. They want the restaurant to be a type of Italian Canadian fusion and they definitely have accomplished it. If you are looking for a quaint restaurant with great food, this is it! read more

Hi there! The staff here are kind hearted and attentive...but I don't know who can say this place offers atmosphere. This place has zero atmosphere...inappropriate music...and the kitchen fan is the most obtrusive sound I have ever heard...the food is interesting and offers an eclectic array of offerings and spices, but without warmth and inviting surroundings, this place does not offer value for money when you are looking for an enjoyable evening out. Wish I could say better things...location and views are unbeatable. read more

Amazing food and service! Great experience, had the steak with their style of caeser and it was all great!! Rest of our table was very impressed as well. read more

Just ate at ALBA restaurant tonight after seeing all the amazing reviews on YELP. The reviews did not disappoint, our entire experience from the staff to all the food we enjoyed was great. Their Caesar cocktail was one of the best I have had, delicious with the unique seasoning and use of pomodoro sauce to give it a distinct flavour. We had the meatballs and risotto balls to start with the salmon and duck for dinner, everything was amazing. We finished with the chocolate ganache cheesecake which was incredible. Wish we found ALBA earlier on our trip to Jasper, but will make sure to return any time we are back here. read more

We wandered into this wonderful restaurant after seeing a sandwich board on the street that directed us upstairs - it's worth the climb! The food was incredible, but the service even better. We were served by the owner of the restaurant, who works beside and even harder than all his employees. We had two incredible dishes - duck confit pasta was something we'll never forget! A relaxed atmosphere. We finished the dinner with a glass of limoncello. Even if you live in the States, this place is worth the drive! read more
