Luxury Prices, Dark Alley Vibes…read more If you've ever wanted to pay top dollar to store your stuff in what feels like the set of a post-apocalyptic rat documentary, congratulations--you've found your dream spot. First off, the price? Hilarious. You'd think for this kind of money, they'd throw in some basics like, I don't know, a working lightbulb or doors that serve their purpose. But nope! The moment the sun sets, the place turns into a pitch-black horror maze where even the rats carry flashlights. The rats. They are the true tenants here. Judging by the sheer volume of droppings, these guys are living large. And the locks and doors? Let's say I've seen rust with more structural integrity. If I sneezed too hard, the hinges would probably fall off. Honestly, I'm not sure if I rented a storage unit or accidentally leased an abandoned meat locker from the '70s. All in all, if you're looking for expensive disappointment, mild tetanus risk, and rodent roommates, look no further. Otherwise, maybe keep driving and try literally anywhere else. Would I recommend? Only if you hate your belongings.

This review is based on my own experience with this company directly and indirectly, along with…read morecompelling reasons why local businesses are so vital. We have lived in Garland 40 years; I live near the facility on Crist Road. I have both a storage unit and a trailer parked there. One night or early morning the trailer was stolen, and they were "ON IT". Called us in the middle of the night, showed my husband and GPD great video footage of how they broke into the gate and shows them driving off with the trailer. We were able to get the trailer back unharmed due to their quick action. When you call them, they answer the phone personally day or night. The prices are lower that the conglomerate chain on average as they save in the marketing area due to superior service, word of mouth keeps them full. They have a fair agreement plan, and do not try to lock you in a contract for a specific time frame. The business ethics alone are outstanding and again, I say this is a direct result of being a small business and the importance it has. I don't know this as fact, but I am sure that many times the owner has been approached to sell to a big national or even global company but chose not to. Tells you volumes right there; she cared more about her customers, her community, and city by not "selling out". Who knows how rich she could have been taking one of those deals. These are the OPITIME of people we want in our city. Virtue and common sense, turns out have real impact. Here are a few other reasons: Economic Impact Job creation: Local businesses are major employers. They often provide jobs to people in the community, helping reduce unemployment and boost local income. Money stays local: When you shop locally, more of your money stays in your community. Local business owners are more likely to spend their earnings locally, which keeps the economic cycle flowing. Better Customer Service Small businesses often offer more personalized, friendly service because they value their relationships with local customers. They tend to go the extra mile because their reputation in the community matters. Community Character and Identity Local businesses contribute to the unique charm and personality of a town or neighborhood. Support for Local Causes Local business owners are more likely to support schools, charities, and community events. They're often the sponsors behind local sports teams, festivals, or fundraising events. The bottom line is that locally owned businesses have a much more vested interest in the community on every level and will look out for the interest of the community over that of a national chain like Walgreens or Walmart I can't say enough good things about the personal customer service, easy terms, and fair pricing. The security system is top notch, cameras everywhere keeping everyone honest who comes in and out. The only downside (minus 1 star) is the facility is not 24/7. Personally I travel a lot and I like the ability to access a storage at any hour however when you consider the customer service, security of the facility its really a no brainer if you live close to the area. I do like the ability to manage your unit online, which includes payments and setting up auto pay. Be aware, you should time your move out wisely. Rent is due monthly on the 1st and if you move out after the 1st the remainder of your rent is forfeited as they do not pro rate for move outs.
