Because of the weather, it was not safe to move my belongings on the 24th and 25th. I also work two jobs and return home at 9:30 PM every day, which made it even more difficult to reschedule immediately. My move-out date was January 31st. I respectfully asked the sales associate if I could have just one extra day, until February 1st, to complete my move due to the snowstorm. I was told that if I moved out on February 1st, I would be charged for the entire month. I asked to speak with the Manager or District Manager, hoping for some understanding. Unfortunately, I received the same response -- no flexibility, and I would still be charged for a full month. I previously rented with Extra Space Storage in Weatherford, and they provided a five-day grace period even when the weather was clear and sunny. That experience showed consideration for customers. At this location, I felt that customer service was not a priority. There was no empathy or willingness to help during a difficult situation. The staff was not friendly or understanding. When a customer is facing bad weather and personal challenges, there should be some level of flexibility and basic courtesy. This experience has been very frustrating and disappointing. I hope management seriously reviews how they treat their customers in situations like this. "Because of this experience, I cannot recommend Public Storage to others."

The Storage Choice Design District location is very new (I remember seeing it get built) and still has that 'new building smell and look' to it. Parking for unloading was convenient and near the elevators, and access to complimentary dollys made unloading quick and easy. The actual rental process was very easy and thoroughly explained by John H., the property manager on site. I felt very comfortable in choosing this location to store my items. You have access to your storage from 5am - 9pm daily. Which is not too bad and quite understandable when you consider the area. Personally I travel a lot and I like the ability to access a storage at any hour however when you consider the customer service, security of the facility its really a no brainer if you live close to the area. I do like the ability to manage your unit online, which includes payments and setting up auto pay. Be aware, you should time your move out wisely. Rent is due monthly on the 1st and if you move out after the 1st the remainder of your rent is forfeited as they do not pro rate for move outs.
