I made a reservation on October 29th 2024 for a mid size vehicle. 2 hours before I arrived flying in from out of state, I received a message from a employee's stating they don't have a vehicle for me to rent and said they are sold out and named other car rentals within the airport I could call. Are you kidding me. I returned the call and it appears it was an employees personal phone. I landed in Tulsa to see the rental counter empty and I asked another rental who said they all have been sold out for days due to a tourist convention. Thanks Alamo for causing my 80 year old mother and I stress. We had to uber 1.5 hours away due to your lack of efficiency and poor customer service. Horrible stay away from Alamo. read more

I had a great experience with Alamo Tulsa. However I wish there was some communication about going through the toll in regards to being billed after I returned to California. I am having a terrible time getting Apple credit card to just pay the toll bill because I am not in Oklahoma to "authorize" the transaction. I feel If I was noticed when the transaction could occur maybe it could have been paid. Very frustrating. I can get a hold of Alamo Tulsa. If you get this please try to process the transaction again today 10/4/24! Apple said it will only be processed today. (Ugh, this is very frustrating.) UPDATE: I finally was able to pay my TOLL bill myself online. Please let people know that their credit card will be charged to pay the toll. I had a heck of a time trying to get Apple to process this transaction due to them thinking it was fraud. Ugh. I contacted Alamo online agent and he directed me to a direct website where I could pay the toll. I tried it again with Apple and they decline it! So I tried my Venture Capital and that card saved the day. I finally got my toll Bill paid. I am unhappy with Apple at this time. Even after I confirmed 3 times that I made the transaction it kept getting declined as a fraud protection. This is NOT a negative reflection on Alamo but I just wish I could have paid the toll BEFORE I left Oklahoma. read more

Debbie and Mason were very friendly, efficient, professional and helpful. Our Nissan Sentra had an air conditioner that was so cold you could keep ice in a frozen state! Best AC ever! We would here rent again just to experience those penguins! Brrrr. Check in and check out process was easy and hassle free(we booked online). Debbie explained everything to us in a concise manner. Mason checked us back in very quickly and was super pumped up to help us and be at work. Would highly recommend this location and their staff. They didn't have the car size I reserved and then charged me for upgrading to something bigger. We had both our kids (2 and 1) and couldn't even fit in the car they gave us. I called and they said they would refund me and didn't and the manager of this place lied over the phone several times. I hated it here, stay away. EDIT: I was asked to reach out to them. I have called customer support 3 different times over the span of a month, all said they would call me back and one said I would get a refund. Nothing happened and I never heard back. I would reach out to the managers and they would just talk in circles, say they will call back and then never hear from them again. 3 times in a row with different people each time. Katie, the customer care representative who checked us in for our Alamo rental in the Tulsa Oklahoma airport garage was very professional, friendly and helpful. It was great to be able to get tollbooth pass for our traveling. This was something I forgot about and Katie offered it up after we discussed where we were traveling to. Mini van was clean, comfortable and accommodated 4 women and all of our luggage. Upon returning vehicle, I did share with the young fellow that the reverse was highly sensitive and would brake when there was nothing to brake for. However, overall vehicle was great. read more

do not rent from them!! my daughter was involved in a wreck with someone who rented from almao tulsa ok. he ran a red light tboned my daughter. no insurance papers in the rental and now almao says they have no record of the car vin or license plate listed on the police report!! her mercedes is totalled and they will not give us the insurance informatio. he received a ticket for running a red light and was at fault!!! alamo does not care for anyone on the roads only about themselves. someone from the corporate office best be in contact with us before it's handed over to our attorney!!! read more

When you landed at Tulsa airport, the rental counter desk inside the airport will say "counter closed". You will head outside to the car rental garage. The big dude at Alamo was not friendly at all. First he gave me a car that smells cigarette. I am a non-smoker so I couldn't take it. He tells me he has no other car (there are tons of cars in the lot). Then he gave me a car that smells weed. He insisted that's the only car left. I drove out of the airport but immediately took it back because the smell of weed was giving us a headache already. He claimed there is no more car of the size I reserved - intermediate. It will take at least 3-4 hours for them to get the weed smell out. He told me the only way for me to get a car is to do an upgrade but then I have to pay more. I am like "what? I reserved almost a year ago." I told him I will have to cancel and go to Enterprise. He told me Alamo works together with Enterprise. Out of the blue, he appeared with a key to a car which didn't smell cigarette or weed. This car has been parked near us the entire time. After more than an hour, we got the car and drove immediately to Norman, a city south of Oklahoma city. When we got there (2 hours drive), we noticed immediately the head bumper had loosened and already came out half way (from the wind/drive on the freeway). From there, we wasted a day's worth of traveling just trying to get a new car to get back to Tulsa for a business conference. It was a nightmare with all the phone calls. However, we finally got a decent car from Alamo in Oklahoma City Airport. This Alamo rental place needs to have better cars. They should NEVER try to hide smells of weeds and cigarettes in their cars. They should NEVER try to hide loosed bumpers and please fix them before renting out to their customers. HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! I always go on vacations and rent cars, especially from Alamo. This was the most horrible experience and place I have ever encountered. IF THERE IS NO MORE RESERVED CARS OF THE SAME SIZE, YOU NEED TO UPGRADE AT NO COST TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. read more

I called the day prior to our arrival to Alamo at Tulsa Airport. Our flight information was attached to our reservation since our flight was to land at 12:03 am and the desk closed at 12 am. Alamo assured me that the desk would remain open until we arrived. I was at the pick up desk by 12:10 am and the desk was closed and no Alamo employee was in the garage. I was left stranded by Alamo at the airport at midnight. I will never recommend Alamo and will never use Alamo again. read more

BEWARE!!! If your flight is delayed and you arrive after hours... Even if you call Alamo and they say they are staying open - Even if your airline claims they have a contract with them and they are supposed to stay open... They won't stay open. And you and the other 15 families will be stranded at 12:30AM in Tulsa. Then when you call, they will tell you it's not their issue and you need to contact the airline which will send you back to Alamo. Good luck and safe travels. read more

The only reason I even gave a star is because I can't do no stars. I needed a one way rental from OK to TX after a intoxicated driver hit me. The guy trying to help me sounded nice but once we got a reservation we went to the rental company he set us up with and guess what no rentals are available. Made the reservations online a week before needing the car. Showed up on the afternoon to pickup the car, the lady was very friendly and I received an upgrade at no extra cost. Dropped the car off the next day and the quote price was exactly the same price I paid. The car was clean and ready as I expected. Will use them again next time I need a rental car. read more

???? Mixed review. There was a lady at the counter inside the airport but there was a sign that read "counter closed." I heard her direct someone outside and the gentleman in the garage was very pleasant. However the car we rented was absolutely filthy. The windows were so dirty I couldn't see out of them and the interior had dirt all over. It was a bit late (10pm) and the day before Thanksgiving, so perhaps they were busy?? Five stars and kudos to the Alamo manager at Tulsa airport who help me in resolving an issue I was unconfortable with: the counter person forced me to get additional insurance beyond the one I wanted to buy at pickup (rushing for work). When returning the car, I brought the situation to the manager and she fixed it. She also stated clients shall not be forced to buy the insurance they do not want to buy. The fellow in the airconditioned booth on a friday afternoon had no reason to complain or be lazy and he was both. He was a big dude and very matter of fact. His counterpart, a woman sweating profusely outside the booth and hustling cars, was friendly and funny. We got damage waiver and a tollbooth pass then he gave us keys and pointed. I asked if he was going to walk us to car and go over it, he said " no, if you find a dent bigger than a credit card, take a picture" Really? It was pretty clean and full of gas. We drove the heck out of it and returned late on Sunday afternoon. We just pulled up and the lil gal took the keys, gave me a receipt and said, "see y'all " so i guess that was good, and it was fast. Fairly good prices, but DW was 27.99/day, which seems expensive, unless you've ever dealt with damage to a rental...so it was fine with me. Nice to not stop at tollbooths but that was another $4/day. All in all, it wasn't a bad experience. More personal service would be good. read more

This was the WORST experience I have ever had with any rental company and I will never use Alamo again. I had a reservation, which I was perfectly happy with, but the representative said that he could get me a cheaper deal in a similar vehicle. Before finding out if this was true, he cancelled my reservation, losing my rate and put me in a WORSE car (hated the jeep) for 2x my reservation price! At first the price was $800 MORE than my reservation and when I started to complain and freak out, he changed the rate to half. Had I not needed the car immediately and another car rental had a car that I needed, I would have NEVER used your services. I feel like I was conned and even though I needed the car longer, I went with another company for almost half the price for a WAY better suv. I am SORELY disappointed and will not be returning. I want you to know that your employees need to be trained better and your customer service needs to improve. Very unhappy with this company. My husband and I left a couple items in the car. We called looking for them, said someone was going to call back- never did. Called again & they put a request & had to wait for an email, no response. Called again a month later and still no response. We vlog and noticed that the items were left in the car, they have been ignoring us on purpose and makes you think they kept items. 3 months later (today) I had to open yet another ticket & still no response. I've used Alamo in the past, and have had good experiences with them. I wanted to get a car for the weekend, and was able to get a same day reservation (on a Saturday afternoon). Total came to roughly $35 for two days. The staff was friendly inside as well as where I picked up the car. read more

I made the booking through Costco and got an excellent rate. They provided a new Altima with only 2400 miles to me for the rental. The problem was that the car was not clean and had stuff from the previous renter in the back seat. When I returned the car at the airport, there was nobody at the rental Kiosk. I went to the rental counter and she told me to go back and drop the keys back at the rental kiosk. I gave her the keys but never got the receipt. read more

We rent cars all the time since we drive home to see family and would rather put the miles on a rental than our vehicles. I have found the best rates with Alamo as we are signed up as Alamo insiders. We also take advantage of the prepay to save a few extra dollars. Our last rental over the Labor Day weekend we were upgraded to a full size suv and the extra room came in handy! read more

I have rented 10 separate cars from them while mine has been under repair. Never had any issues with using a debit card, then some new chick decided to switch things up and said absolutely no debit cards (all I brought with me was my license and debit card) and she was so incredibly rude and nasty saying their policies are absolutely no debit cards, I've got the statement to prove she's wrong. I had to call my ride back just so I could use their credit card, which was highly inconvenient. I never had a problem with them. But it only takes one nasty person to ruin a companies reputation, and that blond, chunky girl smeared my view of Alamo all together now. I will never rent from them again. read more

This is my second time using Alamo Tulsa and the customer service is complete first class. Both times my car was upgraded at no additional cost. The prices are great which is my original intent on choosing Alamo but I have to say those are some really nice people at the Tulsa Alamo. The only thing I can gripe about is that it is a really long walk now from the airport to the cars. At least 1/4 mile. I sprained my ankle while I was out there and man I labored to get back to the terminal. read more

Such a bad experience. They didn't have the specific car I requested, Mustang.. which I had called to confirm they had that very morning. More issues which were frustrating to say the least. Bottom line is I was left stranded at the airport with two car seats in the 95 degree heat. I would never rent here again. Will always stick to Enterprise. read more

We were very happy with Alamo Rent A Car. We rented for 1 week over the phone a month early, car was clean inside and out, gas tank full, customer service was wonderful. People were polite and smiling like they loved their job, price was good and even got a upgrade in car. Because the car was newer than ours we could not find the head light switch until we got to Kansas, (we were driving in the morning) so would recommend you put the car manual in the glove box. First off I want to say that the agent at the car rental place was great. He got us on our way in no time. The person that checked us out told us to look the car over and to let them know if we say and dents larger than a golf ball. There was a small dent on the drivers side but not larger than a golf ball, so we said it was good to go. Never do that and always take a photo. Believe me we learned the hard way! The problem came when we returned the car. They noticed the small dent and indicated that there was a change in the condition of the car and took an incident report. They continued to ask us how and where it happened. They filed an insurance claim against and after several weeks we get this bill in the mail for well over $1,000, telling us to remit payment immediately or they will charge my credit card. They include pictures of a large scratch and dent that looks like it is from a different vehicle and even appears to be on the other side of the vehicle. There is no way to argue with them, as they will not listen and just keep saying that the condition was changed so we are liable. My take on this is that this is a scam they are running! I've talked to several people and apparently this is common practice for them. read more

Worst car rental service ever. First time we've ever used them and will never again. Arrived at the airport and went to the rental car counters, we had a reservation online, however noone was at the counter. The person at another rental car company said the counter for Alamo was closed and to go to the rental car drop off downstairs. This was about 4ish in the afternoon. No other rental car counter was closed. Went to the rental car pickup/drop off booth and again noone was there. Went next door to another company and they said someone will be right back. Really? How are they doing business if there is noone to help you? Waiting a few minutes and someone finally showed up and then proceeded to tell us that we needed to go back upstairs and see the person at the counter. We had to explain to them that the counter was closed and noone was upstairs. The person made a grimace of disgust or annoyance, either way it was not professional and then proceeded to finally help us. Was not friendly in any way. Told us a stall number and that was it. Couldn't tell us where the freeway was or where any hotels were or anything. Didn't even seem to know the area or they just didn't want to be helpful. Found the whole experience extremely rude. Went back to the dropoff before our return flight, couldn't again find anyone at the booth to return the car. Waited again. Finally someone came by and was not friendly or helpful, couldn't even point us back to where we needed to go to get back into the airport for ticketing. Not even a thank you for using them. Nothing. I'll stick with Enterprise from now on. Or anyone else except Alamo. read more
