I love Alamo!! It's been one of my favorite coffee spots for the last few years now as it is conveniently on the way to round rock off 1431. They're generally pretty quick if no one is in line, their specialty drinks are delicious but my #1 is always the iced tres leches latte! The staff is very patient and friendly, and their rewards system is fantastic -- I'm always seemingly able to redeem a free drink! I wish they opened another location closer to the cedar park/ Leander area, but otherwise I will continue to pit stop on my way to round rock. read more

I've been meaning to try Alamo and finally stopped in. The interior has some great spots for coffee meet-up or out of the house computer work needs. I got a standard avocado toast which was good, generous toppings. I had an iced toffee latte, it was only okay, a bit strong on the syrup flavor. Great little spot for coffee. It also looks like they serve food and beers as well. I went here for coffee in the morning and got a tres leches latte. The drink itself had a hint of cinnamon in it, maybe a little bit for me, but overall it was nice and refreshing. I would probably go back and try the Asian Cowboy as it sounds pretty good. The inside has tons of tables for you to enjoy your drink and food. It also seems like they are dog-friendly as I saw people with their dogs inside the shop. They serve beer but it's obviously an afterthought. I get tired of coming in here and no one knows how to pour a beer. I get told I can't start a tab by one person and the next time I come in someone will let me start a tab. The taps are half empty sometimes and the little plastic plugs are still on all the taps. The beer is flat most of the time too which tells me they don't care for their beer lines or taps. The person at the register is not allowed to pour beer half the time, underage or not TABC certified I assume. I think I'm being generous with two stars, I only gave two stars because the staff is nice and at least they are trying. I don't drink coffee here so maybe take that into account when you consider my review, for all I know the coffee is great. Stop serving beer or train your staff better and take better care of the beer side of things. read more

I had previously visited the location in San Antonio and was excited to try this one closer to home in Georgetown. The cafe has plenty of seating and a really quiet, cozy vibe -- perfect for relaxing and have a cup of coffee. I ordered a large matcha and a peach Danish, which came to $10.50, plus a $1 tip. The shop is tucked close to the neighborhood and just off the busy Cedar Park highway, so it's super easy to access. Definitely a nice spot to unwind! read more

What a cute coffee shop! It was really clean and staff was very friendly. It is a place to go study, work or catch up with friends. There is parking in the parking lot and it doesn't look like it gets super crowded but if it does, then you might have a problem with parking. There is a little patio area if you don't want to sit inside ,so in a nice fall day might be a place to go. I got the Mayan mocha latte with hazelnut and it's actually really really nice. I also got the avocado toast. I ended up subbing the salt and pepper for that everything bagel seasoning. oh and I added bacon to it I would've added egg, but their egg is like premade so it was a no for me. I used to love this place for the teas! $3/20 oz with no ice added. Heads up for others: As of this week, they now charge $1.50 extra for each medium drink without ice. More $ for large drinks with no ice. Bummer. $4.50 for 20 oz is too high! The girls working the drive thru are always nice. The first problem was that they charge a 3% credit card surcharge. That's enough for me to never come back. At least it was posted. The seating isn't the most comfortable, bar stools and some metal chairs. It's ok. Lots of space, but fewer power outlets than I expected. Luckily it wasn't busy. Again, just ok. Wi-Fi wasn't working (no DHCP), so that was a big letdown. Disappointing. I didn't like the coffee, but to each his own. Overall, it's not the worst in the world, but there's absolutely no reason for me to pick this place, so I won't be coming back. Especially with the credit card surcharge. read more

I had stopped by here to get some work done. I've been to their original location in San Antonio before and am familiar with their brand and coffee. This was my first time at this location, however. I asked them to make me a noisette, which is a shot of espresso + a splash of milk. It is very popular in France. They weren't familiar with it but went out of their way to make it for me after I explained how to make it. I appreciated the barista asking me if I wanted a single or a double shot, and proceeded to add the appropriate amount of milk to match. The espresso tasted as good as I remember it being! They also have free wifi available and plenty of chairs and tables. The only complaint I have is that their music was turned up too loud. There were other people working in the cafe, but they all seemed bothered by the music volume. The cafe's interior space is prone to echoing, so the music may have seemed louder than it really was. First time trying Alamo coffee (The sizes are VERY LARGE) They have similar offerings to Dutch bros Got a praline cream, Frappuccino - was pretty good Iced Caramel macchiato - also good! The Ham and Cheese Croissant was given to us cold, (asked if it's supposed to be hot and they said yes) and we had to return it to get it heated up. Also very small. The Everything Avocado Toast was disappointing. It was clearly premade and boxed before anyone ordered it. The avocado was browning and was a little fizzy like old guacamole. I ordered the tres leches iced latte in a medium and for me, typically I love a sweetened coffee but this was extremely sweet! I had to wait for my ice to melt a little so that it could water down the sweetness a little bit.. even after the Ice melted, the drink was soooo sweet! I walked in on an early Saturday morning and noticed long tables great for groups or friendly meeting of strangers. They were almost full of people. I received friendly and patient service, letting the employee know it was my first time. This is no standard coffee shop. This is shown by the fact that I got a white chocolate nitro cold brew. I haven't seen that anywhere else up on a menu.  I also chose a beautiful lemon blueberry muffin. The muffin was moist, full of blueberries with a nice flavor of lemon. The sugar on top was a nice texture without too much sweetness.  Finally, it was a regular sized muffin.  I am so happy to find that! My white chocolate nitro cold brew was a unique drink. I'm not sure if I liked it. At one moment, it tasted like the nitro cold brew, then white chocolate would sneak in and back to the cold brew.  It was also a beautiful pecan color. If I'm back in this area, I'll stop back in to try something different and get a new experience. read more

I came this morning via drive through and ordered two items. Tres Leches iced coffee This beverage was overwhelmingly sweet, but I wasn't surprised with a name such as this one. If you are in the mood for sweet, candy like coffee, this may be for you! Chipotle Club I am not sure what to say about this. I have included a photo of what I ordered and the photo of what I received. This was supposed to be a pressed sandwich but instead what I received was flaccid (can you call a sando flaccid, welp, I just did), with cheese that wasn't remotely close to being warm and was still in its out of the box cheese single form and was greasy. With a price tag of $15.83, for what was presented, I do not believe this will be my new spot (sorry, not sorry). read more

Had some time to kill in the area and have been wanting to check this place out for some time after always passing on the road. I was greeted right upon entry by a super attentive, nice staff. I was spending a bit of time trying to explore the menu and they were very accommodating and patient with me. I was suggested the bourbon bagel (will try next time!) but ended up with the avocado toast w/ everything since I thought a bagel would be too filling at the time. I also went with a cold matcha latte. Matcha latte is SO GOOD. It's creamy, with I think a hint of honey? I don't even know but it's the perfect amount of sweet while still maintaining the matcha taste. And even a small is pretty large so you definitely feel like you get your money's worth. The avocado toast was pretty standard - the bread was toasted to perfection and they even added a layer of cream cheese which I loved. I'd be interested in seeing what evenings look like here, as they have a great beer selection and supposedly live music according to their exterior banner. Overall, I give two big thumbs up for coffee shops that offer great food options for us folks who are incapable of cooking for ourselves haha. Oops! Did I not write a review my 1st couple times here!?! Ok, let me see if I can blend it all together. I'll start by saying that Alamo is out of the way for me to go to. Today, because I had a fantastic 1st experience and then an ok one the 2nd, I took my son in the pouring rain to Alamo so we could have hot chocolates when we went to play at the park in the rain together. (Yah, I know, we're wild like that) Anyway, I came here now to UPdATE my assumed 5 star review I had written to give a 1 and balance it out a bit. Today was the worst. Frustrating to say the least. I shall say more. There were maybe two cars in the lot and one car at the speaker box of the drive through when we arrived. I pulled up behind the woman and we waited. She was ordering and then... was she still ordering!? I do t even know because I didn't want to let the rain in by rolling down my window. This went on for 5 minutes. Not Alamo's fault, right? I get to my turn for the ordering. Do they have hot chocolate? Yes, great. I ordered a latte for myself. Then I asked for a chocolate croissant. They're out. (Weird). Ok, what's sweets DO they have, I ask. The guy suggests a double chocolate chip muffin. Perfect, yes. My son has hope in the universe once again. We pull around and the lady ahead of us is still sitting at the window. Waiting. Waiting.... Waiting????? Waiting. Omg, waiting. WTH did this woman order!?! Waiting... then I start telling my son about how if you're going to ordering a ton of stuff, the right thing to do is park and go inside, because this wastes the time of people who do drive thru because it's fast. Waiting. 15 minutes!!! We finally pull ahead (btw, she got 5 drinks and a cup of ice- not sure why it took so long- it wasn't crowded) Ok, so our turn. (I'm trying to be light hearted and smile. Sooooo, what DO you have? Snickerdoodle or lemon blueberry muffin, she says. My sons heart sinks and I explain that maybe snickerdoodle could be a fun adventure. Ok. We wait. Out comes the muffin! Yay! Window closes and I'm sitting there. Sitting waiting. 5 minutes. Waiting. 5 more minutes. Window opens... "did you get your drinks?" I am trying SO hard to set a good example for my son but I'm about to lose it. Nope, I say cheerfully. She closes the window. We wait. We wait. Window opens, your drinks are almost ready. Waiting -5 minutes. I said to my son if I hadn't paid already I would just drive right over the little hill and leave. My son was so excited to get a hot cocoa because after one bite of the snickerdoodle muffin he handed it to me and told me I could have it. He sips his hot cocoa and says, is this tea? No, I tell him. It's hot cocoa. Not good? It has no taste, mom. I don't think it's hot chocolate. It's like. It's like dirty hot water, yah it's just dirty water. So, there you have it, my 1 star. Alamo team takeaway: Don't run out of a staple item offered. Dont offer an alternative that you aren't sure you have. Please pay attention to the time people are waiting and figure out how to be more efficient? And for Gods sake, figure out the hot cocoa? The package stuff is better than dirty water! 5 star review? My 1st time there I was AMAZED at their menu. I just went for a mocha and I left with some cool Myan mocha latte (freaking yummy!) and the 2nd visit I got the Golden Milk Latte. The BEST thing on the menu (especially if I never go back- I'll always remember and recommend this to others) the TEJANO!! Toasted Sourdough, Dijon Mustard, Tajin Mayo, Pickled Red Onion, Coffee Braised Pulled Pork, Shredded Chicken, & Swiss Cheese. Served with side of kettle chips Kettle chips that were even super yummy! That sandwich might bring me back for a 4th spin. So I was scrolling through my Facebook feed and saw a sponsored post to try their coffee, and the first one would be on them (free)! So I thought why not? My husband and I weren't too far away, so it only took us 15 min to get there. Very inconspicuous little place tucked away right off a busy road. Has outdoor and indoor seating which was nice! Not very busy when I went, which was a Saturday, early evening. I got a chai latte and my husband got their spicy mocha. We also opted to get a cheesecake danish. The girl at the counter was super nice, we had a nice little chat with her. Think she was in high school, but really well mannered! Our drinks were very tasty. My chai actually tasted real and not full of tons of artificial sweeteners. My husband said he didn't taste much spicyness until the last couple of sips. The cheesecake danish was insanely good. So.... I 5 stars is not going to cut it for me this time. I watched the building they are in sit for 5 plus years sit empty and I was beyond excited when we found out it would be coffee shop. Then I experienced Alamo! It was better than I expected. The coffee is excellent hand s down and we could just stop there. The menu has so many options on the coffee front and I haven't experienced most yet but I love the iced vanilla latte and the other iced beverages. The food is superb! I recommend the bourbon bagel sandwich. Did I mention there is beer! There's local beers on tap! I love the inside atmosphere open and clean and simple. The porch is great as well. I love to walk there with pups and sit and enjoy a cup. Or walking up in the evening and meet folks for a pint. The people are awesome and all the ordering is so simple since they use Toast and it manages your loyalty program which is sweet! Worth the drive as it is set on the entrance to the Sendero Springs neighborhood off of 1431. I had the dark roast coffee, which is the Gonzales Garrison blend. Dayum! It packs a punch. You don't have to be a coffeenista to really enjoy this smooth but bold blend of coffee. They offer coffee drinks, baked goods along with breakfast and lunch. I'm a bit of a coffee snob but if you're looking for a good place for coffee through Yelp, you might be too. So here is my honest review. I have tried this place three times before leaving a review just because I wanted to give it a fair shot, but honestly it's mediocre at best. The lattes always seem to be burnt, and it seems like they pour the hot espresso over ice instead of mixing the cold milk with the espresso first. So it's usually pretty watered down. Also, it rubs me the wrong way that when they put the card reader out the window, it already has a tip amount selected. Literally every coffee shop I've ever been to has you put in what you want to leave for a tip. In this case, you have to opt out of a tip, if you don't want to leave one...
