Pretty great restaurant in Venice. It was recommended by our hotel and the food was delicious. Probably one of the best meals we had in Italy. The price wasn't too bad either. I guess since it's not located in the overly touristy area? I had the lasagna and it was delicious. One of the best lasagna I've had in my lifetime. Loved the cheesiness of it! My friends got their pasta w meat sauce and pasta w clams. Both my friends liked their dishes and I thought it was good as well. There was plenty of clams for my friends dish which is always a plus. We actually did their 3 course meal for 18 euros. So I also got their caprese salad and fries. My friends got their pork escalopes and salad. Everything was good! Remember though portions are HUGE! You can share the 3 course meal btw 2 people for sure... We also got their tiramisu for dessert and it was good! Nomnom! If I'm ever in Venice I would most definitely go back! :)

My hotel recommended this restaurant and it was a good choice. I love their spaghetti vongole. It comes with fresh baked bread : delicious ! It is primarily a pizza and pasta restaurant. Great wait staff.

We learned early on that to find great food at a reasonable price we needed to head away from the main strip by the water. We found this gem while walking down alley's and turning corners that in the US you might not turn down. They weren't scary or anything, but you just didn't know if there was anything down there! I'm the vegetarian of the group so I had a veggie pizza which was quite good. My carnivorous eating companions all enjoyed their meaty selections as well. Friendly service, warm atmosphere, we highly recommend this place to others!!

    Glass ceiling!

This was the first restaurant I went to in Venice. I was hungry and tired when I arrived in the evening. I took a walk and passed this restaurant. They had a staff standing outside promoting the restaurant. 3 course meal for €18 which was a good deal! My dinner was: Spaghetti al pomodoro (spaghetti with tomato sauce) The spaghetti was al dente firm to the bite. The sauce was light, maybe just what I needed for that evening. Scaloppine al vino bianco (escalopes with white wine sauce) The pork escalopes was lean and tender. Insalata mista (mixed salad) The mixed salad was very refreshing. The mixture of balsamic vinegar mixed well and coat evenly with the vegetables. They were very generous with the portions. Sadly I did not manage to finish the pork escalopes. This was due to my unpleasant journey from the airport. I felt a little nauseous. The waitress asked me if there was something wrong with the pork escalopes. I said no, it was perfect. I asked to take away the leftovers.

My husband and I decided to try this place based on how amazing it smelled as we walked by. We were not disappointed! We are here two nights in a row. Fantastic mushroom pizza (and spicy salami) with very friendly service. Would definitely recommend. Just ask a hotel concierge how to find it.

Most delicious bolognese I've ever had. Authentic and delicious, 10/10 would go back if I'm in Venice again.

The pizza here is the highlight, and indeed, it was pretty excellent, though I would say in general, we had nothing but excellent pizza while anywhere in Italy. The pasta we had was... just ok, and the very large salad we all split was really good. The best part of this place, and dining in Venice generally, is taking in all the sights and sounds while eating streetside. It's such a unique place to be, and without the sound of cars everywhere, still give you a little bit of that old world feel... speaking of Venice of course, because other than this being in an old building, everything inside Rossopomodoro was pretty modern. Sorry I don't have much more to say about the food at this place. We had a lot of memorable meals while in Italy, and this one just didn't stick out like the others, though it was perfectly fine.

Really Mediocre luke warm food that was really meh. The Arancini was almost cold. Pizza was greasy and cold. Okay the Bombolina was not cold....but that's a donut...da. It was probably the best thing. Walk farther and avoid this place...there are too many places that serve better food.
