The girl taking orders was very charismatic and effective, she could clearly explain the menu and move the line quickly. The food was delicious and the fish was definitely fresh. Every time someone ordered, she would recommend the best way to have the meat cooked, which was super helpful. The only thing was that we didn't notice any salsa on the tacos, but it was okay because the chipotle sauce the put on the fish tacos was fantastic anyways. YUMMY is the best way to describe their tacos. Flavor is very rich, size is very good for the price. I used to live in San Francisco and got spoiled by so much good Mexican food there. This food tuck is definitely one of these places I want to come back to all the time! Unlike many taco places in Kauai, they don't throw on tons of cheese to add flavor which keeps the focus on the meat. My favorite is their Pastor tacos. The way the pork is cooked and the flavor they marinate their meat remind me of Korean BBQ. Very nice! Be sure to ask for some hot sauce as well, very spicy and delicious! This cute food truck has Mexican colored tables just outside their truck off the Kapaa bike path. You can even take carry out and find a picnic table next to the Ocean! Their food is delicious! We had the fish tacos and the shrimp tacos,, which were outstanding! Their fresh fish for the day was ahi, cooked to perfection. The home made pinto beans and rice are perfectly seasoned. The fish tacos were pretty good. This was our 3rd attempt at finding good fish tacos (at recommended locations), and these were definitely the best. Not the best I've ever had but decent. I liked that rice (and beans, if you want) was included. Worth considering as a lunch stop before your shave ice at Tege Tege. :) Open on Sundays, which is less common. read more

Super sweet lady serving us told us that they had fresh caught ahi and suggested to get it cooked medium rare. Hubby got delicious ahi tacos and I got the garlic shrimp tacos. Two tacos on each platter double lined with corn tortillas topped with salad and sauce. Sides of rice beans and guac. All extremely fresh and tasty. Side of chips and salsa was great, salsa is mildly spicey with lots of flavor. Did not come away hungry. $32 for all this food and a drink. Very pleased and we certainly be back! read more

I ordered the fish tacos dish (comes with two tacos, rice, beans, and guacamole). The catch of the day was fresh ahi so I expected some chopped up pieces of fish. What I got instead was two tacos filled with two HUNKS of ahi. It was incredible! Super flavorful vegetable topping and sauce topped them off. The people who run the truck are so friendly and seem to have a faithful number of customers. Definitely stop by (and pick up some tege tege shaved ice afterward). read more

I decided to try this place after a friend sent me a pic of the meal she had. Also heard so much great reviews about the food here. We went there for lunch and the owner who took our order is super friendly who is a local girl from Kauai. She brought us our order to our table...talk about friendly service!! We opened up our food tray and we just was awed at what was presented. It came with a side of rice and beans. Of course, after a few pics taken with our smartphones we devoured our meal and enjoyed them! My recommendation is to try this food truck as the food is awesome! read more

We got off the plane and were hungry. Van ride was going to be 45 minutes or so. My sister in-law asked if we wanted some fish tacos. I'm not really into them, bit I was getting hungrier. We stopped off the road in what felt like home, a pod of 6 food trucks. We are from Portland and so no stranger to awesome food trucks and the great culture that comes with it. They have a great selection of different tacos meats. Pretty much the plates are $11 for Two tacos, beans and rice and guac. Everyone else was ordering the fish tacos (which we were told were pink snapper today,) I decided to go for the eponymous plate, Al Pastor. Sorry, we're out. DAMMIT! I say that everyone else is (in out group) is getting fish. She suggests the garlic shrimp. Now how did she know I was a shimp lover? ( by lover, I mean degenerate shrimp make-out king) (goddamn I love shrimp) While we wait, I go out to the beach and say hellos to the island. I kissed the beach and honored the local spirits. I get back and holy Quran ( why did that word come up first in the suggestions box!?) There are my tacos. And for good measure, a fat, fatty sweet ass head-on prawn stacked in top. Oh mama! It was all so very good and I'm starving again reading this. The chipotle crema sauce was yums and the little dollop of guac was very tasty. I'd probably skip the beans and rice next time and just get another taco ( ala carte tacos are cheaper.) Please honor this place and make it a destination for your visit. read more

Just had the most amazing shrimp tacos ever! The shrimp were so incredibly fresh and scrumptious! The owner Faun is super sweet and was very attentive to my daughter's gluten, dairy and soy allergies. Highly recommend this food truck which was sent from God above. We stopped here today for lunch and overall we really enjoyed it. My only complaint was they mixed up how my wife and I ordered our fish. I ordered the fish tacos medium rare and they were well done. (Still enjoyed them). My wife ordered the fish tostadas medium well and they were medium rare ( she ate around the raw part). Two of my kids had chicken tacos and the third had steak tacos and the kids were thrilled with there's! Two things that stood out were the fresh salsa and the rice; they were outstanding! BEST TACOS ON THE ISLAND OF KAUA'I The service here is great! You feel so welcomed, and you are always greeted with a genuine smile. Food, was amazing! I tried every taco on the menu! My taste buds were very happy. My personal favorite are the Al Pastor tacos (pork) and the Lengua (cow tongue). Trust me, once you were the words "cow tongue" you freak out, but it is amazing. Has so much flavor, and the meat is so moist. You HAVE to try it, you are going to fall in love. Each plate comes with beans and rice also, and I must say they are ono-licious!
