Lange Lange Lange.......Our server Lange may the whole dinning experience so much more superb. He make sure he answered all of my wife's questions and made sure he can make a dish gluten-free if possible. When the queen is happy I am happy. The food was amazing. The ambience was stunning. Overall, phenomenal experience. A+

Located next to The Ray hotel. Tuna pizza exceeds expectations despite misleading photos in yelp. Food is Pricey but worth it for quality. Portions are small. Bar seating had excellent service by Kelly. Sleek spot for a special night out.

Somewhere between the tuna pizza and the salmon tiradito I decided this is the best sushi place in Delray. The food was incredible, the service was amazing, and the cow-wow roll was so unique I almost got a second one. So glad I came and so glad it exists because I no longer have to drive to Miami for great sushi! Don't skip the dessert because the chocolate cup was great too.

Toro Caviar Tuna belly + caviar... how can this combination ever go wrong? This dish is a total showstopper, and it tastes as good as it looks. AB Tuna/mushroom Pizza Their classic dish. You can order it with just or , or get a half-and-half. Wagyu Tacos I've always thought these were pretty good, but this time I found them to be a tiny bit too salty. Hokkaido Scallop A perfect summer appetizer. It's a scallop sashimi dish with kiwi and some grapefruit juice, super refreshing. Also, the Grilled Alaskan King Crab is highly recommended. They've revised this dish many times. It used to be a stack of about eight crab legs, then they halved the number, and now it's served in a chic little box with just three legs.

This place is always great. The food is fresh and a nice mix between raw and cooked food. The ambience is elegant although at times can get loud. The staff is well trained and knowledgeable in their menu. The fried rices are all great, the rolls are really tasty and dessert are above average. You really can't go wrong trying this place.

Absolutely unreal. Couldn't recommend enough! Everything we ordered was so good and the service was great. Super attentive and gave great recommendations based on what we liked.

Let's start by saying that this restaurant is a wow! Akira Back has restaurants all over the world. Savannah our waitress was on point about the items on the menu. If she said that it was spicy, it surely was. We started with their tuna pizza. We then shared their hot mess sushi that also was a wow! The lamb chops with smoked Japanese miso came highly recommended and after having it I understand why. For dessert we had their AB cigar which is Japanese whiskey ice cream over a chocolate brownie with cocoa served like a cigar in an ashtray. This is a great find. Pricy but worth it. We will be back.

We came here on a whim a couple months ago and decided after we left we would come for my husbands birthday dinner. Our first experience we sat at the bar and it was overall amazing. The bartender suggested we get a few items and share. So we did the short rib fried rice, edamame with kimchi butter, hot mess sushi roll. Make sure you get extra kimchi butter because you will want to put it on everything. We literally CANNOT stop talking about this food. This hot mess roll was by far the best sushi roll either of us have ever had. No lie. Like my mouth is watering just thinking about it. So much that we came back a month later for my husband's birthday!! Every week we've shared this restaurant with someone. Literally don't even think twice, just make a reservation and GO!! This is our new go to for whenever we want truly good food. The service was great. The vibes were on point. The food INCREDIBLE!!!!!

Was more like a tour guide great knew everything about the menu and restaurant started salmon caper mini pizzas short rib rolls. Fish appetizers. Great wine menu and craft beer they were very attentive but not overkill Entrees were various sushi rolls , tender steak very eclectic. The food was the best sushi I've ever eaten anywhere in the world. Unique combinations. Flavors that explode with taste. There were so many dishes I can't name or remember everything we had but it was great Manager stopped bye very nice guy Desser. A surprise cake Yum espresso. You must try this place Expensive but worth it

Food is still consistently amazing and the prices are also a bit high as the portions are tiny and felt even smaller on this visit. Perfect place for a special occasion. Restaurant is still a bit loud. The tartares are my favorite. The dessert cigar has been changed. I didn't enjoy it like the original one. The cigar paper was missing and the Icecream was different. Check my new photo with the old one. I Enjoyed my dinner.

Started off with the geisha drink. I ordered it because it said honeydew. I did not taste much honeydew in. It just tasted like a cucumber martini, but we're still delicious. Moved onto the Toro tartar , which was not only fresh and delicious but a really cool presentation at the table. The grilled octopus was good, but nothing to write home about as well as the truffle bomb. I really didn't taste any truffle in. It was just the taste of Uni and the potato .we then got the scallops and crab legs from the robotic grill and both were delicious. Crab legs were a little spicy due to the Sriracha aïoli but nothing too overwhelming and I'm a baby with spice. Miso cod and short rib for our entrées both were cooked perfectly for dessert. We had the apple crisp . Was similar to a churro filled with apple had cinnamon flavor and vanilla ice cream and was delicious. Pricey for some of the things but good overall

It was refreshing upon entering the restaurant - the door separated the evening, slightly busy South Floridian street with some lingering heat from the elegant, luxurious atmosphere with comfortable couch and soft glow of candlelight coming toward you in no time. The restaurant managers and staff members warmly greeted and served us. I especially liked the manager called Michael. The appetizers and main dishes were amazingly delicious. The tuna pizza, lobster tempura, mushrooms, and black cod. The edamame and kimchi fried rice were a bit salty to my personal taste, but still were tasty. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Akira Back Delray is 10/10. The kimchi butter edamame is amazing and unlike anything else. The drinks are all so refreshing, and worth the money for a cocktail. the rock shrimp is also a great order. the seaweed salads have a pink seaweed and it is amazing. as for sushi, I have ever had a bad roll. it is all pretty unique I would say and you can't bring expectations from other sushi places. the cow wow roll, perfect storm, and pop rockin are so good. The perfect storm roll is my favorite, but it is very spicy, so you have to like spicy. I am not a cod fan, but even the miso black cod was amazing. worth the hype!

This review is strictly based upon our lunch delivery via Uber Eats…read more I ordered the Beef Bulgogi Bento Box. The Korean style beef was okay, but I needed to add eel sauce for some extra flavor. The 1/2 California Roll, gyoza and side salad with ginger dressing were fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the sushi roll the most. My two coworkers both ordered different types of sushi rolls. One had fish and the other was a sweet potato roll. The restaurant packed both of the rolls in the same box, which resulted in a mess, as the sauce on one roll got mixed in with the other roll. Again, this was take-out, so I am sure we would have had a different experience if we ate in the restaurant. I would like to try this restaurant again. Next time will be a dine-in meal instead of take-out.

This was my first time visiting Yama and three things popped up on my mind as to how they were able to stay in business for so many years. 1) The warm hospitality of the owner chef who was Korean, still tending to his sushi bar and his customers after working behind the sushi bar himself for decades in his younger years. 2) The beautifully and intricately designed interior that reminded me of upscale looking Izakaya dining space that was still affordable. 3) The fresh quality ingredients that they use and in house made salad dressing was a nice touch. The sushi was decent. There was too much rice used and too much going on top of the sushi pieces for my liking, but I still managed to finish them. The servers were welcoming and the manager was very hospitable checking up on me to make sure I had everything that I needed. Will definitely recommend this place to others. The parking spaces were limited and it was crowded on a Friday night around 830pm.

We loved watching him work and he put a lot of care into every dish. He explained what everything served was and answered any questions we had. Honestly, I don't remember half of the things he said about what was what, but I greatly enjoyed eating it. The waitress was extremely attentive and sweet as well! Location itself is nice and parking isn't stressful. I loved the inside of the restaurant itself. It's a fairly small place so even if it's full, it would still feel intimate. My favorite was the Miso cod and Wagyu steak. There's nigiri pieces, a hand roll and a nice sorbet to end the night. Besides uni, my highlights were the sea bream and mackerel. I also requested hot water with lemon and it came in a pot with a tea candle, very well presented! I was impressed. Our dining sets were cleared very efficiently. Wish the servers would be more friendly and smiled more though. What left a bad impression was the server was in such a rush to check out our group, she ran my card twice and then said she refunded and ran my husband's card once but upon checking my CC statement, nothing was refunded so we were charged 3 times for 2 people. When I called to clarify, she said there's nothing she could do as everything on their end was correct and I needed to contact my bank. After much turmoil back and forth, she was able to find the mistake (she refunded the wrong guest) and finally corrected it. Frustrating experience.

The space itself is really nice--spacious, high ceilings, lots of natural light, and (important to me) plenty of bar seating. The staff has always been friendly and attentive, though yes... I tend to make friends with staff at places I frequent. It just happens. Location-wise, it's just around the corner from E Atlantic Ave, which makes it easy to get to without being overrun by the tourist crowds that stick strictly to the Ave. This most recent visit was just for drinks and, surprisingly, dessert (rare sweet tooth moment). I asked what they had and immediately went with the mochi ice cream--no regrets. Four flavors that tasted like green tea, vanilla, strawberry, and mango, all drizzled with rich chocolate and topped with whipped cream. Definitely hit the spot. So yeah--recommend.

Good presentation, simple, did not fall apart, tastes good. Price and portion was a plus 2) Salmon Carpaccio ($12)- comes with 5 pieces, topped with fried garlic and yuzu/truffle oil. I barely tasted truffle and I would think it would have came with more pieces, at least 6-8. Overall, tasted good 3) Beef short rib skewer ($9)- comes with 2 skewers of bite size pieces was underwhelming, a bit pricey.
